Very bad service. They told me to wait for 2 hour and after 5 hours I ask them how much time I have to wait and then they said we don't know the exact time.

I will leave this here, upon waiting for 4 hours just to be seen the doctors told me that i only have a few bruised ribs and that they should heal quickly.that was after he did his 3 minute exam of my body and sent me off.my ribs weren’t the problem. I had stomach ulcers.i found that out by going to a local clinic in my reserve.strathmore sucks and I would personally die then return to this hospital. Thanks for the help anyway.

Very bad place. Should be closed. My husband with Covid and almost could not stand was given some medication and kicked away at 3 am go sonewhere. His house was 500 km from there. Very rude and unhelpful doctors and nurses! How such people can care about smbody? ! They graguated fro Medical schools and universities, promise to help people!

I arrived in alot of pain. Was suprised to be seen by the registering nurse immediately. Had info exchanged, pressure, temp and heart rate done then went to admitting to register. Was in the waiting area for approximately 20 mins. Was brought into a room and the nurses were kind and attentive. The doctors were caring and concerned. They help make sure I was comfortable and they worked to help figure out what was wrong. I appreciated the way I was treated and cared for. I know it might not always be that fast depending on how many patients are in more of a need, so it was a lucky time I arrived. It is what it is. A hospital there when you need it. All you can hope for is staff that care and are able to help.

Waited 6 hours and my daughter still wasn't seen. Nurses were good but unable to do anything. Everyone was held in limbo and waiting for the useless doctor that was MIA. Seriously couldnt be more disappointed. With a nationwide shortage on children's medicine I have never felt more trapped and helpless, something has to change.

Seriously disappointed. This hospital should be closed. Brought my granddaughter in (infant) and I wasn't allowed in to help my daughter as he just had a cyst rupture and can barely stand, but is needed to make decisions for the wee one.

There are 3 cars in the parking lot all with moms or kids in them waiting for someone. I understand the covid rules are in place but this is a tricky situation.

The nurse was absolutely rude and wouldn't event let us explain the added person. Absolutely appalled. Not allowing people in with a very good reason and no need to be rude. If your unhappy at your job find a new one.

Mental health problems don’t mean anything to them! I was treated with zero respect and
waited 9 hours while everyone else just got moved ahead of me.

Sitting in the emergency lobby, apparently Alberta's health care system is so back logged but I've watched and listened to a group of nurses (6 or 7) chatting about personal stuff and socializing for the past hour at the main desk. Not impressed

Came in to the emergency doors with my head bleeding while I was nauseous and dizzy, front worker gives me attitude first things first, waited 3+ hours while the sitting room was completely empty

Came in at 5: 30 with a 2yo with possible infection after surgery. Waited a couple hours and then found out the doc doesn't even start work until 8am. Are you kidding me.no one to look at my kid until 8 and they didn't even tell me. Just sat me in isolation seating to wait for over 2hrs.
If they had told me I would of just drove into the childrens hospital.
Someone needs to set the Strathmore hospital straight.

Nurses are rude and judgmental.
They don't care about the lives of their patients or even their well being.

HIRE NEW AND BETTER NURSES

I came in may 27th for my daughters ear infection. I had thought everyone just sung the praises of nurses and drs but I’m shocked to read the scathing reviews. I think the anger is probably very mis directed. I do believe the medical system is broken and increasingly intrusive by design but find the government and policy makers at fault. However the staff here are mostly all are very sweet and come across real special when your nice to them. ——- Also I had no idea they worked more than me! I work ALLOT but these nurses were talking about doing consistent 16 hour days and they deal with allot more pressure than me. ———- Im not happy with the system but wish I had been more pleasant with them. I hope someone in charge there sees this review and encourages them.

Initial visit, front staff and doctor were concerned and accommodating for my son's injury. On follow up visit a week later, greeting nurse was friendly but that quickly went downhill the moment I dealt with admissions. From that point, no sense of friendliness or accommodations. Waited for 3 hrs before asking for a wait update only to get a snarky remark from the triage nurse. When finally met with doctor, no questions regarding how my son was feeling- just a 60 sec summary of the x-ray and next follow up appointment and he was gone.

Just to illustrate, out front was am elderly alone in her wheelchair trying to make it to the front door but could not. A staff member was outside as well amd could not be bothered to help the woman out so I did.

The staff in Emergency were quick calm and efficient, even at the tag end of the long night shift.

ABSOLUTELY BRUTAL.
I've been literally the ONLY person in the waiting room for 3 hours. No explanations, no estimation on time. Staff unfriendly and unhelpful. Should have driven to Airdrie.

I'm not sure where these negative comments come from because my 7 day stay was amazing. I went in with extreme pain and vomiting. Dr O'Brien quickly assessed me and diagnosed the cause of my pain. I was immediately made comfortable and admitted. During my stay Dr O'Brien and nurses were amazing. They were always very attentive, polite and caring. You could feel they actually cared. If I could give a higher rating, I would. A heartfelt thank you to all the staff for making my stay @ Strathmore Hospital the best it could be!

ER Doctor could care less about my serious infection, I was treated very poorly. Would not answer any questions and would not talk with me. Did not care that I was in severe pain.

Compared to where I come from.

It's never really fun to go to the hospital, but these folks were nice and the service was fast. There were a few nurses there with a great sense of humor #emerge

I went in the hospital emerg on Jan 11 215am and was admitted right away. The doctors an nurses on staff were tentative & helpful. When the shift change happed, same goes for the 'new' shift of the Nurses and Doctor.
