My previous review of Streats was not good, as the quality had gone down from when it was Joey's Urban. We avoided coming for a while, but recently started giving it another chance. I am really glad we did! There has been a substantial increase in quality and flavour in the food. We've been blown away by how consistently good the food has been! The prices are super reasonable for the quantity and overall every retuning experience has been positive. The classic poutine is very saucy and the fries have a great texture. The bowls are incredibly flavourful and have a lovely array of toppings. Well done! I highly recommend coming here!

I updated my review from 3 years ago. Still feeling like a 2 star. The smash burger didn’t seem like great value and it really didn’t present well. It also seemed to have a bit of a must flavour. My wife enjoyed her mango shrimp bowl at least.

I had high expectations, heading into strEATS. Not sure why? Maybe I had heard good things. Either way - it did not live up. It filled my belly, but I will likely not return. The fries were flavorless and ho hum. The taco was marginally better, but again, nothing I would seek out again. Staff was very friendly and the restaurant clean and tidy.

I love their tacos, most often get the fish but also tried the chicken and pork last time and they were also delicious. Service was fast and price was reasonable.

Beef burrito and fish tacos were amazing! They also had a great selection of pouting! Pricing is a bit up there but the flavor and service make it worth while. Oh, and I should mention that they do have some lunch specials that address the price issue.

I ordered 2 tacos - 1 pork & 1 chicken. Lot's of coleslaw and sauces on top of each. Sadly there was more coleslaw than protein. The chicken was really dry, the pork was a bit better.

I only came here today because I had an online deal to buy 1 taco and get one free. I did just that although the hype of this place wasn't as good as I thought. I was expecting a little more.

That being said 2 tacos were very filling.

Used to love ordering from this place, but ever since they stopped delivery, there's no point.

Order here if you want a taco full of hair. The guy who delivered it to me flat out lied to my face and said that there is no one with long hair working at their location. I can assure that I didn’t put it there due to not having long hair. PLEASE AVOID YOU MAY GET HAIR WITH YOUR FOOD! I have pictures to prove.

It is the perfect restaurant near me at Braeside, Oakridge even in South West Calgary for tacos and burritos. I am a regular customer here and tried most of the items alternatively buffalo chicken and mango shrimps are my favourite.

The taste and price made this restaurant highly recommendable.

Good ambience, all staffs are friendly and overall positive experience.

Next, I will try Jamaican Jerk Bowl

I ordered the Buffalo chicken poutine. No cheese curds, little to no random cheese and 2 tiny pieces of chicken. Definitely do not recommend. What a rip off.

The Tuesday fish & chip night price has gone up but it's still reasonable & the food is still good

I ordered online and the website said it would be 25 minutes. Showed up 25 minutes later and the guy on the phone couldn’t find my order then said it would be another 20 minutes. They also seemed really confused when I called for the curbside pick up even though that’s what the instructions on the website specifically say to do. The food is good but the service is awful. It shouldn’t take 45 minutes to make a couple tacos.

First time in StrEATS Braeside Kitchen and YOU have to go! It’s the cutest little spot with amazing food. The tacos are to die for. IT WAS FIRE! It’s a great experience. The ambiance is very welcoming and charming. Amazing beverages, food and service. Staff are extremely knowledgeable and make great recommendations.

I ordered the feature soft shell crab sandwich and it was unfortunately a waste of money. The crab meat is like half the size plus it was mostly breading when j ate it
Don't get me wrong, streats has amazing tacos but I just won't be ordering their crab sandwich anytime soon

I love going here with my dad. I heard about it from him. They have great deals on Tues (fish and chips) and thurs (fish tacos). They even have cookie ice cream sandwiches. Fun atmosphere very eco friendly. They have gift cards too.

I ordered the Jamaican Jerk Bowl, and it was super flavourful. I didn’t get a poutine this time, but I’ll definitely come back for one, because they looked amazing.

The restaurant itself was cool, with a huge wall of graffiti. And the staff were really kind!

I ordered from skip and the driver only grabbed the pop I ordered and none of the food. When I called the restaurant to see what happened they were amazing and re made our food for us to pick up even though they closed in 15 minutes! There customer service was amazing! Skip on the other hand was such a disappointment.

I’m assuming the food is really good because it looks and sounds amazing, however, I would know because they actually “close” before 9PM (Saturday) they start closing process around 8: 30 because when we got there at 8: 45 to order togo, everything was off, cleaned and put away. Should probably switch your hours to when you actually start shutting down your business.

Awesome meals & great deals. Often greasy; but, what do you expect with fried food when the taste is there!

It’s a 5 stars from my kiddo and 3 stars from me. Average of 4. Cool vibe, good service. Flavour was lacking a little bit. Overall pretty good. I like that they carry local brands and businesses for drink options.

Honestly a disappointment experience. Waited for 20 minutes and paid for 2 pieces of fish that were smaller than one of my fries. Hopefully next time will be better. However the taste was fantastic and the poutine was very delicious. Would also highly recommend the Buffalo chicken tacos.

Went there for my free "Karen Day" taco and was so impressed! Cool vibe. Love the Graffiti wall! Excellent food too. The chicken taco was so yummy, but the shrimp mango taco was amazing! I will be back for sure!

Best fish tacos in the city and the classic poutine is the best I've ever had! They need to open one in Mahogany!

Just ordered a great meal for two adults two kids all was amazing kids full didn't even want ice cream so very good service and staff highly recommend

Food here is excellent and definitely worth the money. One time I ordered food online from here and they missed the drinks so I called and they gave me twice as many drinks for free just to be nice. Excellent service.

Overall was an awesome experience. We ordered online and did a real mix of things, which is the biggest strength of this place. You can get whatever you want. Now I will say everything we had was great for what it was, though. We need to talk about one thing. Sauce. The tacos were great, but we're missing one thing, a bit of sauce on the meat would have been rad. Still a great meal and I will try it again.

I stopped getting the poutine, it's just way to expensive for what you recieve, Although the fish feast is DELICIOUS, and worth every penny.

First visit here and the tacos were great. The floor could have used a mopping as it was quite dirty and made the place look not clean.

By far one of the best places to get a fish taco and a mini poutine with your combo. The staff are extra nice and friendly. They're printed also come in different flavours which is great because I like the Buffalo chicken poutine

Nooooo. Duuuude. Not what I was expecting. The flavor combination was not good. I love a good Buffalo chicken wrap but the ingredients they use don't gel well IMO. The rice and celery and beans weren't good with Buffalo chicken and ranch. If it was lettuce, tomato and cheddar cheese it would be bomb! I was pumped to try this place too.

We were the first people in when they opened for lunch and had to wait 30 min for our tacos. They also served five groups ahead of us, one of which had the same order as us. They made the wrong food, then gave away our order. Then had to remake it. Remaking the food only took 5 minutes. This place is a mess.

Super sad- they just recently changed their gravy for the classic poutine and it’s disgusting. Won’t be going back, unless they change it back. Sucks as it was one of our favourite poutine places.

Stopped in for lunch a couple of times. The Buffalo chicken poutine was kinda meh. The 2nd time I tried the fish and chips. They were kinda pricey and also meh.

We recently tried strEATS for the first time and were very pleased with the service and quality of the food. The team brought the food out to the car and the meal was ready on time. I dropped 1-star as my wife didn't really enjoy the Peri-Peri, but the jerk chicken was good and the kids loved their tacos. We will be back.

Top level street food with a new feel to it. Decent prices as well as alcohol served. Wouldn’t take a date but it is a nice place to grab a quick bite and pass the time with a friend.

Just tried this place for the first time. It was AMAZING.had a fish taco, and a buffalo chicken taco. Both on point. People have posted complaints about the tacos being ice cold.if you are taking it to go, I could see that being a problem but only because the veggies are kept sooo fresh. I dined in and my fish was flavorful and fresh and hot, with nice crisp veggies. #onpoint

Very friendly staff! The tacos are delicious. Everything tastes fresh and made to order. I personally like a little more sauce than they put on but the actual flavors are delicious.
There could be more gravy on the poutine as well.

We had fish tacos a burrito a regular and mexican poutine. The tacos were delicious as usual. We were disappointed in the amount of gravy and cheese in the poutine. The burrito's lettuce was unexpected and it seemed more like a salad rice wrap with beef. Friendly staff, clean store and timely service.

I have had their tacos before but today it was horrible. I ordered the chicken taco. The chicken was all dried and hard almost tasted like turkey. It had no taste at all. Taco full of lettuce barley any meat in either of the three orders! Poutine was good tho

The rice is white and the hot sauce is franks. Taco delivery containers are a pain in the a$$ and finally, no napkins. The tacos were quite overpriced for the size and weight.

I got 3 tacos. Stood and waited 30 minutes for them to be freezing cold, and didn't even seem like they tried to warm up what little meat was on them. Absolutely drowned in creme. Brutal.

I went to the new location in downtown. I ordered the peri peri chicken taco and the perogie poutine. Both were tasty and great value! There isn't many places like this in the city. I highly recommend!

Excellent tacos, great quality food, atmosphere is mediocre and the food definatley isn't cheap. Poutine is good aswell. However only a 4 of 5 because of the price charged and the atmosphere is decent but not amazing. The food, which for me is the most important is excellent, fresh tasting and visually appealing. If your looking for a casual splurge quick bite this might be the place for you.

Cute place tucked into a mini mall. Tacos were really good. Well balanced with protein and veggies. Poutines was very good as well. Only four stars simply due to price vs portion size.

Can only give a 2. The service at the counter was actually really good! Very friendly and polite, but the food was lousy. $10 for a taco that was ice cold, the cheese not even melted. Just too expensive and underwhelming.

The food here is actually not too bad. The fish and chips tastes quite good, and I really like the lighter batter. Everything is prepared fresh, but I'm not sure if the fish comes in fresh or frozen. Regardless, the food here is good, the only thing holding me back from giving more stars is the friendliness of the staff. The staff here arent terrible, but I just feel that if there was an area to improve in, it would be trying to be more friendly and talkative with the customers. Other than this, the food is good and I will be back again in the near future.

I was hesitant to try the tacos as they seem a bit pricey, but decided to go for it. They are AMAZING! Each taco is backed brim with HIGH quality ingredients, and are VERY filling. Highly recommended!

This place is very good. Its quick and reasonably priced for something that isn't burgers.
We had mango shrimp, buffalo chicken and tandoori naan tacos.
The tacos each had fresh crisp slaw in them that gave them a great crunch the sauces on them were great too. The staff are very nice too.
All of the garbage is also compostable. That's a huge plus.
All in all I will be returning here again!

Great flavor and you won't leave hungry! Everything looks delicious! I ordered the fish burrito meal mini poutine and drink. Very good!
I'll be coming back next time I'm around Cedarbrae/ Braeside area.
