This Dhanda has very good sweets at reasonable price. Indian snacks are pretty good, specially Veg samosa. Bessan Burffi is amongst top quality and tates best in class. This place used to had done in facility as well. But, I believe they don’t offer dine in any more. Overall value for money, place. I like it personally.
It's very tasty food and good sweets. Nice service, but the only problem is you can smell the kitchen spices on the main counter. That's why 3 stars for the atmosphere. It's worth a try. Thank you
I m the regular customer. I always ordered food from this place They always gave the best service n food is always breath taking. When took first bit it took me to the other world.
The lady at the front helped me choose, and i enjoyed the selections,
ordered vege manchurian which was awesome, highly recommened to try.very generous servings too.chole bature were also really good, only issue was that the serving size was small for $9.
There's no option for zero star. I ordered jalebis last time for visakhi they said it's pure 100% desi ghee and when I ordered today and they say we never say it's 100% pure desi ghee it always comes as mix. It tastes like they fried in oil. When I phoned them lady was rude and started giving excuses. Karma is always there. As you sow, so shall you reap. Your kids will be receiving karma off your sins.
Had a worst experience……i ordered noodles & manchurian here & went after half an hr to pick it up & they said my order was not placed though lady checked my phone call was received…. Then they asked me to wait for another half an hr. Poor customer service. Never ordering from here again
If I could give them 0 I would. My 12 year old son went on his bicycle to get 2lbs of jalebies. They charged him $23. And refused to provide a recirpt. When he got home I called them and asked what the price is per pound she said $5/lb. So how does 2 lbs equal $23. I went to the store and I asked, the lady made excuses and blamed that we should’ve made sure that we were charged properly. I’m sure they have over charged other people in the past. If you can avoid this place please do so, they are thieves who take take advantage of smaller children.
Very poor service and we ordered food by call and after halfn hour when we went to grab our food they said you didn't ordered and their staff was very rude
I don't ever eat Indian Food but tonight we wanted to have some. We used Door dash. It was delicious. Made our night. Will order again from you. Just glad your close by, we can order anytime now and pick up.
I Tried their samosa 3 times first time I thought it’s May be only today and I tried twice after that I don’t know why their samosa’s smells like they fried in very bad oil may be they are reusing same oil every time.
Very rude lady at front counter. Ask for half pound jalebi and she said we dont do half pound. You can take one pound. We are going to this location from last one year. Sometimes we bought 4 piece jalebi or half pound. But today she said no. Just want to make more money by selling one pound. Not going there.
It’s been a long time since we ate an Indian meal. We scoured reviews from the Indian restaurants near us and decided on Sukhi Da Dhaba, as the reviews have been very good over the years. We dined in here a couple years back and the service and food were great. This time we ordered takeout and the entire meal was very memorable. I was greeted by a friendly man who promptly returned with my order, nicely packaged and ready 25 minutes after having placed the order, which was exactly how long I was told the order would take to prepare. Our main dishes included Chicken Tikka Masala, Beef Korma and Lamb curry. All three dishes had amazing flavours. We also ordered coconut rice, all three types of samosas and garlic naan. The rice was perfect: light, fluffy and tasty. The samosas were incredible. The meal was well enjoyed and I’m really impressed with the high degree of consistency this establishment portrays. I foresee frequent visits to Sukhi Da Dhaba in our future and I’m already looking forward to our next dining experience with them.
I have ordered from this place multiple times and have always been impressed. The food tastes amazing, and their butter chicken is my personal favorite. Their staff is great and helpful, I would recommend this place to everyone.
Best place to eat in Calgary! Look no further for any Indian dishes, sweets, etc. I have fallen in love with this place and would recommend it to everyone. The prices are very fair, great portions and a very welcoming staff. Food is fresh and tastes amazingly! Service is supreme! The restaurant is clean and well maintained with a very pleasant ambience. Keep it up! (:
I always have great service from them. Food is always HOT when it arrives and fresh. This is my favorite Indian place. I wish I could order more often from them.
Want to give them 0 star if it’s an option been there yesterday to buy some sweet paid $45 for 4 pound mix sweets she filled my box with besan burfi and dry rasgulla and gulab jabun. It’s worst items I ever eaten in my life. I put them in garbage need to complain food quality department. It’s smelled bad lady at front was very rude refused to give me my receipt will never visit again
We go to this place when we visit calgary. I am totally happy with the price, taste and quantity of food offerred. Totally delicious. I would definitely come back to allure the taste My favorite dish is saag and Aloo paratha here.
Poor hospitality. The person serving food seemed to be very arrogant. Also food wasn’t great. We ordered Karahi Paneer and it tasted like Shahi Paneer.
Excellent food. Especially the best choley bhaturey in the entire town. Contrary to negative comments I read, the people at the restaurant were very nice. The lady at the counter has a bit of issue with English but she tries to speak and everyone should encourage her more.
Another highlight in the food are the paranthas. (All varieties are excellent). The speciality of the paranthas are all are prepared in authentic punjabi style and on tava. This is a hidden gem
Catered from here for a work event. The lady at the front was friendly and accommodating of how I needed the samosas to be packaged. Ordered from here instead of the many other places because of their reliability and cleanliness.
Would give lower if I could. Normal wait for pranthas, something that should be taking 10-15 minutes is a normal 45 minutes. No one is interested in taking an order if you go for sit down, and the staff looked as if you coming in for a sit down was more of an inconvenience rather than good for business. I would avoid eating here at all costs.
Very poor service and we ordered food by call and after halfn hour when we went to grab our food they said you didn't ordered and their attitude was bad.
Worse customer service ever seen. I great the lady first in our Punjabi ritual but she doesn’t even reply even it was her part of job to great every customer. She speaks in such a worse manner to me when I order. She thinks that she is perfect in English but she’s not. While I was there she speaks with this manner to other customers too. I was preferring them for 3 years because they where in our community plaza but not going to visit again.
We visit this place recently and I am surprised to see the negative view, food was great and the hospitality too. The “Lady” at the front desk is not rude. Shes just a simple and humble person. We had an awesome experience with family. Thanks
Visited this place for a large family dinner and the food was great! We all really enjoyed the various dishes we ordered - you really can’t go wrong with what you order.
Nice clean restaurant. Service is average as server never visited us once to ask how things were or if we would like anything else. Also when you have a "wait to be seated" you walk your customer to the table. NOT point them to it. Ordered cholley bhatura and paneer pakora, both were average. Cholley portion was good.
Food was okay but the staff at front desk had zero customer service skills. Extremely poor treatment of customers. Zero etiquettes. Highly disappointed with customer service.
If they want to be in business then the owner of the restaurant should teach some customer service to his staff.
Never going back again. Zero stars for customer service
Not really familiar with the area, just stopped in to get a variety of barfee. Great little shop, didn't sit and eat. Great customer service. Suggestion would be to display in glass enclosed the fresh Julibee, they will dry out slower.
