Heard lots about the store, went there yesterday at 7: 49. The guy at the cashier told me in a strange way that they are already closed. I asked him what time do u close he said 8. I am like I have 11 minutes. He said we don’t sell you anything now. Management has to train your employees a bit better. Never step a foot there.

The chicken and cheese pita is a classic. Get 1 of them and a different one as well because the food is so good you'll be back again and again. I'd say I've been going for close to 15 years. It is excellent.

There delivery driver tried to pass me on a left turning lane and honked at me when I had to get in that lane to turn. After tailgating me from castledowns all the way to 97 st. If this is how you represent your business in a company vehicle good luck.

Excellent! Great fresh Breads, Baked Goods, and delicious shawarma wrap! All very tasty, yet well priced.

This little neighbourhood pita bakery sells a variety of bakery items. My favourite is the spinach and cheese pie folded. Unfortunately, there are many different cooks and this seems to spoil the result. I wish they would bring back he older lady who used to cook there as she was an excellent cook. As of late, the quality of the spinach pies has been very inconsistent. I'm hoping they will bring back a good cook and improve consistency. Definitely worth a try.

I got the chicken shawarma and it was delicious. Everyone working there was super nice, very welcoming place.

20 years ago, I ventured into my favourite pita bakery in Edmonton. I have tried many a pita since, but Sunbake continues to stand out. Plus, best akawi, sausage, and spinach fatayer in the city. Perfect picnic food!

If I could give 0 star, I would do that.extremely low quality pita. The place has extremely low hygiene. Right after consuming the food, we suffered from diarrheic symptoms. The owners (could be the managers, two tall men one with beard and the other bald) are super bad tempered and I could see the the side of prep counter where one of them was making the orders with bared hands (without gloves). The managers were treating the staff extremely rude (using F word) and I felt uncomfortable. Will never go back.

I love Sunbake Pita bakery. We stopped in today to pick up some lunch. Everything was wonderful except there were no masks, sadly. I chose to take my business elsewhere for now.

Haven't been here for over a year; but was really craving the chicken shawarma wrapped in saj and the chicken veggie melt today. Let me tell you, nothing has changed. In fact, I think the chicken shawarma is even better than before.to date it's the best I've had in town. Love this place.so happy a friend brought me here many years ago. I will be back soon.

This is a great bakery! It's the only place we buy garlic dip and pita. Their home-made pastries, sweet and savoury, are really good too. We stop everytime we are in the area.

Busy place! 20 years of serving the community is something to be proud of! My client loves the food here, would recommend. Management is good with customer satisfaction, even after miscommunication on pick up procedure. They prepare their hot meals fresh and take a moment to make, wait patiently (or order ahead!)

I lived in Ottawa for a few years and let me tell you Ottawa has shawarma places in almost every corner of the city. Ottawa has one of the largest Lebanese population in the world outside of Lebanon. They do shawarma right in Ottawa. I had to move to Calgary and then Edmonton and I've searched and searched for over 6 years for something remotely close to what Shawarma Palace and Shawarma King offered in Ottawa. I found nothing but just okay chicken shawarmas. I've tried countless of places! This day finally arrived and I can't contain my excitement! I didn't have high hopes because of the many times I was let down in the past. But their chicken shawarma is the real deal! If you want something like the best shawarma places in Ottawa have to offer, try this place! I prefer Lebanese shawarmas to other types of shawarmas and they have the right mix of spices. Their garlic sauce (toum) is strong just like the ones in Ottawa. There are a few things that differ because this bakery does not offer shawarma plates and garlic potatoes but the taste of the chicken and the sauce and the spices are just ***chef's kiss***

Skip all the other sandwiches, burgers, etc. This is absolutely one the best things $10 can buy. Their large shawarma is about 12 inches long. I was shocked when I got it. It was so delicious though that I finished it all. The way they wrapped it was different than most places I've tried. They wrapped it thin enough so that nothing falls out and you don't make a lot of mess. They don't skimp on the chicken either. What a discovery today!

I made a huge mistake and I hesitated. I've been meaning to try this place for a year now. I was just let down by so many other places that I was hesitant to try this. Look no further; this is the real deal!

Absolutely love this place! The baked pitas are undoubtedly the highlight, but most people don’t know about their selection of roasted nuts that are amazing! Always look forward to getting a spinach & chicken pie with a bonjus! And the fatayer and lahm sfiha are always hot and ready to go! The staff are hard working, and the owners are always welcoming! Mashallah!

They're great people and have great food. This is the single best shawarma in the city by far. Jihad and the guys are great welcoming people and have a unique ability to remember their regulars. Which is doubly impressive because I imagine there are thousands of them.

Unequivocally without a shadow of a doubt this is the best Lebanese bakery in Edmonton and I should know because I am Lebanese and I have lived here my entire life they have the best bread the best everything funk the rest this place is zbest

I eat here fairly regularly and it's typically great but tonight was not the smoothest order ever.
I had to wait about 25 minutes for food but I'm going to chalk it up to covid changing everything, hopefully next time goes better.

Went here to get 3 shawarma, meat pies and hummus. The manager was rude and I felt uncomfortable. Been going here for some years now. Customer service has definitely declined and the shawarma's were not as good as they normally are. How did it go from yummy to crummy so fast?

Wonderful takeout food and fresh bread. This is a to-go place weekly. The owner and staff are friendly, polite and helpful.

Delicious shawarma and fatayers. Probably the best in town! Gentleman working on the floor is also very friendly and brought the food out to my vehicle to avoid too many customers hanging out inside the store while waiting for their order. This place is a new favorite of mine for sure!

Very EXPENSIVE. Very sad to see how a small chunk of dough with 10grams of cheese can cost $6. You should be ashamed of yourself.

Shawarma is delicious and the manakeesh is so tasty.come in and pick up a pack of fresh pitas and haloumi for later and get the takeaway for now! And then hop a few doors down to Cedar Sweets for dessert. This is a must try, Edmonton institution.

Great unassuming spot. Chicken Shawarma is amazing, garlic sauce is potent but delicious. Many other items on menu look great, I'll be back to try more. Oh, they also sell so much Pita, so fresh!
