Un lodge bien placé, des chambres confortables, un service attentionné, le départ de belles randonnées estivales!

Loved this place. It is a little different, but if you are ok with a couple of quirks, it will pay off. This place is not close to town. The process to get to banff takes about 45 minutes. You park down the hill from the hotel. Getting from the parking lot to the hotel requires a shuttle (about a 8min ride once available) or the gondola (10min ride available from 0800am to 4pm) this can be a bit inconvenient for food shopping and hiking not located on the premises. Anything after 11pm or before 0800 needs to be reserved on their website. We found some times that we wanted were not available and had to spend some chunks of time waiting for shuttle rides back to our room late at night. However, the accommodations were wonderful. The staff was very helpful and courteous. The drivers gathered your luggage and delivered it to your room they had good tips on restaraunts and hikes. The gondola ride was very charming and allowed for a comical debriefing of the days events. The hiking at the hotel was augmented with a chairlift, and the surrounding areas were beautiful. I would definitely come back!

By far one of the worst experiences renting a hotel at this location. Saunas are in the change rooms so you can’t use the sauna with your partner. It’s light out until 11pm in the mountains and everything closes earley restaurants and hot tub close before 10pm. They put you at the top of a mountain with not even a vending machine for food or drinks. Arrived the first night past 7pm and we could not even get a can of 7-up or a bottle of orange juice for our room. Make sure you’re prepared with your own food and ice cause no fridges in the rooms and if you want something as simple as a bag of chips or Pepsi it’s a 1.5hr round trip to Banff. You must book a shuttle down the mountain then drive to Banff then book a shuttle back up to the hotel all for a simple drink or snack. You would think at the price of the rooms they would at least have the vending machine in working order. This is my second worst hotel experience they should maybe take notes from the westin inn in Calgary on how to accommodate their guest.

The hotel staff were nice. The hotel itself was pretty good considering the price. I wish they provided Irons and ironing boards. I know it’s North America and the majority show up in their Hobo Clothes but some of us still wear tailored clothing. Pay attention that even on the very top of the mountain you can’t smoke which is lame. Definitely recommend the restaurant upstairs from the lobby. Chef Jeff is an amazing cook a lovey gentleman (he said hi to us). He makes superb quality gourmet foods I really recommend everyone to dine in the restaurant and taste chef Jeff’s cooking.

Location, location, location. This hotel at the top of the gondola is the ideal jumping off point for many beautiful hikes! We got in at 4 pm and immediately took the chairlift to the Standish viewing deck and then hiked the gorgeous trail around the rock isle lake. For the first several miles we saw no one at all! The next day we went in the morning to grizzly lake and there were many other tourists until we took the twin cairns trail and then we’re on our own again. Trails provide a number of easy to moderate hikes. If you want clean air and beautiful trails but don’t need posh environs, this is the place! Chairlift starts at 7 am so expect noise then. Mattresses are not great on the not-redone part of the hotel. However prices were incredibly reasonable and premium rooms are available. Would definitely come back!

We arrived yesterday to a gorgeous room with the best views. We ordered room service from the restaurant “Chimney Corner and we had a miscommunication. They went above and beyond to correct it and the meal was amazing. (Also had a nice kids menu and GF options.) Enjoyed the giant hot tub and dry sauna. Slept to the noise of a waterfall, woke to sunny Mountain View’s. Only bad thing I can say is we just booked two nights. Five stars for the service/employees and the views. Room was nice/clean, loved the views, fireplace, and balcony. Was worried about my kids on a sofa bed but the hotel made it up nice and the kids slept comfy. We asked for extra pillows and bam they gave us a bunch, so nice! We would all 100% recommend this place!

Absolutely amazing! Friendly staff, check-in was very easy. Waterfall room was very nice to go to sleep in, with a beautiful view.

We always have such an incredible time here! Solid good options, restrooms, bar, snacks and gift store. A few different options depending on what you want to spend for food, and all reasonable and tasty!

On-point rating 7,6

We stayed for two nights, the best of this hotel is the hot-tub, location and waitress jayde.

The whole resort (also ski rental, trappers, gondola and goats eye snackbar) is almost all owned private, The lack of competition can be noticed, high prices and no need to excel in service or quality of food and beverages (even though prices are extra ordinary) are not comparable to European ski resort standards.

The breakfast buffet not included is 33 pp, you can also choose from some a la carte options. My personal opinion is with an overnight rare of 500 cad you can expect a breakfast included.

Benefits are you ski in and out the hotel and end of day you can directly dive into the hot-tub and or sauna

Things to improve:
- lower prices and include breakfast
- allow competition in hospitality
- train waiters

Between the views, the hot tub, s'mores by the fire and the food, the lodge is a great addition to the skiing experience.

Food and stay is good but extremely overpriced. I've been eating at this place for over 20yrs and the quality, service have gone down.

Rating based on the service/quality of the restaurant at the lodge which on days other than Friday you are pretty much restricted to. The restaurant was serving food on unwashed serving dishes and didn't seem to care that it was doing so. We were shocked with this careless service offering especially considering the price and expected quality which has stained an otherwise good experience on the ski hill.

Amazing to stay in a hotel at the top of a mountain. Incredible sunrise and sunset AND we saw the northern lights! Apparently quite common in the clear air so high up that mountain in Alberta, so you might get lucky too.

Our room was comfortable and spacious for a couple (our neighbours were in the same room with 2 kids - it was a bit small for them after a couple of days, with limited storage), with a cosy fireplace.

Hotel is very convenient for getting out on the slopes early, or popping back during a day's skiing. If you're planning to stay a few days beware that while there's some choice for dining options (an evening restaurant and the Trappers pub, plus a few extra daytime options) they are all fairly expensive and there's no cooking facilities or shop onsite - nearest shop would be a 20min journey down the gondola + 15 mins drive to Banff. Note the gondola only runs approx 8am-5.30pm so don't plan to meet friends in Banff or elsewhere outside those times.

Nice hot tub and sauna.

Great spot to stay if you are staying but be careful of using their transport system for your skis and luggage.i spoke to the hotel for more than 15 mins before I decided to give them my stuff to bring down as we were told that they should be down likely by 9am if we dropped off by 8am vs 2hr std time. Gave them at 8am and luggages got down here by 9am but skis didn’t get there until close to 10am.i had told them we had a flight to catch and need to leave by 11: 30am.they said it would be no problems - well as we waited the ski were not even brought to gondola until i complained again. Had i known we would have brought our stuff ourselves to gondola. Very poor service.

I am staying at this hotel now, this is my 3rd visit including last year amid COVID 19, this time is quite disappointing about their service. Today is 27 Feb I just go to the hot tub at 345pm and noticed there's no clean towel. I told the front desk and the lady said she would arrange new towels. I left the hot tub at 430pm and I still didn't see replenished towels. I understand hiring staff is difficult, but it shouldn't be more challenging than last year at the peak of COVID.

Resort: we couldn't ask for anything more! Our room was nice, staff were great, ski storage was super easy to access, luggage and equipment handling was perfect. The humidifier was above and beyond appreciated. It does not seem the resort is organized based on the website and phone calls made prior, however everything was easy, flowed well and stress-free!

Skiing: of course our weather conditions were near perfect with great weather and fresh powder daily. Trails were well marked, family friendly and adventurous. There are plenty of trails for all skill levels.

Location: perfect! Several transportation options and easy to find. Keep an eye on the time as you will need gondola access.

Customer service: Simone at the base check-in for the Sunshine mountain and resort was amazing with top-notch customer service and answered all our questions, even ones we didn't know we had. She helped us at check-in and check-out by explaining everything until we understood, including explaining the final bill. Jordan at the Chimney Corner restaurant was amazing! His customer service was perfect and he treated us like royalty. Best employee we had encountered on the whole trip!

They expect 15% or more for tip its the lowest option. Pretty sure theres not even a choice to not tip.on every single transaction you make in all of banff and area

Beautiful hotel with great staff. It was nice to stay the night, drink all night at Trappers and snowboard in the morning. My only complaint is that it is quite pricey, ended up almost $600 for the night. It's not bad if you are splitting the room with a few friends

Nice lodge. Wish they had last minute deals when there is so many vacant rooms, especially for pass holders or locals.
