Sunwapta Falls

A beautiful view of the fall is achieved by walking a trail that is hard for older people.

Beautiful, mostly frozen waterfall. The parks service came in and cleared fallen trees and also cleared the trail down to the falls themselves. Very stunning little falls!

Was a short walk out to the bridge. There is a hiking trail that goes much further but I wasn't dressed for that.

We stopped at Sunwapta Falls driving back home in Calgary after an overnight stay in Jasper. First thing, the toilet was impressively impeccable! Being there after a recent snowfall turned the falls into beautiful ice sculptures that made our short stop there a memorable one

Very pretty frozen. Hike on to Big Bend was nice in the snow but we didn’t get all the way as we found some bear tracks

Easy to get to because it’s just off the Icefields Parkway drive. There are many people but they come and go quickly because this is such a short stop.

They're big, they're loud, they're waterfalls! And do go chasing this one. Another don't miss sight off the Icefields Parkway. Absolutely stunning in Fall, I can't imagine what they're like in Spring/Summer when the river is fuller and the falls are more fierce!

L'accès aux chutes est facile, à peine quelques minutes de marche du stationnement. Un classique!

Chutes d’eau vraiment très jolies. Une superbe il pour faire de très belles photos. A ne pas oublier dans votre itinéraires des rocheuses Canadiennes. La route de Banff à Jasper regorges de merveilles semblables, vraiment incroyable. Je vous conseil entre 5 et 8 jours pour parcourir l’ensemble des rocheuses de Banff à Jasper.

Amazing view and nice location. It is near to the car parking lot, don’t have long trail. Hardly 10 mins walk to the fall from parking lot

Views were good. This is one of the areas that felt a bit like a zoo with barriers and lots of people. Worth a stop but not if you have a tight schedule

Beautiful, in my opinion it is not as impressive as wapta falls and Athabasca falls. But still worth a stop when driving the icefields parkway.

I am mobility challenged, so generally waterfalls are inaccessible to me anymore, but this place is an easy wall to see both the upper and lower falls. Obviously the more complex, strenuous hike will get you the better views, but even the easy wall gets you some great pictures!

One of the best view of falls. Amazing color of water. Must visit place while on the way to Jasper.

Excellent site with 2 water falls. I liver the liwer fall as it was amazing with huge water drop. Also convenient for those who want to enjoy the view with a short walk distance. On the road 93 from banf to Jasper (about 30 km a south of Jasper. I would strongly recommend that a traveller from Banff to Jasper to stay a night at nearby Sunwapta Rocky Mountain Lidge as it is wonderful place as well
