Super 8 by Wyndham Hinton

If you are visiting Jasper with a car, and do not care to get up earlier and drive a little more (1h from Jasper), it is a good deal:
- better (very good beds) and cheaper room, - swimming pool open until 10pm (appreciable after a hiking day)
- local restaurant of the town 5mn by drive
- local mountain brewery at 30’ (on the road from Jasper)
- breakfast included, simple but make the job
- friendly / helpful staff

One can give it a go for sure but it is an expensive one particularly with what they offer.

Quiet place, clean rooms, kind and elegant staff. The breakfast was awesome. I had so much fun

Sheets had many spots, were rumpled and looked used and not cleaned after. Wasnt cheap either (200+ $ for one room).

Clean, free breakfast. Lots of area to walk the dog. Restaurants close by and do dine in, take out and delivery. Will stay again. Have a pool will try next time

We had such a good time at this place. The staff is so friendly. The rooms were nice and clean. Hinton itself is such a beautiful town

It was a long journey after driving and on the road for 10 hours. I arrived in Hinton, looking for accommodations. I called Super 8 by Wyndham. Reception desk employee was very accommodating. My room was exceptional, very clean. I had a great sleep and well refreshed in the morning. I highly recommend Super 8 Wyndham to any one travelling through Hinton Alberta. Thank you to the Staff for their reception and kindness.

Limited breakfast option though it’s reasonable. Good for families.

Staff was very friendly. Ms Khushi was very polite when we checked in. Rooms were super clean and the staff was very helpful.

Bathrooms weee clean. Swimming pool was a blessing as the kids enjoyed thoroughly.

Breakfast was excellent and was fresh. Lots of choices. We loved the Vegan Muffin.

We definitely recommend this to everyone.

Please do not waste your money, these rooms do not have a thermostat. You will never achieve a comfortable temperature. They don't spend money to upgrade this place, it is run down. Pay a little more and stay somewhere nice. I wish we knew before we booked 4 nights with them.to top it all off they tried to overcharge us for our stay and I had to review the invoice and correct them to get charged the right amount.

I was able to walk in and get a room last second with no problem. Very nice room spotless and smells good, and the air conditioner works fantastic. The gentlemen at the desk are very nice and friendly. No hassles and a great room! Thank you

This was my second stay at this Super 8 in Hinton in 2 years. Both times the rooms were clean and comfortable. Each time we were greeted by the most kind and friendly man. Breakfast was good and we do appreciated the connivence. The only improvement would be the addition of an extra towel in the bathroom (4 big ones instead of 3) and heavier quilts on beds. I know that would be an expensive upgrade but thought I’d toss that eventual improvement suggestion out there. We will definitely stay again when in the area.

Staying experience was excellent. Great service starting from the reception to the leaving room. Morning breakfast was great great. All the staff members were very friendly and cooperative. Overall recommended to stay here for all times. Thank you Super 8, see you again in the near future.

Hotel nicely located between the mountains in a quite place outside the Hinton city but still close to all the restaurants and amenities. The staff was super friendly and they had a good free breakfast and a nice pool too as the kids took a great advantage of this. Thanks to the manager Mr. Raj for helping us on planning our two days at Jasper and tipping us how to save some money on the white water rafting that we did. Overall a great experience!

We stayed for 3 nights, Hotel Service was great! Rooms kept clean and mended each day. Breakfast was pretty good too. Manager Raj was very Gentle and takes care of the Guests as they arrive.

Totally Recommended!

Found a long hair under my pillow and two small red (dried blood) spots on the cover sheet of which I also took photos. Can't imagine not changing sheets, which even worse during Covid. I made sure to wash all my travel clothes after in case there were bed bugs. Told the front desk employee, they kept saying 'not to worry' and he'll let the manager know. He said they don't have bed bugs because of the type of sheet covers they use. That's a red herring since the cover didn't seal the mattress and they can also be found hiding in wood furniture. No apologies or follow up from them.

Stayed here for a night with the girlfriend as we were passing through. Not a bad place at all, especially for the price. Good of you just need somewhere to sleep and feel safe.

Good clean rooms, easy to deal with staff. Pretty expensive for a pet charge. $21 was what I paid, pet owners should maybe shop around.

Had a really nice and comfortable one night stay. Staff was welcoming. Big spacious rooms with comfy beds. I would recommend it to others as well.

Room and service was fine. Just a lot of opening and shutting of doors and kids running up and down hall made it hard to sleep. Was surprised the pool was open.

The first night was alright, but the 2nd night we stayed they had the waterline break and water leaked into our room. First the fire alarm went off at 11: 30pm, we had to get dressed and go outside and wait in our vehicle for the fire trucks to leave and make sure we were safe to enter, meanwhile as this was happening the waterline broke and water was rushing into our room. We informed the front desk agent about the issue and we were moved to a different room. Unfortunately it was no longer the same room type we had initially booked, and were informed we would be given a free night's stay for the inconvenience. We were also given 3 different stories about what had happened with the water. First it was someone had smoked in the room upstairs and the water was from the fire suppression, then it was the cigarette smoke from someone smoking outside that set it off, then finally the alarm went off because of the waterline break. We didnt know what to believe. Anyways we decided to stay in the room because we figured a free night stay was acceptable. However come check out time this was not the case, our rate was still the same for 2 nights stay and I asked about the free night, they said the best they could do was 30 dollars off. There was no manager available at the time so I had no choice. But when I got the receipt he only gave me 20 dollar discount. Unacceptable. I made sure to call the hotel on Tuesday when the manager was in and he was unforgiving of the situation as well and at best offered me 50% off the 2nd night. I Told him this was poor customer service, as I myself work for a Super 8 Wyndham hotel, and our hotel would have given a free night over something like this, no question about it. Then he proceeded to try and tell me the tone of my voice was an issue, I told him of course, im upset because you will not help me with this situation, and im obviously angry. I would give them 0 stars if I could, I will never return to this hotel if I stay in Hinton again, Ive also attached the videos and photos as proof.so Warning to any who stay here, if anything were to happen like this, or any other major issue, you will not be compensated for it. It would be better if you chose another hotel to stay at instead! We should have done that.

We stopped to Hinton for one night stay. We had a great time staying as a family we love the hotel room it was clean and neat. Washroom is clean good as new. Heater works well, since the weather is starting to cold. Price is very affordable. Best for family and the restaurants are just around nearby and some basic needs that we need like Walmart is near too. Definitely recommend it.

We stayed for 2 nights. Fabulous location close proximity to numerous services and Jasper. Spacious room, comfortable beds, easy check in and out. Very friendly and helpful staff. Quality and nice breakfast. Unable to utilize swimming pool.

Not the greatest hotel I've ever stayed at. The room we stayed in must have been a smoking suite at some point as the bathroom had old nicotine stains on the upper wall.
Continental breakfast was all previously frozen items (exportation wasn't high).

Jainil is a very helpful guest services person to speak with. I understood everything. He was very clear and to the point. I appreciated his time and helping me with a booking. Hope you can speak with him. Very, very friendly peronal.

Spent 2 nights here. Rooms were comfortable. Best part is on site coin laundry. Pool was open and looked clean but only 10 people at a time so we did not use it. Had breakfast available in the morning from 5: 30-9: 30.

Toilets didnt flush, rooms were dirty, there we bugs. Breakfast was cold. Pool was closed. Asked about extra blankets because we were cold, they said that wasn't a service they provided.

Was a nice stay but room was a bit dirty. Make up on the wall in bathroom. Tub was dirty, mirror had small streaks. The toilet under the rim needs a good scrubbing. I had a bath and found dirt on the inside of tub.

They double charged for the room. Claimed they had returned the deposit. Even though bank statements SHOW they took the money out of my account and the deposit wasn’t returned. So even with banking information to PROVE they stole the money and never returned it. They still refuse to admit they were at fault. With proof.

This is the place! Amazingly kind, they let us check-out "whenever we want" and gave us extra water bottles.
We haven't used/asked about them, but there are regular 110V outlets outside the rooms, so if you drive an EV you will probably have the chance to charge it:)

Its been amazing here at the Super 8 Hinton. Even during this covid the staff are extremely professional and great to talk to. The beds are very comfortable and everything is so clean. Love this place and will probably come back in time.

Pet friendly and super people friendly but not a clean place. If you are just crashing for the night and moving along in the am meh.
