I worked with all sales team, including the delivery drivers at the back, such lovely staff and jovial. The gentleman was very knowledgeable, I went in to buy a bunk bed for my son and the ladies were very thorough and helpful. Good quality as well, highly recommended!

Bought a loveseat and sofa combo in September of 22 and after half a year the springs are already shot. Seats completely sag in to where you can feel the frame in spots through the cushions. Nothing should wear out that fast, bought extended coverage but they won’t help. Have tried to start a claim through the store also but they don’t reply. Also there’s absolutely no evidence of tags on these items. Don’t think that’s right to sell items with no manufacturer tags.

Lving in Fort McMurray we are very limited on furniture options. I just bought my first home & was determined to find my dream living-room sectional. Lin answered all my questions, she was so helpful. I highly recommend Surplus Furniture and make sure to ask for Lin.

Really pleased with my purchase this week! I had originally gone to the store, purchased a sectional and arranged delivery (their 3rd party delivery people were awesome!) Upon the furniture arriving, I discovered it just would not fit in the elevator, only missing by 2 inches - I had it returned with no issues and went back the next day and decided on another sectional which worked out wonderfully and fit my space the way I hoped.

Great prices, the piece works well in my home and I will be going there first the next time I want to buy furnishings for my home! Really nice staff and the prices cannot be beat!

Great, knowledgeable employees who work with you to get you the furniture you deserve. My house looks amazing thanks to Lynn and the wonderful people at Surplus. When they say act now, do it, because what you want won't be there tomorrow. Highly recommended. They've got whatever you need at every price point.

Pushy saleswomen make it unbearable. I came in with my husband and am instantly told to sit on a couch when we havent even looked at one. Walked in and walked right out because of your terrible sales reps ‍️

Buyer beware!
Bought a couch which had 2 reclining seats, after 1 month both reclining feet part w
Stopped working and won't lock in, middle armrest is broken now also broken.
Was told no warranties.

This place is shady. 800$ down the drain.

They charge a lot for delivery too.

Great prices, can't be beat. Don't over pay at other larger furniture chains. Surplus furniture is a wholesale price without the wholesale name. Great lay away plan and great financial options! If you are looking for good quality without breaking the bank, Look No Further!

Not the greatest experience. Do not agree to the financing option if you dont want a credit check. They told me it would be a soft credit check and it was not!

We just came to the store looking for the Quine size bed and when we were checking one, we saw the broken railing. The store manager was so rude blaming us that it was ours fault and then he asked us to leave that bed if we don’t want it. Worse customer service ever

First time in along time a salesman has gone above and beyond and made my shopping trip worth it. I had gone to 3 other places and the sales person wouldn’t even leave the counter and offer help. I highly recommend this place

Had some nice thing. Staff were there and willing to help. Bought a table and chairs there about a year ago first one had to be sent back. And now not quite a year later a piece broke off one of the chairs. Haven't had the chance yet to see if they will fix it.

These guys sell the worst furniture store ever! My wife and I bought a huge sectional couch as wedding gift that deformed in a month and is so so so uncomfy now and we even bought the 100 dollar coverage and they said they wouldn't cover it cause it didn't have tears or rips or cuts in it. Plus we even bought a coffee table that fell apart and broke in a week. I go to look how it's made and all they used was staples to make it and glued the" Marble" slab on please save your money and dont shop here

Had the worst experience ever with Surplus Furniture today. The employee's response to my phone was too rude. He literally said " I have another customer now to talk to" so between the lines. "you are not a worthy customer"!
I bought a box spring that did not fit into my stairs to get it to my bedroom. It is in its original package and never been used. They refused to return it back! So take my advice, buy your stuff from anywhere except Surplus Furniture. My experience was a sad one.

The people who work there are shady and failed to inform me that my order was a final sale simply due to the fact that I paid in full (they said I would have been eligible for a refund only if I did layaway and it wasn't fully paid for). When I told my friends about the situation, they said that I should have never went here because this place has a reputation for scamming their customers and delivering furniture that was different than what they ordered in store. I will NEVER spend a single dime in this store again

Wow.reading these reviews I'm shocked to see so many people were victims of the mattress scam. I too had been delivered a mattress that was different than what I bought in store. These guys just want your money and they'll do anything to get it. Do not give it to them. Once you do, you're on your own. If you've been scammed, contact the BBB or consumer protection as these guys should be shut down for their underhanded business practices. Not fair to the consumer at all. They should be sued for false and misleading advertising.

They didn't have much on the floor, and surprisingly weren't that great of salesman, not very helpful, forgot we were waiting for a price, looked very impatient while we were discussing which items we wanted, I was missing 4 washers in my packaging and 2 bolts for my bed frame. Some things were very affordable but some items were over priced. I went to the brick all day, so I seen all the items that were priced differently.

Not very much to choose from but I kind of like some beds and Frames I seen other than that a lot of stuff I would buy for my house had I not already own it.

Zero stars. When I bought a couch at this store, I was told it was already on its way to the store. Then I get a call weeks later saying, it wasn’t and it was in fact not in stock. So the salesman lied to me to make a sale (no shock there) so they offered me a different couch at a $150 lower price. I accepted because I’m a reasonable person who doesn’t like to make trouble.
That’s over.
Now I’m getting letters, with varying amounts of my credit which they are slowly attempting to rescinded. The amount is different on every letter and doesn’t always go down once it went up so either someone doesn’t know how to use a calculator or this letter is just their way of trying to get me in there to spend the res of my credit, which I would have done had I a need for anything. They have a living room set, bedroom set, kitchen set, mattresses, TV stands, lamps, end table ALL of which I bought. So what else is there? I went through their entire stock and there was one item left that I need. I called this place today to ask for my money back. I don’t need any new furniture. The store managers laughs at me and says “You don’t need anything? ” Like this is funny? Or somehow my fault? That’s is very unprofessional. I deal with angry people every day and I have never laughed at someone in 11 years. I said I want my money back. He says “Well that’s not how it works”. I’m sorry that’s your explanation? How about you learn a little something about customer service, and tell me all about your store policy that I signed or was provided a copy of or maybe even had mentioned to me while I was at the store? Nope, none of the above. When I was offered the credit, I ASKED, is there going to be an expiry date? The salesman said “No ma’am, no expiry, spend it anytime” That’s is the ONLY reason I agreed to it. So I got the second choice couch and now I’m out $150. Yeah I know, $150 isn’t going to break me sure, but it’s MY hard earned money and they just took it. This is not fair. I know, life’s not fair, I can hear all your comments already. I feel like I’ve been robbed. Not only that, no one will give me a reasonable response. When I asked the manager for his name he said “I don’t have to tell you my name” in anger I said “I should get a lawyer! ” To which he laughed again and said “You’re not going to get a lawyer to get back $150” I am so angry. Obviously, I’m not an idiot I’m not going to do that but the point is that I am powerless! You took money out of my pocket and my hands are tied.

Great prices. Osvaldo was very helpful and patient when it came to give me time to choose what I really wanted. Awesome guy!
