Sushi Ichiban

At under 10 pre tax, the food you can get for lunch special is really filling. It might not be the best sushi in town but nothing tastes off. For the rolls, there was a generous amount of wasabi and ginger on the side as well. The items came quite slow though.
The restaurant is spacious and every table has its own private space, which is nice.

We have been to Sushi Ichiban for many years. GREAT sushi and Japanese cuisine. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Our favorite lace to get suchi. Always delicious, and the presentations of the dishes are enticing. Highly recommended if you are looking for a great sushi experience.

Have been coming here since I was young and I am never disappointed. The lunch special is an amazing price for delicious food. Probably the best rice I've ever eaten is from here. 100% recommend

Speedy service, excellent decour, and truly amazing food. This place is always such a treat. Yes, it's a bit dated, and yes, the exterior isn't in the best shape, but it's clear that the chefs care a lot about what goes into a plate. I've never been disappointed by this place. I'm no sushi connoisseur, but each piece I've had from Ichiban has been delectable.

Order the tempura asparagus. It's fantastic. You won't regret it. So good.

If you live in the area, it's worth checking this place out! If you don't like sushi but still want something different, they've got you covered with plenty of non-sushi options. I really can't recommend this place enough.

Enjoyable spot for sushi and dim sum. I like to come here at least once a month. Value is pretty decent, and the interior is cozy. It's not world beating by any means but it's convenient, quick, and tasty.

Don't listen to the people upset about the looks. The food here is epic. The staff are great. The inside is nicer than the outside. If you like good sushi at good prices you found it. If you want overpriced sushi that tastes like cardboard, go to the place with the sparkling bathrooms.

Our family enjoyed late lunch here. We were all satisfied with the meal. The sushi rolls are extremely good. The food quality is better than expected. The waitress there is nice and friendly. She talked to us in Cantonese.

We've tried dozens different sushi restaurants, and Sushi Ichiban is our #1 place to go to. Get their "Love Boat" and you probably will come back to this place again.

The food here is always good but the service is not that great. I just finished eating here and but I had to wait almost 10minutes to get seated. There was only one customer at the time and there was no bell and no employee at the front to assist me. I had to call the restaurant number to have an employee go to the front and notice me. Once the food started to arrive I finished all my water and it was not refilled at all throughout my dining experience. When I paid I gave 10% tip because I did not like the service to give 15%, which is usually the ideal amount for tip. I instantly saw a change in attitude when I was leaving, which is probably due to the tip.

The food and the service were good but this restaurant is dirty. It is in desperate need of a Reno. The women’s bathroom is disgusting and I will not be back. If the bathrooms are this bad what is the kitchen like?

The best sushi place that I’ve been to in Calgary. This is the closest taste I ever had to a true Asian cuisine. Not done in a hurry and actually prepared well. The staff are also nice.

The freshness of the food is absolutely the best quality of their dishes. Starting with a miso soup, going through some sushi pieces, stir-fry veggies and then a Japanese ice cream. I can't stop complimenting this gem of restaurant.

I was expecting to get a salad for combos side however rice came out when I ordered sushi and I never had that in my life.it was too heavy to have rice and rice.
