A very lovely restaurant that feels like home! The food was delicious and the owner is super friendly and incredibly hardworking- he runs everything all by himself! I was in Wainright for work and noticed right away the friendly and welcoming energy that everyone seems to have in town, just like at Sushi Monster. It's a satisfying meal to have at the end of a long day's work. 감사합니다 최사장님!

Amazing sushi prepared with love. I will definitely return to eat here, and would happily recommend this restaurant to anyone. Just don't let the appearance of the building deceive you.

Used to go there and was very impressed. Went there for a nice dinner last night and the prices were outrageous, food wasn’t good and portions extremely small and place was dirty. Service was terrible and we were called “bi*tches” by the owner when we went to pay because we gave minimal tip (due to above).

Since I can’t respond to what you said I will edit it here:

Interestingly, no where did I say the food was tasteless. I said it was not good, meaning it is not up to the standard it used to be, as you will see I also said that I used to visit regularly, so I have something to compare to. This is also reflected in others reviews as well, where some comment oh the mushiness of food as well as portion sizes.
I also commented on the cleanliness of the restaurant itself as well as the standard of service. It was hot and musty, we had to ask multiple times for certain items, and one of us even had to get up to get our own fork after waiting for 10 minutes. Typically something like this wouldn’t be a big deal, but with us being the only people in the restaurant until we got up to pay, it is a little ridiculous.
I can also see you respond rudely and incredibly unprofessionally to people on here when it isn’t a top notch, gold star review, instead of trying to mediate the situation. Not only did you grumble and angrily stomp away after calling us names, but now you are calling us liars. This does not reflect well on the business. Finally, you say you kept the receipt and will show it to us. I am so glad you have a standard of practice that allows you to “prove” customers wrong, unfortunately receipts do not reflect tips left on tables. We will not be back.

We had sushi there once or twice before and it was delicious and fresh.

Today we had some again and I can't say it was as good. It seemed there was an obnoxious sauce trying to cover the taste of less than fresh fish on the spicy tuna and apicy salmon. Perhaps just not a good choice of sauce. The color of the fish was odd too.

The overall taste of most of the sushi was far from what we had ordered in the past.

Sushi monster went from what I'd consider a top place in my book to a place I will not return because of what doesn't taste like fresh fish.

Overall we never had any other problems, but this is a deal breaker for me.

Food was top quality, He was very Speedy & Even though his waitress wasn't available today he did a wonderful job multitasking. We ordered alot of food & he was very quick to get it out. He had lots of take out customers. Will be back again when we are in wainwright!

The salmon smelled bad and was mushy.clearly very old. I called back to inform the owner and to tell him to throw it out and he yelled at me and told me not to complain. Do yourself a favour and just get your sushi at the grocery store instead of coming here.

The food here is always excellent and more sophisticated than you might expect for such a modest location. I highly recommend it.

Worst sushi ever! Seafood was watery and tasteless. Not to mention I ordered a combo, which was one roll and 3 VERY sad pieces of nigiri, one other roll and two drinks. I also ordered extra wasabi and soy sauce - didn't get either, I ordered diet cokes and got ginger ale! Not even close! All this for $44.00. Also got charged $5 for delivery when the place is literally across the street (bad weather, my bad for not picking up). And I got disconnected 3 times by the hotel automated phone system and then hung up twice once I did reach them. Again my bad, that should have been the end of my patience. Never ever again! I'd rather get sushi from a gas station. I suspect the owners write all the good reviews. YUK!

Nice little hidden gem I believe it's only sushi place there and the roles were professionally done tasted great presentation was awesome friendly staff I Definitely go there again
