Service was probably the worst part. Zero enthusiasm from the server. Monotone and very unexcitable personality. The side of mash potatoes pictured looks like a bun, it almost looks like it’s molded to look like a bun. Can honestly say I’ve never seen it look like that before. Not the greatest experience, feels like a country diner which I think maybe better. 100% instant mashed potatoes and probably the worst tasting ones in my opinion. Was like eating playdoh. The waitress asked for a tip when we were trying to pay. We used a gift card and she says please work, and says yay when it does…. A bit of professionalism lacking here. We’re not children.

Great chain, love Swiss chalet. This location is hit and miss, some staff are great others are terrible awkward and unhappy In their job then awkwardly ask you for a tip. I love Swiss chalet as it’s a family classic place but bad servers ruin the experience.

Our server Masa was fabulous. Our food was piping hot. We’ll definitely be back and hopefully have Masa as our server.

Our waitress Miranda was fantastic! They have three waitresses there that have worked at this Swiss Chalet forever and they are all so nice and competent…. A1 service.
We had chicken and ribs and they were delicious. I love the sauce too. I have been going to Swiss Chalet for over 50 years they chicken is still made the same way. This location (Signal Hill) is also always good. Excellent management!

This is the best Swiss Chalet in town. I am a long term customer (over 40 years) and the food quality here is awesome all the time and staff is amazing. I drive across town for this place and would recommend it to all lover's of the best chicken dinner.

Food was great, and so was our service. The restaurant was packed and she was slow to bring us a few things because of how busy she was serving so many tables.

Great place to eat for a reasonable price. I really like the changes in the new menu, the ribs, the beef, the chicken.
You can choose some really decently priced meals.
Update March 2023- I stopped in for a Harvey's burger min March and it was done properly and really tasted good! Freinly staff.
Then We stopped in with my son and his wife and 3 kids. Were seated quickly, they changed the channel so my grandson could watch the hockey game. Made his day!
It was really busy, but the food came quickly after we ordered, it was what we ordered, was warm/hot, TONS of gravy and special sauce which is what I like! I love their chicken and ribs! Yet I decided on the fish and chips for a change of pace and wasn't disappointed. The menu choices at Swiss Chalet are better than ever, and we had a good time! 6 of us cost about $92.00 but we had salads, coffee, drinks, double leg dinners and kids meal stuff, desert and took a small ton of food home as well! The waitress Elizabeth, was right on the bit. Very friendly and treated the kids really well. Kept up with our service all throughout! Thanks Elisabeth!

Haven’t been to a Swiss Chalet in a very, very long time but I had a gift card a client gave me. When I did go I had such great service. Everyone was so pleasant and the food came out really really quickly. The quality of the food is just as I remembered it. 4 stars because the menus on the table could have been cleaned

Usually always very happy with a meal at this location, but not so much tonight. Order was mixed up, fries were barely warm and it just was not what I've come to expect there. It was busy.

Had a great tasting meal and staff was exceptionally friendly! Great kids meal choices. Of course, best chicken and dipping sauce!

Patricia is the best server ever! She helped me find the right combination of food vs price. She is the best. Swiss Chalet us always a great visit. Been coming to them for many years.

The drive-thru debit card machine asked for a tip. No further comments.

Well no, actually, prices are a little high, too. And upon reflection of my bill, they charged me for what were supposed to be included drinks along with the quarter chicken dinner combos.

In retrospect they were skimpy with condiments, too, asked me if I wanted ketchup instead of just including it, same with cutlery and butter. Which you kind of need for the buns?

Awful location, cheap and petty is the best way to describe it. It really just made me feel like I should have gotten a rotisserie chicken elsewhere.

My waitress was awesome went above and beyond to make sure we had a pleasant time. Even with two miss haps with my daughters lunch and dessert!

Signal Hill Swiss Chalet, has consistently a family-friendly vibe! Vithy, the manager, trains staff who know further service excellence.

Yesterday, young Masa, an eager, smiling, and courteous 19 year old, was as one of his older colleagues shared "a breath of fresh air".

Masa listened well, understood our elderly parents' needs, and literally ran to help us. He was polished and professional and we wish him much success in his future career in whatever he chooses. Thank you, Masa, for exceptional customer service! Happy new year to you all!

Great service, great food, timely and very tasty. Anna was a great server, keep her around, she's a great asset to Swiss Chalet.

We had Shay as our server.she hit it out of the park. She was happy, speedy and just an all around good time. It’s what I expected when I come to Swiss chalet for a quick simple meal. This is a Canadian staple and it’s sad to see them slowly disappear.

Terrible service
I placed the order using Swiss Chalet application. When the order was not delivered on time, I called customer service. While waiting for that, I tried to call the restaurant but no one answered the phone. I waited for 15 minutes before a customer service representative answered. The CSR contacted the restaurant, but could not get hold of anyone and he could not provide me with further info. The order was not delivered, then it was canceled and Swiss Chalet refused to send an email to confirm that my credit card charges have been reversed. This was at least the third time that this location has messed up with orders and deliveries. I have always contacted customer service, but things have not improved. Enough with this …. Swiss Chalet - Signal Hill AWFUL RESTAURANT WITH AWFUL SERVICE AND POLICIES. I DO NOT RECOMMEND USING SWISS CHALET DELIVERY SERVICES…

Amazing food overall, very clean bathroom. Great service as well. However, they put coleslaw in my chicken sandwich. Unacceptable. They should have a warning for things like these.

Was passing through town and had to stop in. We don't have this restaurant anymore in my town. Great service and friendly staff. Delicious food as always.

I used to come here with my mom all the time in the 90s. Figured I'd take my kids for nostalgia today. We waited at the door for 15 minutes to be seated. No greeting, no "I'll be right with you", no staff to be seen. When we were finally greeted it was too late, we were on our way out the door. The restaurant was not busy at all. Only 2 tables were eating. We left and went to Montana's, just a few doors down with the kids instead. Much better service. We were seated within 2 minutes and eating within 30 minutes. If you want a good family meal with good service, I recommend you skip Swiss Chalet and go to Montana's just down thr parking lot instead.

The restaurant and washroom were really clean. The portions are huge and everything came out super hot. First time in a Swiss Chalet and it was an overall really good experience.

Been going to swiss challet for years; a guilty pleasure.

My family and I felt very disrespected by the portion sizes and customer service at this establishment. We thought to try Swiss Chalet after years thinking the food might have improved, that was a big mistake. I feel ripped off.

You are better off eating at the all you can eat Sushi place just next door, this place is not worth your time and money.

I mean this is my favourite place in town. I always am very happy when I am here. Anyone who knows about swiis chalet will know excatly what i mean. I moved here from Ontario and felt right at home straight away here. Love it!

I placed an order online and had it delivered. All was good until I noticed I was charged more than It was supposed to be and it turned out that the restaurant added a tip WITHOUT my consent. This is basically stealing

Even better since the renovations, the atmosphere made for a great family night out. The service was quick and attentive. The chicken was brilliant!

Love this Swiss chalet the staff are so friendly, the food is amazing and well priced, and their super officiant. We come every week and are never disappointed.

Very disappointed! Went dinner yesterday, waited 15mins ish to be seated which is understandable.
I ordered the fish sandwiche. Then after another 15 mins ish the server dropped me the fish fillet menu! Had to wait another 5 mins to see her and I advised her I got wrong menu. She took it away n after another 10 mins she brought the right menu where the fillet was in the sandwich BUT at that time the baked potato was already cold! And by the time I started eating my mum was almost done hers. Won't visit or recommend this place again. ;- (

Completely pleased with tonight’s service! Busy and all, but we never had an issue with our order. Also, the server made sure we didn’t miss anything, and checked up on us. Great job tonight ladies.

Newly renovated and very good food. Very polite staff and staff that are on the ball. Service is good along with the atmosphere.

The chicken is always very good. Restaurant was clean and our waitress was friendly and quick. Only complaint was the my kids' fries seemed very old.

I went here with my family today and was disappointed, we ended up waiting 30minutes to only hear that the restaurant was closing early and if we were to get a seat the restaurant would close in half an hour. No one greeted us at the door or told us about the waittime or anything, atleast inform the customers, this was an awful Christmas Eve.

The staff was so nice and really great, we went for my mom's birthday and everyone was very sweet. We also went during a rush and surprisingly they weren't grouchy or bitter which happens quite often. Super great experience, thanks.

Decent food for the price. Their roast beef meals are good. Not ideal for large group of adult and children. Overall okay!

Recently underwent a renovation where half of the restaurant was converted into a Harvey's. Expect to wait a little longer during peak hours and their capacity is less.

It took over 8 minutes to get seated, even though it was not busy at all (maybe 4 tables full). The waitress took us to a table that had wet benches because they had just been wiped, but didn't offer to dry them for us or seat is at another table. She also looked like her day only got worse since we walked in, never introduced herself, smiled, asked us how our evening was going, offer is water, etc. Nothing. So we didn't even order food, we just left. What kind of food can I expect when the service sucks so much before you even get to order? !

Brand new interior, quite a change, probably a shocker for the older clientele that are used to the homely feel.
Food is the same old Swiss chalet flavors, so no surprises there.if you like the Nando's and such, it's pretty well the same type of chicken without being halal along with non spicy dipping sauces.

I stick with the quarter chicken (white meat - **surcharge) with fries. Something that is extremely difficult to mess up.

I have always loved Harvey's so was excited to try out the new combination Swiss Chalet/Harvey's restaurant in Signal Hill. The burgers did not disappoint, so much better/fresher than the big name competitors, friendly staff and a great freshly renovated look. Also, one of our group had the veggie burger and was very pleased. We will be back!

Reno is great. They added a Harvey's. But there was lots of confusion about table numbers and orders. Not happy with the new cheese bread option

Just a good old fashion chicken stop. Can’t go wrong with chicken on a kiaser! Service is amazing here! Lisa is awesome, she remembers all our names and what we order for years. Seems to just know what we want before ordering. Always asked about our kids and our family and just genuinely cares. Keep it up Lisa, you’re awesome!

We just had dinner in the freshly renovated restaurant in the Signal Hill community. The new decoration is really an upgrade compared to the old place with modern, very comfortable booths. The service, menu and food stayed the same: awesome!
Highly recommended for a friendly family dinner.

Stopped into Harvey's today for lunch, nice clean new reno! Happy to have them back in the neighborhood! The staff were kind and friendly, that being said in the kitchen I would like to see the use of gloves being used instead of bare hand's for handling the buns, taking them out of the toaster broiler, loading the burgers onto the warmer to get the fresh toppings loaded on by the people wearing gloves! Thank you, will be back.

It's absolutely fantastic that Harvey's is back at the Signal Hill location in Calgary! We really missed it! We have been there twice in the last week and the food is superb, especially their Angus with Cheese and Bacon. However, they have been brutally disorganized on both occasions, as the manager clearly doesn't have control of her team. Fries and onion rings will come out and sit for up to 10 minutes before the order is complete, by which time the fries and onion rings are nearly cold and may as well be thrown out and a new order made. I realize that they have only been open for around a week and need to find their groove and create a flow, however, a manager that can take control, focus the kitchen staff and organize the operation would help a lot.

We actually visited the Harvey's that shares a lobby with Swiss Chalet.
The new renovations have changed the atmosphere for both restaurants. Harvey's feels rustic modern, with lots of seating and as always, delicious custom hamburgers topped just the way we wanted.
The ordering counter seems quite short, unless you like meeting people up close and personal as you wait for your order. But service was prompt and our order came up correctly, with no issue using a coupon.
We'll be back!

My brother and me gratefully used are scene points to purchase a chicken rib dinner we happened to be the last order before Swiss located in West Hills Shopping Center was closing down for a month for renovations at West Hills.the staff was eagerly awaiting with big smiles to close shop and begin their summer time renovation holiday from Swiss Chalet

Went in for the Harvey's friends and family event, very friendly staff quick service and delicious food. Everything I expect from a burger joint. Will definitely go again.and again.oh lord my waistline

The family chicken dinner is great, the chicken is made fast and moist. The French fries are delicious and can’t ever go wrong with the Caesar salad. It is overall expensive for just 1 chicken but if your looking to pick something up quick for the family dinner I’d recommend.

I've never particularly loved Swiss Chalet, But every time I eat here I'm somehow even more disappointed than before. The Rib and Chicken meal was the last straw. Every single bite I was spitting out something inedible; chunks of gristle, cartilage, bone shards. For 20+ dollars you can do way better.

You can trust Swiss Chalet to create good food for the whole family. My staple on their menu is a quarter chicken with shrimp. It didn't fail me. The service is always friendly.

Outstanding service for a change at this location! Decent good done exactly as we ordered it (again, a pleasant surprise!)

Great food love the chicken and rib combination. Located near the Canadian Superstore but not in it. Free parking with handicap spots and accessible entrance. Moderately priced. Good for lunch or dinner. High chairs for youngsters. Take out available at the rear of the building at drive up window.
