This is a great little hole in the wall restaurant. They’ve been around for 21 years and have very good (what I would consider) authentic Mexican. Will be going back, my entire party of 4 had amazing food

Ordered birria nachos for delivery among other items. Get home and find it’s the wrong nachos (the cheaper one with no meat). Paid 20$for these nachos so I call them up asking if I can get store credit for the difference, or whatever. Nope. Feels like I was robbed of my $$$. Not the first time this has happened either, called in and was told my order was at the other location, went to the other location and they said oh it’s actually the other place. So infuriating.

I've been to Taco's Mexico three times now and each time has been wonderful.

The food is authentic and as good as it gets. Each time I've got the tacos, the tacos are amazing. I generally over indulge but its work it. Highly recommend!

Little hole in the wall. Great food. Was told of this place by two ladies from Texas who said it was authentic Mexican food. Lovely.

The tacos were awesome as well as the cuatro plate.service was top notch. I just want to wait over in the corner until I'm hungry again.well done guys.

After trying the Tacos Mexico Memorial and having an amazing 5-star experience, I was happy to find another location closer to where I live. Unfortunately in comparison, this was rather disappointing. The menu was different, less choices when it came to margaritas, the food was not nearly as good and the service and atmosphere did not feel the same at all. Won't be back to this location, but definitely the Memorial one!

Been here twice already, the lady is really nice and we might have over ordered but we were able to finish most of it cause it was really good.

I used to manage the business next door, and I can absolutely say that it was torture not being able to eat all of those delicious smells. I've been there since, and it's just absolutely great food, matched by their friendly staff. Totally worth checking out.

They don’t care if you are waiting there for 10 minutes. They won’t even come to you to ask what do you need!

Order from here in the past via Uber Eats and the food was good so thought why not try it in person. Well that was a mistake, the food was still good but have to be the worst service I’ve had, first waiter seem to be in a rush and when took our order didn’t write it down and got it mess up and my boyfriend had to wait longer for his then I did for mine. Had to wave down the staff to get basic things like water and only checked on us when they saw that we might be leaving.

Recommend this place through Uber Eats for home but will never eat in the restaurant again

Great quality food, one of the best taco places I’ve been to. The food is very affordable and the place has great atmosphere! Highly recommend to anyone looking for quality food that’s quick and affordable!

Service.the owner gotta watch the boy who serves there. Instead of being more polite, his statemts are like: " You dont need anything else right"? I paid and went somewhere else to enjoy my dessert!

The best fish taco by far!

I have eaten here many many times. And never been disappointed. I've also had the nachos and the tortilla soup and they are superb as well. They only reason they get a four for atmosphere is because their locations are very small.

Was a good experience. Food was good, service was good, location is very easy to access. Well worth trying for some fresh Mexican!

Not the best place in Calgary for tacos. Bland flavors unfortunately. Found the fish and steak over cooked. Chipotle had no flavor

Most authentic in Calgary, the molé is the best I’ve had north of the border. Growing up with a residence all my life in Mexico this place reminds me of real small town Mexican food. The tres de leches dessert for my birthday was decadent!

I believe this might be the best Mexican cuisine I've enjoyed since moving back from Texas.
Will definitely be back!

This is the only Mexican restaurant in Calgary that serves Tampiqueña, granted it's a lot more dolled up here than the lunch special I used to buy when I was abroad but it's done very well and the margarita is reasonable though it's obviously from a mix rather than from scratch. I am surprised that other Mexican restaurants in Calgary don't carry Tampiqueña as it's the most popular meat dish in Mexico. The only thing that would remind me more of the restaurants I went to when working abroad is if they served warm salsa and chips which is also something you also never see in Calgary.

I am taking one star off because the service was a bit slow. My partner and I were the only ones in the restaurant, and it took longer than needed for like 8 tacos and a plate of nachos. I enjoyed my food a lot and so did my partner. The food was very authentic too! Will be back again.

We had a fantastic meal. We felt like we were taking a chance with this pick, I guarantee you don’t need feel that way. The food was fantastic. The server gave great recommendations, the bathrooms were fresh. The restaurant was super cozy, with a joyful atmosphere. 10/10 will dine again with others so they try it. Was absolutely reasonably priced, considering that no one left a bite behind and we talked about how good the food was for hours after the meal. Thank you for hosting us.

Stopped by for some tacos which I realized cost us more than was listed on their online menu after we'd taken our food and left. The tacos themselves were just OK. We had the Barbacoa and the Al Pastor. The Barbacoa lacked flavor, and the price simply didn't match the quality. I'd definitely recommend they update the pricing on their menu so it doesn't come across as being dishonest.

Ordered 6 Tacos that could have filled a 4 year old’s belly…if they didn’t have much of an appetite. Went to the memorial drive location last week and they were 1000x better. This place was cold and gave me enough meat for maybe 3 tacos. Go to the Memorial location, they make amazing tacos there.

The food is amazing. Even though they were a bit short staffed they got our food out in a reasonable time. I would highly recommend this place.

It’s one of these places that you don’t expect to find, and when you do you’re reluctant to tell too many people about it. A truly authentic Mexican food experience! Enjoy! (Sorry I didn’t take photos, but the others shown were excellent examples!)

A deilghtful variation of Tacos Mexicos on Memorial Drive. Some favs from the other one are common, like the delicious chicken fajitas with its amazing marinade. The chicken chimichangas (deep fried) were to die for. Service is excellent with great recommendationsn from the staff. Highly recommended companion to Tacos Mexico on Memorial!

Such a hype about this place lately so we decided to give a try. Ordered MEXICAN CHURRASCO and STEAK RANCHERO honestly I would rather chew on my shoe laces steak complete over done no flavor in any meat so disappointed after spending $70 the only good part about this meal was the dipping sauce for the calamari appetizer. Definitely won't be going back

After recently having Mexican dinner at another restaurant, we decided to try this place for a comparison and I have to say the results were interesting… upon arriving we were sat at a table and not even two minutes later being asked what we would like to order. I like quick service but this was a bit too quick. To start our dinner my group and I decided to start with an appetizer, we ordered the Calamari with one limonade drink and one Horchata. Now honestly the Horchata was incredible I almost ordered a second one, the limonade was fresh and tasty, as for the Calamari it was fairly normal with the dipping sauce being a nice combination. As for our main meals we ordered one Chipotle beef (street taco) and one Tampiquena. We both found the beef in both of our dishes to be a bit dry and over cooked, and I found that the tacos could have used a bit more sauce on the shredded beef, the star of my plate was definitely the hot sauce, it was incredibly bold, I really enjoyed it. I would say our experience at this restaurant was about a 3.5 out of 5. The drinks definitely brought the score up, I just wish I could say the same about the main course.

The tacos were excellent, would go back for them. Service was terrible, took 10 minutes to get a drink and we were the only table in there! Ordered an appetizer that we never did get, also ordered the enchiladas and were brought the wrong ones…wouldn’t order them again as they were bland. Great place for tacos though!

Are there new owners? 30% price increase, it’s $20+ for anything now. This place doesn’t warrant it, the whole attraction was a cheap modest Mexican restaurant now it’s a cash grab. The food quality decreased as well. Staff seem overworked and miserable. I’ll go up the street to Tu Tierra it’s worth the same price for a better restaurant and food.

Best Mexican food in calgary! Margaritas are amazing and the appy platter is homemade and absolutely delicious!

I recently returned from a work trip to Cancun where all I ate was street tacos, and after I got home I was craving tacos. I found this place and I was not disappointed! Their tacos were exactly what I was craving. I half expected to come out of the restaurant and onto the streets of Cancun, but to my disappointment I was still in Calgary. ️.

Very good experience. The food was excellent flavor wise. The only thing that could have made it a full 5 stars was that if the meals were hotter. Seems like they were warm at best but still great flavors. Service was good as well. Would recommend.

Enjoyed our taco experience. Had the beef tongue, adobo chicken and shrimp tacos. They were all delicious.

Decided to try out this location after eating at the memorial location numerous times. This location did not disappoint. Good portions and the food tastes amazing. Tacos Mexico is my go to Mexican spot. The mole enchiladas are my favourite.

Love the flavors here. Tacos and salsa are great! Try the taco mixed platter for a selection of flavors.

Also easy to work with for catering an officr lunch.

Good Mexican place but the service was a little slow. From what I could tell they only carried flour tortillas and I prefer the authentic corn. Great value for your dollar. Will go back for sure!

I'd give zero if I could. Ordered 6 tacos from Skip. They forgot Salsa Verde and Spicy salsa. And limes. I called and left a message. Never received a call back. Food was aweful. They only care about money. STAY AWAY.

Hands down the BEST authentic Mexican food I’ve found. Great service despite being very busy and excellent food and atmosphere. A new family favorite for sure!

I had the enchiladas verde and they were really good. My date had the tacos, el Pastor (delicious) and the steak, the steak was over done. The service was okay.

The food was amazing! We ordered one of the platters and every item had its own unique flavours! Definitely will be going back! Hopefully we will also be able to dine in, there is a cozy and friendly atmosphere.

You want good Mexican food, go eat here! I usually have the tacos and enchiladas, always consistent and fresh. We've dined in a few times, service is ok but we go for the food. Since Covid, we order takeout often to support them. Will be dining in again soon!

It's hard to find authentic tacos and Mexican food. This is the right place to go if you want to try real tacos and Mexican dishes. Small family friendly restaurant, nice decoration and friendly service. The order of 6 tacos is a great option and the price is reasonable. There are also lots of options other than tacos if you want to try something new.

This place was recommended to me by a Mexicana when it was Los Mariachis. Now as Tacos Mexico Macleod, I took a Texan there who was tired of other places he’s been to in Calgary not being authentic. THIS PLACE IS AUTHENTIC!

They don’t have taco Tuesday because every day is TACO DAY at their prices.

Some of the best Mexican food we have had. We ordered the chimichanga, which was not the way we were used to but Soooo good. The fish, beef and pork street tacos were bomb.

The food here is excellent. The soups are authentic to what you would eat in a local mexican restaurant.

The food was flavourful but the service was ditzy and assumed the amount of tip by not even offering change back. Tables and chairs are sticky.

Canteen style casual dining. Authentic Mexican with a great selection of tacos, fajitas and etc. Don't judge the outside by its cover.

Left after 25 minutes of no drinks or order taken. The guy next to us walked out after 10 and he didn't even get greeted. They also don't honor their own coupons even though the "restraunt is the exact same just under different name"

This Mexicano restaurant is where the saying becomes a reality “ Good things come in small packages, " meaning the staff was great and made my wife day Órale, from all her stressful Day from work and family. “good things come in small packages. ” = Delicious food, great staff, Una cerveza please, and a fabulous place to take your wife out for a date.away from the kids.

The food here was amazing, so incredibly worth it. The waitress was very nice and the food was prepared very quickly. So so delicious!

In my view, this is the best Mexican food in Calgary. I have been here several times for lunch and for supper. The food is excellent. I have tried most things on the menu and it is all good. Excellent value for money. Wait staff is very friendly and attentive. $4 dollar tequila shots on Fridays. If you're hankering a feed of Mexican, pop by and enjoy.

Hands down, best Mexican restaurant in Calgary! The outside is very decieving to how clean and nice it is inside. The tacos are so good! The only downside when we went was they seemed to have been short-staffed the night we went. We were there for 3 hours! But we were catching up with friends and didn't have any place to be so it was still a great experience for us. Will definitely be going back! Hopefully the short staffing is a rare occurrence.

Small, authentic Mexican restaurant, El Cuatro meal had four different entrees. Friendly staff and not noisy ambience.

You can tell a good Mexican place by their salsa I say and it’s sooo good. Portions are big. The poor cook had to be the server and the cook because the mgr was out. He was so warm and nice. When the mgr came back, she could be heard at a loud level speaking harshly in Spanish because he took our coupon that he shouldn’t have (my mistake but I also had an Entertainment coupon that specifically said lunch or dinner but she wouldn’t let me fix it). I will be back because of the amazing cook!

I dream of these fish tacos. Seriously, generous portions and amazing food, what's not to love! We live on the exact opposite side of town, but will make the trek just to eat here.
The prices are also great for the amount and quality of food.
Sometimes the wait is a little long, but everything is made to order so you cant hold that against them. I'm not sure it he's the owner who served us last time, but the guy who did was fantastic! Just all around a great place

Stopped in for lunch and loved how authentic this place is designed for a Mexican restaurant. Ordered a margarita and received it promptly. To my surprise on the first sip it was not non alcohol. I ordered this because I was driving. When I asked the server if there was alcohol in here she agreed there was. I was surprised that she didn’t ask if I wanted a virgin or not. O well I only had the one so I should be ok. The meal was very good, warm when received and a decently size portion. All in all I will recommend the place for a single lunch person. And remembered to state a virgin drink when I order it.
