Just took a belt-making class here and it was awesome! Great value for the prices and the staff are super accommodating and knowledgeable. I can't wait to take more classes here!

I love Tandy leather! Such amazing staff. They used to have a dog that would hang out, I miss seeing him as he was the sweetest dog and made my experience just that much more fun, but I understand that corporate has made a policy change. Last time I was in, Candice helped me, she was so professional, kind and sweet. I would come in just to see her. Would totally recommend coming in if you want quality materials, services, and to interact with incredibly kind people!

I am reluctantly making a negative review of this store. I love the store and its staff, and have been shopping here for years, but I cannot abide the dog anymore. I've tried to work with the store manager, trying to only come in when the dog is absent or call ahead so the dog can be put away, but it's only a matter of time before someone is bitten, and my anxiety just can't take it anymore.
The last time I came in I sensed an inexplicable coldness from the staff, so unfortunately I'm reluctantly making the NE store my go-to now.
I'm very sad and disappointed that this store is prioritizing the dog over customers.

To be clear, I love animals, but this dog is unpredictable, very large, and often unfriendly. He's barked aggressively at me numerous times, lunged at me when I'm coming in the door, and growled and snapped while the manager strains to hold him back by his leash. He is decidedly unfriendly, and I suspect the positive reviews were written by friends of the dog's owner.

Their dog is hurting their business. That dog has no place in that store and will bite someone - just a matter of time. Fair warning! The dog was in a foul humor, and we had to leave because the dog growled and barked at both my wife and I. The woman in the store held the dog's leash, but the dog would not sit at her command. We had been regular customers over the past years.

Great place to get supplies. Candice was so nice she even showed me how to fix my baseball glove!

Stopped in to grab some tools to get started. Sebastian was super helpful and gave me a mini lesson and lots of tips. Thanks again!

Beware if you have a mask exemption. They will refuse you service. Lost my buisiness of 27 years.

I had a great experience here with the workers. They helped me decide which tools to get (I am just getting into leather work) and they helped me with any questions I had regarding leather work.

It's hard to get out of Tandy! The leather is gorgeous, the prices are reasonable. I have been shopping with them for over 30 years. When I can't get to Calgary, the shipping is fast.

I have been going to this Tandy location for years. The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. They are all super helpful and passionate about their work. I love going in and geeking out about leatherwork with them. (If you are lucky there will also be a big suck of a dog to pet during your visit, he's the sweetest).

Not impressed! The staff used to be friendly and welcoming - they were rude and almost stand-offish. The prices are wrong. On the shelf, the price of a metallic hide stated that it was $40, but as soon as we were looking at it, a staff barks over that the price is wrong and it's ACTUALLY $175. However, no one removed the price tag and they refused to honour the tag. Also, eyelet screws prices were priced higher than the website (thankfully not ACTUALLY so), but don't trust their price tags because it seems like they don't get updated ever. So it's a gamble every time you go in. Staff talk down to you like you know nothing and want to push you out as fast as possible. Thankfully, there is a second store that I can shop at where the staff are awesome. I will be taking my business there from now on.

Made a pouch with the Box kit I bought here. I recommend their kits if it’s yours first time. The staff will let you know if you require anything extra for last touches.

I had a amazing experience here creating my own natural leather belt with the guidance of the manager, Patrick. He encouragingly shared his expertise, knowledge, and passion for leathercrafting with myself, my friends, and other customers in the store. It was a very engaging, educational, and enjoyable experience visiting the store - you likely won't find customer service like this anywhere else.

I bought the beginners kit and took the free classes that came with it. The instructor was very knowledgeable and took his time explaining techniques. Definitely gave me something to go and build on. Very worth while!

This location is just great. All of the staff are friendly and knowledgeable, ready to help with anything. With advice or what is the best supplies to use for your project.
