Was there for a birthday dinner for a group of us. I had the steak sandwich. The steak was so thin. Part of mine was tough the other tender. Fries tasted like old grease was used. The coleslaw was really good. Garlic toast was really dry. There was about 20 of us and everyone had a least 2 complaints about their meals. The waitress was very pleasant.
We went for breakfast. Pretty darned reasonable price wise and taste. This is a place that is perhaps a hidden gem as we were the only 2 people there for breakfast. We lost track of time chatting and started to notice more people arriving for lunch. The video gambling machines next to the restaurant area kind of detract from the atmosphere and we understand that because of these machines the restaurant is not available to children therefore family dining may not be possible.
Was pleasantly surprised by the prices and quality of the food! Mom had the steak and eggs which were all cooked perfectly and I had their cheeseburger with a veggie patty. Burger tasted great, cheese was melted perfectly and the fries were awesome. Waitress was friendly and quick, will be back again for sure!
Great little spot with free parking at the back. Food was great, husband had a Teddy's burger and fries, gave it 10/10. I had turkey dinner which was pretty good except the dressing was odd (find a newfie dressing recipe - it's gold).
Service was excellent, greeted and checked on multiple times.
As soon as you walk in, you get hit with the smell of bleach. The pancakes were actually raw. It was the worst breakfast I've ever had. I didn't have high expectations, but it was actually much worse.
I just ordered a beef dip from Teddy's on the Uber app and they supplied a small gravy cup and expect you to be able to dip your sandwich into it this is supposed to be a roast beef dip and I have a small gravy cup what a joke
Teddy's is one of those places that has been there forever. I was going there over forty years ago, and back then, it was "the" place to go and an all-around dining and entertainment spot. It's still there and I should say without its previous flair, but you still get good service from a nice staff, and it's just one of those places that time has forgotten. Instead of entertainment, nowadays you can try your luck on VLTs. Not exactly entertainment. But I'm sure brings in revenue.
I went here with my fiancée and my bestfriend for the all you can eat steak. Our steak is perfectly cooked, tasty sides and that’s for only 40 bucks. Also, Kimberly is the best! Very entertaining and made us laugh. Will defff come back here.
Almost cracked my tooth on the toast. Heard good things about the food. Moved across the street and love my Sunday steak and eggs. The pic is my “medium rare” that was really well done. And who serves old bread? !? !
Too bad, this place looks like it might’ve been nice once upon a time. Now it’s a waste of money with not so friendly staff. (the new server was ok tho)
Great place to meet friends or just to stop in for a beer after work. Many machines for.th3 vlt players and tvs for the sports watchers. I will recommend to everyone I know or keep this good secret to myself.
Hey everyone when you a little down folks this the place to be for any occasion our rock star waitress with very long black hair should be in Hollywood she was great the food was good a neat little gem for my brothers and sisters. Regards to you all.
Went for lunch yesterday after hitting a bucket of balls and a nice river valley walk. Hadn't been to Teddy's for ages, and I was pleasantly surprised that their food is still excellent! Service was prompt and our waitress was efficient and polite. Had the Ruben with onion rings. Yum. They still served their mile high pie. Unfortunately, no lemon meringue, but the flapper was a close second. All in all, a lovely lunch
Wasn't able to try food as got there too late. But definitely going back to try probably the Reuben and flapper pie. Nice quiet place, friendly atmosphere. Recommended.
We went for a steak dinner. For a place that boast about their steaks, we weren’t overly impressed. The steak was definitely NOT worth the price we paid for it. The ribeye was very thin, pieces of fat throughout and just a poor cut that was way overpriced. It had good flavour and was tender but that was it. The New York. Steak was thin as well. Just an over priced undercut piece of meat. Not impressed whatsoever.
A great, quintessential edmonton restaurant that has a long, rich history. Best Reubens in town! Fantastic service! Also, free parking in the back for patrons.
