The trip started well with seeing a group of elk outside as we drove up. All the staff we encountered here were very friendly and helpful. Don’t miss the s’mores night and also the interpretive talk. Both are excellent. We didn’t have the chance to see any other entertainment while we were there. We didn’t walk in to jasper but it seemed close enough.
The lodge was smaller than expected, and I hadn’t realised the lodges actually join another lodge. I assumed from the pictures I saw that they were all separate.
I was woken very early one day by someone’s alarm going off next door. So I assume the walls are fairly thin. I have to admit we didn’t hear too much after that. Just the odd voice now and then.
I was told the beds were very comfy, I was on the sofa bed which was not comfy. It woke me up when I moved in the night due to squeaky springs.
The lodge had everything you needed. The soaps in the toilet were so nice we went and bought some from their shop in Banff! (Rocky Mountain soap company)
I enjoyed having a log fire going during the cool evenings. We were in a Columbia king cabin and it was smaller than I expected. However as a family of 4 we were quite used to the space by the time we left. We did have to live out of the suitcases though as there’s no wardrobes or drawers.
Having no tv was a bonus. The wifi was very good if you must get some screen time.
Plenty of parking available.

I’ll recommend Tekarra Lodge as it’s an authentic experience. Is it a 5* place? No. But then it’s not claiming to be.

Just stayed a night but the front desk was very pleasant when we checked in. Room was clean and bed was comfortable! Would definitely stay again if we get through that way.

Easy to access. Cabins are beautiful. Had to wait longer time for an extra comforter. Very expensive. Had to spend $1500 for two nights

Tekarra is a beautiful place to stay in Jasper! I just got back from traveling with my family and it was highly recommended by another friend. I was a little nervous and prepped my family that it would be “rustic” especially with all of us in one cabin. It was by far our favorite place of the trip. The lodges are simple but clean and the beds and bedding are so comfortable. The bathroom was big and the Rocky Mountain Soap Co amenities are a lovely touch. But most of all the lodge felt like a community with s’mores by the campfire each night and a wildlife talk. The views of the Athabasca River were just stunning. My kids knew where to find me with my book each afternoon. It is walkable to town but still has that beautiful nature surrounding. The staff was so friendly and helpful. No wonder it is booked solid. I would highly recommend!

The place looks very pretty on the outside. We stayed in the Miette Double Cabin which did not have a view. The overall experience was okay. The room was smaller than expected. The bed as well as the blanket was too small for a couple so we did not have a good night's sleep. Request for a bigger blanket was made but nothing came out of it. Housekeeping was practically non-existent when we went there and the staff did not appear to be very well-trained to anticipate the guests needs. If you just need a place to sleep while exploring Jasper, this place is not worth the money (or at least their double cabin is not).

A great place to stay in the Jasper National Park. The location is great with great walks within the property and a scenic view of the Athabasca and Miette rivers. Further its not far from the downtown area.
The rooms are small and the bathrooms are even smaller and the shower a 'straightjacket ' The management must realise that for the price that their customers pay, they normally do not live in such cramped surroundings and there is a limit to the price surge they put in peak season.

This place is way too overpriced for what it worth (from my experience). The room and beds are so small and tight. There is also DMF - destination marketing fee, like something bizarre to add on to the hotel room fee.

We had a great time at the lodge. Would have liked to stay longer but unfortunately everything was already booked. The facility and surroundings are great. All employees are extremely friendly and helpful, you can barbecue, there are campfires and the view of the river is fantastic. A great experience.

Absolutely beautiful and super quiet, if you can afford the price. Within walking distance of town = super convenient.

A great place to stay in Jasper. Super comfortable cabin and bed. There was some evidence of mice in the cabin, but the front desk corrected this in a super way.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the lodge. We weren't sure what to expect but we were very pleasantly surprised. Everything is very clean and well kept, staff is awesome and there was a giant elk hanging out right outside our window when we checked in. Also, the complimentary breakfast is the best I've ever had.

This was my 5th visit to Jasper National Park, and my first stay at Tekarra Lodge. Without a doubt Tekarra is my favourite place I've stayed while in the park. I travelled with a group of six photographers. We stayed in two of the new Whistler's cabins. These cabins were full of rustic charm, immaculately cleaned, fully equipped with all the amenities, and super comfortable beds (even the sofa bed). Their location is perfect, just five minutes away from town and super close in proximity to some of the park's most popular attractions and wildlife.

What truly made our stay unforgettable was the mesmerizing wildlife that surrounded us at the lodge. From majestic elk to the occasional sighting of a bear, nature's beauty was on full display.

I have nothing but good things to say about the on-site restaurant. The breakfast menu is straightforward and executed flawlessly. Our group looked forward to breakfast every single morning and the staff was kind and speedy.

Will definitely rebook here for future visits to the park!

From outside everything looks nice but when you go into the cabin you get a miniature, dirty and not comfortable experience.
The bathroom was too small. The sink was so small I couldn’t wash my hands. The housekeeping did clean the room, just reorganised the same sheets.
I would not recommend this place at all.

Great stay! The location is a bit of a walk to downtown but it’s better because you get an amazing view! We got a small room above the restaurant. It was small but we didn’t stay in it very much. The only down side was no air conditioner. But at night it got cool and the fan helped. I was actually cold by night time. The staff were wonderful and the breakfast was amazing. Would recommend this place to any of my friends or family.

This was my first time in Jasper National Park. I was traveling in a group of 6 and we had 2 cabins on the Tekarra property. The cabins were perfect. They were perfectly cleaned and ready for our stay. They had all the amenities one would need. They were 5 minutes from Jasper town, and minutes from some of the National Park's popular sights. The wildlife around the lodge was spectacular. Elk, even the occasional bear!

I also want to add the the restaurant on site is really top notch. It is a simple menu but they do it right. The breakfast was so so good. We didn't stray from that breakfast even once.

I will certainly be staying here again in the future. Tekarra allowed me a place to stay and follow my passion of photography in beautiful Jasper Park.

We sold our camper this year and we are now using hotels and cabins to go to jasper. We enjoyed our visit. Thanks

Excellent Lodge in the woods with many nice trails around.

It is 15 min walk to Jasper, which makes it very convenient.

The breakfast in the restaurant is yummy

Staff at the front desk and restaurant are friendly and helpful.

No complaints and will stay there again!

Our stay was very peaceful and relaxing. A vacation from our vacation in the Banff and Jasper area.
