The Alder Cafe + Grocery

Staff were friendly and the service was very good.
I had the split pea soup and it was delicious.

The coffee shop is a nice place to stop for coffee or snacks. Unfortunately the grocery is very overpriced, limited varieties of healthy, whole foods and the baked goods are not of the highest quality.

I went there today for the first time and I am really impressed with the awesome customer service I received in the meat department. (Brandon, Jay and another tall man sorry I didn’t catch his name) Even if they were busy they still took the time to try to accommodate my crazy last minute request and made me feel like they appreciated me being there! Will definitely be back!

Wow! What an addition to the Canmore food scene! Amazing selection, perfect coffee, delish food and wonderful staff. Grocery, butcher, deli, cheese, patisserie and gelato too? ! All amazing! Can’t wait to go again.

This place has it all: amazing coffee;
a clean, cozy, and comfortable atmosphere; delicious lunch and yummy desserts; and to top it all off, very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Will definitely be back!

It has everything your usual upper end grocery store has plus a fabulous meat section and Deli. The bake shop is unsurpassed in Canmore and the Cafe offers a variety of coffee and cappuccinos along with in house baking. Staff is superb and free parking in @SpringCreek.

The best panini in Canmore! Went with the ham and cheese, absolutely! My friend had the soup of the day and loved it. Will definitely be back, comfortable, relaxing space and lots more to try from desserts, Gelato and groceries! Wish I could post the pictures I took!

Had an excellent breakfast and coffee in this place. The location, design, ambiance and food were excellent! The owners and staff are friendly and I will be back for sure! I highly recommend this place. Can’t wait for the grocery side to open!

Great place! The beef dip was amazing. The chef definitely knows what he is doing. Friendly staff, the whole place looks great. Will go again for sure.

Lovely Cafe at Alder. Bright, comfortable environment. We enjoyed a tasty warm lunch bowl and the grilled cheese panini. Great coffee.

Popped in to the cafe today. Such a warm and welcoming space. Had the portobello mushroom panini—so good! The coffee is awesome as well. Staff were polite and service was quick (even though it was busy!). Highly recommend for a cafe and grocery stop.

Such a great space with a very well thought out menu. Stopped in for lunch and a coffee and was not disappointed. Top notch kitchen, outstanding bakery and a boutique grocery with unique items you'll not find elsewhere. Right down to the perfect relaxed vibe from the music. Highly recommended.

A welcome addition to Spring Creek. All we need under one roof! We enjoyed breakfast there today - open face egg sandwich was amazing! And a big “tip of the hat” to the young man who helped us at the bakery counter.

Stopped in to see the Alder Café and have a little lunch. The layout of the space is lovely. It is easy to move from the grocery area to the pâtisserie, the gelateria and right to the café. Ordering was easy and efficient at the cash then we chose a lovely seat by the huge windows. I had the Charred Spiced Ahi Tuna Bowl and my partner had the Grilled Double Smoked Ham + Aged Cheddar Panini. Service was great and friendly. The ahi tuna had a lovely deconstructed presentation and I loved the peppery crust on the tuna It was the perfect size portion as well. It comes with a poached egg which I didn't want and it was no problem to eliminate it from my order. I was very content with the variety of the bowl and the amount of food. I would definitely order this again. My partner loved his choice as well and said he would get it again. We had a hard choice to make between the gelato and the gorgeous pastries at the patisserie. We opted for the White chocolate strawberry slice. It was to die for! (and I am not a dessert person). Would definitely order it again altho all the pastries looked extremely tempting.we will be back again.
