First practice of the season with the Dinos u15s, I had no idea this place even existed, great people, nice to watch our daughter play, Eric is a great coach. Looking forward to going back.

What a cool place if you love volleyball and beach sand! They have a cool Tiki bar, host birthday parties for kids/teens, you can bring your own food in, picnic tables and even heat lamps for a "sun" affect! Super cool, would def do again!

Really cool place to take the kids! They have drop in times for little ones to play in the sand on Mondays and Wednesdays. It was a good time for my toddler. There are lots of sand toys to play with and a spacious area!

Went to fill in on a friend's team. Was a blast. More sand in my shorts than I care for but lots of fun and wiling be doing it again.

It's an excellent place to have the kid's birthday party. It's fun for them to play in the sand, the staff it's friendly, and they have activities for the kids. Also suitable for playing sand volleyball indoors. There's no water. It's only a giant sandbox. Recommended.

There is a terrible smell in the place. It’s as though someone relieved themselves in the sand. I do not recommend this place.

Wonderful spot. I just joined the summer league with a team of singles and everyone was awesome. They were kind and welcoming. Looking forward to my next game!

I'm spreading the word! This is an underutilized Calgary gem! I was amazed to get past the lobby and see all of the beautiful sand. There's a cute picnic area and the volleyball courts were fully booked. There are mini feet washing sinks. Great place for sand castle building.

I joined the drop-in session for my son. It's a fun place to spend a morning. And the price is really reasonable.

Amazing place. High ceilings, great sand, great hang-out spots and restaurant upstairs for before/after games, great quality equipment, great people. Oh, and you can play beach in the dead of winter in Calgary whaaaa?

Terrific facility for beginners and pros alike. Fun classes, leagues and various sports. If it's winter and you miss the feeling of sand between your toes, or any season for that matter, get to the beach.

The Beach YYC and it's management are fantastic! The facility and equipment are top notch and always clean. The staff are friendly and accommodating. Great place for exercise, to increase your skill level, and fun for birthday parties. Highly recommended.

Great place for kids to run around, play and have a great time! My son had an incredible time at Summer Camp, he learned new games and would be so tired by the end of the day. We will be going back there for birthday parties and enjoy some sand!

Went for toddler time on Wednesday morning: the sand was clean, lots of sand toys were provided and there is a snack area with toddler sized picnic table. There is plenty of space to play and was a super sensory experience! $8/ toddler for 90 minutes in the sand.

The staff were really flexible to the needs of our group. We had a great time with a large group of kids (40). For young kids, this is a great sensory experience for them. Highly recommend.

Went to The beach yyc for tot play time. If was a lot of fun! Kids loved it, worth checking out. It was very cold though best to dress warm as the sand is cold which of course makes you feet very cold. Make sure you fill out their online forms prior to going with a little in tow it makes it difficult to do well there.

What a fun idea! They've just opened recently and are off to a great start. If you like volleyball and Ultimate Frisbee this is a wonderful place to go. And if you have kids, they can play in the sand and build sand castles while you get your sports on.

Such a cool space! Wall to wall sand and music while you play. Last week was my first time and I had an absolute blast. Will be going every week for the rest of the season.

I’m now in my second season of rec league at The Beach YYC and absolutely love it. I spend my week looking forward to Wednesdays! The staff is really friendly and the facility is so unique. Love having my feet in the sand - especially when it’s -30 outside!

Hosted my 2 year old's birthday here a couple weeks ago and it was simply THE BEST! We had one court for the kids to play in (they put out lots of great toys) and another for the parents to play volleyball. The perfect venue for lots of people (we had around 40 people) that's also fun for all ages of kids as well as the parents. We had 3 picnic tables for snacks and cake and they have excellent facilities for nursing and changing babies. Even though none of us parents have played volleyball in ages, we all had a blast and are hoping to book a mom's night there in the near future. P. S.they serve beer too! And the cost of renting a court is very reasonable. The staff are all lovely and helped make everything go smoothly. I can't wait to go back!

Fantastic facility. So glad that Calgary has an indoor beach so we can train beach vball year round!

My mom/aunt rented out a court for my teenage daughter's birthday party. All of the kids play school volleyball but hadn't played beach volleyball before - they had an absolute blast! We were able to bring in our own decorations/food/cake and had a spacious area for eating. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend the Beach YYC for birthday parties or other private events!

Though I'm certain this place will remain popular year round, the concept of an indoor sand court is great for Canadian winters!

Amazing place to play to go play sports, especially in the winter. You get the full beach experience, anytime of the year. I would definitely recommend anyone to check it out

Really cool idea! The owner Elliot is an amazing guy and so welcoming. His staff are amazing. I love seeing a beach.in calgary.in the middle of winter! Take off your boots, get in your best beach wear, and have sand invade your backpack somehow.even though you never brought it anywhere near the beach.
