Pretty chill. Great crowd range for age. I felt most comfortable at the top level. Every were else everyone was 18 to 25 it seemed. This place had good balance. Good music as well. Very chill. Bathroom on first level was a disaster, ground floor is the younger crowd. Upstairs Bathroom was totally fine. Coincidence perhaps? This would be my place of choice out of most bars on the strip. Then again. I'm old.ish. Enjoy! It's worth a shot. Was a good time for me.
Great local spot. Awesome patio upstairs and the main floor is often opened to the street too, which makes it a great spot for people watching with a pint.
Bouncer knocked my beer out of my hand. Attacked me and chipped my guitar.because I asked someone a question about what they thought about straight white men and I was told that I had to leave. I was polite to the people I was talking to. I asked them if I could ask them a question because I was curious. I'm not sure if that is a valid excuse to hurt someone and damage their property. Maybe I'm in the wrong. I don't know. 6 dollar beer down the toilet and a 700 dollar guitar chipped. Perhaps it was a loaded question, but I'm certainly never going back.
Easily labeled as the quintessential-college-dive-bar, but it's rare to see encouragement, platforming really, for local music, bands, artists, and it's what separates the Dog from the crowd
Appalled with the actions of this establishments "bouncers" on June 17/23. They (4 of them) maliciously beat on a small young man, WHY 4 of them? They had their knee on his neck, WHY? I witnessed this outside and was not a patron of this establishment. Totally uncalled for, disgusting to watch. Shame on everyone standing around doing nothing to stop these criminals.
I went yesterday with some friends and I think the place is nice, the drinks are reasonably priced and the staff is very friendly. My problem was that the DJ didn't seem capable of setting a better atmosphere, it was a friend's birthday and she asked him to play a bad bunny song and he didn't want to. I understand that most people may not understand any Spanish but I highly doubt they don't know bad bunny and a song didn't hurt anyone.
Went out for a Saturday night, to get some dancing in. Drinks reasonably priced. The music was a bit repetitive. Two 20 year old DJs just playing the same sound clips over and over again. They played one good song which was Le Chic. Other than that, just the same beat on repeat Kind of disappointing tbh.
This was a 5star review as of 2021
Your typical easy going, laid back type of pub. Roof patio is excellent. Maybe our server was Dorian? Our server was very kind. I went there to get drinks with a friend for a birthday and he made us feel very welcome and made her feel very special. Thank you. And I hope I got your name right?
Layout is funny, drinks aren't exactly cheap, basement does not work as a venue though they try. But that rooftop patio come summer is one the best in town.
Horrible service. Friends stood at the bar for a few minutes without being acknowledged. When my one friend spoke to the bartender they got no response. Seems the staff was too busy talking to their buddies. This was after having been there for 10 minutes already. Better places on whyte
