I have had an absolutely terrible experience with my online purchase from the Brick. The delivery date that was set at the time of purchase was over a month from when I made my order. I recieved a phone call a week before delivery to confirm my delivery date and then made arrangements to work from home to be there to receive the delivery and then NOTHING. No phone call, no email, and certainly NO DELIVERY. After I got a hold of the store that was scheduling the delivery (Edson store) it was excuse after excuse after excuse. It was going to take another 2 weeks to get my delivery so I asked to cancel my order, then they said they could get it to me within the week. It was too late, I needed my stuff so I told them to cancel the order give me a refund. I also followed up with 3 emails to the store asking confirmation for my refund. NO RESPONSE AT ALL AND NO REFUND YET. I spoke with the store again today, they say it is 2 weeks to get a refund and gave me some more excuses as to why I don't have it and why they cannot seem to respond to emails. I asked to speak with the persons boss and he said he is the store manager and flat out refused to give me information for his supervisor. THIS HAS BEEN AN UNNACCEPTABLE EXPERIENCE.

I am not one to publicly slam any business on social media, but let me tell you…the Brick in Edson is a joke. They will never ever see any of our business ever again. I am all for shop local, support local and even spend the extra money to do so but I will not deal with no communication, and not standing behind your product.

We purchased a new couch from the brick in Edson end of June, we were told we only needed to pay 10% to place the order and that it would be here on July 7th to meet our possession date. I called on the 6th to see if it had arrived and it had yet to even be ordered, I then gave them the benefit of the doubt and accepted a floor model out of the Whitecourt store (that we had to go pick up ourselves, for a $600 discount…might I add we were told this couch was in immaculate condition with no issues as it had only been on the floor for a month). Fast forward to Sunday evening, my 11 niece goes to pull out the sleeper portion of the couch (1 handle) and the handle breaks off. We’ll no doubt it broke off it was held on with about 15 regular staples…yes regular. I’m talking your average table top stapler type staples. At this point we have owned the couch for a total of 9 days. I then go into the brick with the busted handle in hand, the salesperson agrees that this is not acceptable and sends an email off to the owners. I wait over 24 hours before having to call myself to find out what they would be doing about this to be told “this is an easy fix, just fix it yourself.

$3700 couch…garbage quality and garbage response.

Buyer Beware!

From this day forward Sunny and the team at City Furniture in Edson will be getting all my furniture and appliance needs business.

August 25th Update:
So here’s my latest Brick update. Which has taken over 3 weeks. They delivered the new couch to my house on the day they had said. They also removed the old couch but caused over $5000 worth of damage to my stairwell and flooring, they busted the baby gate off my stairs and now won’t honour their e-transfer option because we do not have 3 quotes. They expect me to pay for 2 flooring companies and 2 painters to come out from Edmonton to get a quote. Here are pictures of the damage they have done to my house. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THE BRICK.

I will be calling BBB as well as getting ahold of all news channels possible to make this as public and widespread as possible.

If I could give a MINUS I would! I have been trying to start a warranty claim on the SECOND sofa in a row, and Gavin has been far less than helpful. Not returning texts, not returning calls, and the online form to start the claim had no local store option. I chose a different store on the online form, and when they got back to me, over 2 weeks later it was to tell me that the claim was denied because I have to choose my local Edson store.
The quality of furniture has gone so far downhill that I will never shop The Brick again.

We went in to look for a new bed. I had done my research, so knew exactly what I wanted. Brodie was a very pleasant person to deal with and helped us get our sale completed. The day before it was to be delivered, I noticed the mattress was on sale for less than we paid. I contacted the store and spoke with the manager, Gavin. Not only did he refund the difference, he personally came to our house and set up the air motion base for me. The service was exceptional!

We went to The Brick in Edson, AB today to look at beds. Ethan Handford, whom we also spoke with yesterday regarding our upcoming need for new living room furniture, was present to help us again. Our plan was to look at and maybe narrow down our bed search, but Ethan was so helpful and efficient with finding the information we need, and explaining our options, that we decided to make a purchase today. In addition, he was able to help us arrange for it to stay in the warehouse for us until we move into our new house. Thank you Ethan!

We recently bought two sofas from this location to furnish our summer cabin. We had originally planned on ordering them from where we live in Edmonton but the Edson store was closer to our cabin. Katelyn G was great at helping us out over the phone and made it so simple to arrange delivery.

I checked around at different stores to purchase a massage chair. I went to the Brick and they were all very helpful and made feel very welcome to the store. Katelyn Grant in sales helped me choose a massage chair. The first chair that I ordered when delivered didn’t meet my requirements. After I explained to Katelyn in more depth. Katelyn went out of her way to research information on the type of massage chair I wanted. The one I chose is the Panasonics model Ep MAJ7 which I am very pleased with. If you ever need anything from the Brick go see Katelyn witch is very courteous and knowledgeable in her job will help any way she can.

I recently submitted a warranty claim regarding a set of furniture that was pilling. The regional manager Jessika was fabulous to deal with, made my concerns herd and offered a resolution to our issue. Very pleased with my experience.

So, I bought a fridge online in Calgary for delivery to a Calgary adddress - my confirmation email comes from The Brick in Edson with no indication of a delivery location. The invoice itself has no delivery location - I start a CHAT and I'm told, not to worry, The Brick has locations all across Canada and I'm assured delivery is to my Calgary address. Why put me through all this? Why not just an upfront statement to the effect that the sales information may show a store location away from the delivery location and then confirm the delivery location on the invoice. By the way, I would have preferred that my preferred store in Heritage Meadows, Calgary got credit for the sale.
Also, I tried to post this a couple of times - you didn't tell me that I had to select a number of stars before I could post - found that by accident.

We recently purchased an upright freezer and sofa at the Edson Brick. Ethan was our sales associate. He was friendly, knowledgeable & very helpful. He went above and beyond helping us with our purchases and I highly recommend this young man if you're in the market looking for anything at the Brick.

Recently, my husband and I purchased a new queen size bed and frame. We had the pleasure of dealing with Austin. He was very informative and very pleasant to deal with. We definately will be back to shop at the Edson Brick in the near future! Awesome Staff and Awesome Service!
