The best place to visit for any kinds of dresses occasion needs. With the very cozy vibes of the place down to the receptionist and my Dress Consultant Cecilia, I must say they were top notch. Cecilia made our visit easy and hassle free. I am definitely sure that anyone can find their perfect dresses as per the ideas and services she provides. Once again, thank you so much

I’ve gone back and forth for a couple weeks on whether or not I should write this review but frankly if it saves just one bride from having the same experience I had, it’s worth it. I’ve read a few other reviews here that almost identically describe the experience I had and I wonder if we had the same consultant. I paid for the $50 two hour appointment and we were finished in 45 minutes. Prior to the appointment I filled out the detailed pre-appointment form explaining the aesthetic I was after, the style I was hoping to find, and additional details about the day. It was clear that none of this was reviewed by the consultant. She asked very few questions about the type of dress I wanted and ignored the few parameters I set out (budget and fabric type being the main two). When I asked if I could see additional dresses since all the ones she pulled were basically one style, she said they’d all be out of my budget but several of the ones she pulled also were? Made no sense.

The biggest issue, above all that, was that this woman was a total wet blanket/downer and at times simply rude. She was completely disengaged, barely smiling, had nothing kind or encouraging to say as I was trying on gowns and even made a few remarks that were straight up snobby and unnecessary. She didn’t ask about my venue, my fiancé, didn’t introduce herself to my mom and bridesmaids, didn’t want to see my ring…. Just overall seemed incredibly disinterested and even inconvenienced by us being there. Some of the dresses were pretty but her attitude made it seem like all of this was below her and it nearly had me in tears and made me feel extremely self-conscious. I understand more than most that you never know what someone is going through or what kind of day they’re having, but in this kind of sales environment where you’re assisting clients with an extremely important, expensive, and emotionally charged purchase, you have to have the self awareness to leave your personal stuff at the door instead of offering subpar service.

One additional note on the bridal centre in general - I am a size 4. How is it that several of the sample gowns were so tight that I could barely squeeze into them? My hips are 36 inches, this should not be a problem. Average and above-average sized brides, take note.

Finally - the space is beautiful, yes. But is it worth being made to feel like you’re not important/good enough to shop there? My advice is to go somewhere less pretentious where the consultants are genuinely invested in helping you find the perfect dress and making you feel stunning and empowered and valued from the moment you walk through their doors (FYI, Durand Bridal was sensational and that’s where I ended up finding my dress!).

Amazing experience! We rented suit packages for the groomsmen (suit, shoes, ties) at the Bridal Centre. They had a range of styles and modern colour palettes, which was hard to find in rentals elsewhere. They were professional, knowledgeable and super helpful throughout the process, and the suits fit really well! Would definitely recommend the Bridal Centre for rentals!

I had a wonderful, warm experience here. I didn't feel pressured into exceeding my budget and was not shown any dresses that would not arrive well before our date. Would highly recommend!

My experience here was stellar. Staff were welcoming and very knowledgeable. Huge selection. Classy interior. Dresses stunning.

A couple things to share… We didn’t get to go around and look for our own dresses. I can understand why; the store had the biggest selection I’ve seen. However, the one we loved best was one that we had eyed on the way in. I will say that Brit was attentive and pulled options very attuned to what we liked/disliked.

I do wish the pricing was more transparent. Since we didn’t pull our own dresses, we didn’t see the prices until the dresses came to us, and the writing on the tags was tiny. Most of the dresses were around $1500, with some between $2500-3000. They offered great discounts on sample dresses, though.

Overall, this was easily the most elegant place we shopped. I would definitely recommend this place for an uncertain or new bride, or one who needs more options!

I had a 2 hour appointment, and I'm glad I did. They had quite a few dresses that matched my quite specific wishlist. My mom ended up finding the dress I really liked that was just outside the size range that my consultant was looking in, but at least we found it. I liked that they let my mom look around herself

I had a fantastic dressing shopping experience with Nicole! She helped me try on lots of different dresses in different styles - all that fit me and were unique and special. I ended up picking a gorgeous and unconventional dress that I love - it was an awesome day!:)

I recently bought my dress at Bridal Centre and am so glad that it was my first appointment. I had an amazing experience and the staff that helped me was so lovely, she genuinely seemed to love her job and did a great job of it!

From the start of communication, The Bridal Centre Calgary was wonderful. They respond quickly to questions and are really informative. I had fantastic service from my consultant Nicole. She was so great and patient with me. Supportive and kind when I was torn with my decision. I recommend them 100%

Truly a disappointing experience. This was my first appointment in my search of shopping for my wedding dress and I left feeling very defeated, awkward and unhopeful. To start, the staff are not overly welcoming, I was very excited for this experience with my small entourage who joined me for my appointment but found everything about my experience a let down. The person helping me had an assistant and I thoroughly would have enjoyed my time better if the assistant had taken over as she was lovely! She was dressed to impress, where the supervisor training her was not, (wrinkled shirt, no heels, messy hair) this did not make me want to drop thousands of dollars as the quality of what the staff put into their looks did not give me confidence my dress would get taken proper care of in their hands. Secondly, their rooms at literally all in the open so it is extremely public to come out in the dress and not have any privacy and this was the only bridal centre I experienced this with - on top of them forcing you to pay for your appointment which is a large deterrent to begin with. Lastly, I am a very SMALL frame like bridal size 4, street size 0-2 and I found every dress they put me in was not only much too large (I expected to need pinned) but the dressed were all size 10-12 which warped a lot of the shape - telling me to "use my imagination" is not enough for me to feel comfortable putting a deposit on a dress of that cost when I cannot see a proper image of myself in it. Their quality of dresses as well are very old, dated, and HEAVY HEAVY material which was not comfortable at all. I did have a style I was looking at with sleeves however I tried this kind of dress on at other boutiques with no issue on the weight of the dress. Their stock is clearly not up to date. It did not help that you also were not allowed to pick out any dresses of your own as that is a very enjoyable part I found at other places I went. Overall it just was not a personable or enjoyable time and I have mentioned all my friends and newly engaged clients to avoid at all costs as there are such better places in Calgary that here and to not waste their time.

Cecilia was fantastic, I loved working with her! She's so lovely and somehow new what I was looking for without me even fully knowing myself. Cecilia made the whole experience so special and easy! I'd definitely recommend anyone to come here for your dress, and work with Cecilia! She's amazing!

I had Cecilia as my bridal stylist, and she was amazing. She genuinely listened to me, and incorporated my feedback into her dress selections for me. She made my first wedding dress shopping experience absolutely amazing. I never felt pressured. She gave great advice, was very professional, was kind and personable, made me feel beautiful, and it was the best experience ever. I went to 2 additional stores, but ended up coming back to see Cecilia because she found my perfect dress and was an absolute pleasure to work with.

The Bridal Centre is the place in Calgary to look for your wedding dress. The staff is super friendly and always helpful. There's lots of different selection for dresses at a wide variety of price points, and they were always extremely accommodating when I had special requests. They also have an awesome alterations department - could not recommend them enough!

I had a wonderful experience with The Bridal Centre. They fit me in with an appointment the week of so my Mom who was flying in could be there with me to try on wedding dresses. Cecilia was so warm and inviting and she had pulled some amazing dresses based on my preference, size, price point, and availability. I only had 3 months until my wedding so I knew finding a dress in time was going to be a challenge, but Cecilia made my dream dress happen and it just arrived last week. When I picked it up another consultant Celine helped me try it on and she was so wonderful as well! I would definitely recommend shopping at The Bridal Centre! Friendly staff, rented a suit for a wedding party. Explained how on Monday the return date that I had to use the tux door. Everything was clear and the suit fit perfectly when I picked it up.

Only flaw would be the shirt being sweat stained (white) but was def clean, not much they’d could do about it.

I had an absolutely lovely experience at The Bridal Center. Brittany was an amazing stylist and pulled some very unique beautiful gowns. I love the space, the pedestal/dressing room is genius and the natural light is incredible. I would have loved to have found my gown here but ultimately ended up finding it at Blush & Raven. Would highly recommend this store for any bride!

Such a wonderful experience! I was nervous coming in to try on wedding dresses for the first time, but they made me feel so comfortable and honed right in on what I was looking for! Couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

My bridal shopping experience was second to none! Firstly, being greeted by friendly and professional staff and a beautiful salon, made me feel so excited! My stylist - although I cannot remember her name - was incredible! She was thoughtful and kind. She listened to me and my brother as we talked about our lives and ideas for my wedding day, and she pulled some exquisite gowns that were exactly what I was looking for and completely different from what I asked - but I also loved! I found my bridal gown during my first appointment, and I wish I could relive the appointment over and over. The salon had so many great options and unique dresses for all body types and styles. 10/10 recommend going to the Bridal Centre before any other salon!

Our attendant was very knowledgeable and patient and ensured we were given lots of options to consider for our dress fittings. She was attentive to when we were needing to clip the dress in to ensure we felt good in the dress we were trying on and was ready to unclio when it was time for the next dress. The time flew by quick and she was attentive to the time to ensure we were mindful of our choices and didn't get boggle down with more options (there's so many choices to choose from!). Also might I add that there's an option for champagne to add to the fun of free shopping?

I felt so comfortable at the Bridal Centre with my consultant Cecilia. She was kind, patient, and reassuring - exactly the kind of person you want helping you on your special day. I would highly recommend.

This place is next level among all the bridal shops. I do suggest this place. Their staff are very professional. Britt helped us and she was very nice, friendly and professional. Hallie was also very helpful. Great job guys and we finally picked a dress from this shop.

After 3 stores telling my fiancé they don’t have anything for him to try on we came across the bridal center.not only was it a beautiful store but they actually had something for the grooms that was an experience not just a store. Paige was amazing, had all the answers to our questions and had no problem letting us try different styles!

The bridal centre fit my husband and I in our suits for our wedding. Chantel was incredible and took such pride in her work working through every detail of our custom suits. She is so passionate about her job and made our experience so memorable.

Cecilia was great to work with. She pulled a lot of options for me to try and we were able to quickly narrow down the style and selection. She provided candid feedback on how something would look with alterations. This was an enjoyable, stress free experience for me.

Cecilia was the sweetest and most knowledgeable bridal consultant I had during my dress shopping experience. She always knew how to pull dresses in my style while still making each of them so different and with varying focal features so I knew exactly what I wanted. The store was so accommodating and we were able to stay longer then my time slot to really soak in the whole experience. So glad I said yes to my dress!

I had a bridal gown consultation with Diana and it was absolutely wonderful! The selection was fantastic, Diana was really friendly and helpful and the store is beautiful! I ended up finding my dress here and would highly recommend it to my friends and family!

Not a body positive place at all.
This place is not plus size or even slightly bigger girl friendly. Bridesmaid dress to try on are size 10 at the largest which I find uninviting and honestly a bit rude.
I've had 2 bad experiences here, both I was barely paid attention too.
They held me into a dress so that I couldn't breath and then said id look good in to.
I hope they get larger sizes to try on soon because this is not a body positive place.

I want to commend Cecilia for the wonderful help and attention she gave to my daughter as well as my sister and mother who came to the appointment a week ago. She is a warm, patient and all-round lovely soul who made the whole experience an absolute pleasure - and my daughter found the perfect dress!

Excellent experience - easy and not stressful at all! I’m not a big shopper and was a bit nervous, but our consultant took away all the stress! Diana was just so lovely and knew exactly what to pick!

I bought a dress from somewhere else and decided it wasn't "the one. " Cecilia made me feel so comfortable and at ease during my appointment, she was so easy to talk to and really receptive. I ended up going back for a second appointment as I wanted to be sure this was the dress for sure, and she was really understanding about my hesitation. I also emailed the Bridal Centre a few times with questions about potential alteration options and they were always SO fast and helpful in their responses. They reached out to the designer multiple times on my behalf to see what options were available. I can't speak to their selection as I went in with a specific dress in mind but I would recommend the Bridal Centre to anyone, great experience and fantastic customer service.

Had the most incredible experience today at the Bridal Centre! My whole family surprised me by booking an appointment because my sister (and Maid of Honour) specially came home to take part. Cecilia kindly supported me through the whole process and was outstanding! I have a very vocal family that can be difficult to rein in at times but she made sure I was the #1 priority the whole time! I’m shocked how she found the perfect array of dresses for me to try on - and really focused on what I liked and built off of that. Even more shockingly, she gently encouraged me to try on a gown very different from my selection (just to make sure I wouldn’t feel any dress regret!) and I found the one. I knew right away there was something magical, romantic and mature about the gown and was exactly what I had been searching for all along! The rest of the process was so smooth, instructions were simple but thorough, and at the end of the day, I left the happiest bride in the world. Thank you SO much!

Cecilia was absolutely amazing! My bridal party and I went in with vague ideas of what I was looking for and honestly by the second dress she had found exactly what I pictured for our big day! She was so helpful and accommodating to our big personality group and we left the appointment absolutely thrilled and proceeded to recommend her to all the other brides we know!
