Great food and service! The only down side was we were rushed to leave. Servers came and took away items on the table.

We love the breakfast at brokin’ yolk. I always order the sous vide chicken poutine where the chicken is very tender and comes with a tasty garlic chicken gravy. Eggs are poached to perfection. My partner usually gets the Bro’s Breakfast which is his favourite. Prices are very reasonable for the quality and portion. Our waiter was very professional and friendly, always topping up our bottomless coffee.

Only suggestion is when we came here recently, we were seated neck to neck with adjacent tables without barriers and the kid beside us was constantly coughing/ sneezing. We were a bit uncomfortable given the covid pandemic and omicron variant and hope the restaurant will adopt more preventative measures to ensure safe dining in experiences.

We have visited Bro'Kin Yolk probably five times now and it is sadly, consistently just OK. Full stars for friendly staff, flavourful coffee, and fresh ingredients, but these guys can't seem to hit the mark when it comes to the execution of the food. Each time it is bland and underseasoned. I'm not talking about salt, but any real flavour. I prefer onions in my breakfast to be sweated / sauteed / caramelized, not slightly raw and in chunks too big to eat. This last visit was particularly disappointing as the potatoes were cold and hollow having been cooked too long firstly and then left to sit and cool. I keep trying the restaurant hoping they will Improve, but I think I'm done. Too bad. I love the local business.

Love everything about this spot. Coffee tastes great, local food prepared very well. I had salmon eggs benedict with salad amazing. Hubby had farmers breakfast he loved it as well. Service was friendly and attentive.

Food was like ice, the chicken gravy tasted like flour and nothing else, fruit was moldy, bacon and hash were burnt, terrible service, had to wait an hour and a half for a table that we already reserved, ignoring our questions, undercooked the eggs, loud, denied us hot sauce when we asked saying "we're out" when I can see it on their trays with 5 other bottles, never coming back

Have been several times and have yet to have a bad meal here. The pork belly adobo is fantastic, and the short rib hash is amazing.
Excellent breakfast and brunch style food.
The reservation system works well.

Visited here a few years ago and I think they genuinely forgot to ask me to pay. I waited for a while and asked for the check several times but they never brought it to me I left a 20 on the table and got out of there but the food was delicious and I enjoyed it

This is the absolute BEST breakfast place. I live in saskatoon but visited here while in Calgary & this will now be a “must go to” every time i visit Calgary now, or anywhere near for that matter! I had the eggs Benedict and it was sooo good! Would definitely recommend this place to others!

Fantastic food and fantastic staff. Not much more to say. I have been here multiple times with friends, family, and for business brunches and The Bro’Kin Yolk is always great!

Different menu then the usual breakfast places. The staff is very nice and friendly. It's a busy place so it is advised to join the wait list if you are going on the weekend.

Music was loud to carry on a decent conversation. Maybe they did that to have a quick turn around. I feel like it is overrated. I had the pulled pork hash, but it wasn't something super special.
I just like the place because it has parking lot compared to other brunch places.
I still really don't like the wait list thing most brunch places do.

We were very lucky we were able to walk in and get a table. I suggest you use their website to reserve a table in advance. The food was fantastic and so was the service. I love chicken and waffles so I had to get them, I would give them a 4/5. They were pretty good. The location is nice and they have a good selection as you would expect from a breakfast/brunch joint. Next time I visit Calgary I will be back.

Was here this morning and had a really good experience. It wasn't busy and we got a reservation easily. The servers were amazing, and always came around to refill our coffee. The food was great too, we ordered the chicken & waffles and The Good Morning Museli. Food and portion size was good

It was very, very noisy. We could barely hear each other or even the waitress. I'd give her higher rating, she was very friendly. Food was only so so, especially for the price. $55 for 3 women

Have gone here a couple of times. Tried to love it but unfortunately always got my order wrong. Once my veggie fritata had bits of ham in it.another time the egg's whites were runny and cold.both times by the time they got me the correct order, rest of the party had finished their food so I ended up packing it to go. This place is super busy that sometimes they forget about you in the chaos.

Best breakfast place around! A skip the dishes driver stole our food (just never delivered it) and I called Brokin Yolk and they remade our food and had one of their employees drive it out to us. BEST customer service, amazing food.

What a great little place! I have heard of it but have not, until recently, had the opportunity to check it out.
It's not so big as to have a boxstore feel but not so small as to be squishy feeling. The decor is lovely and simple, especially the chicken pictures on the wall. Love it!
The food and service was spectacular. The folks there, like most places, are doing their absolute best with the circumstances given so, treat them well and tip them generously.

The food here has always been excellent and the service very quick and friendly. The queues for a table especially on weekends get very long, and you have to call in hours before if you hope to get a spot which is unfortunately the only way to do so. I hope they can implement some online method in the future.

Nice little place, cool vibe. Services was very prompt and the food arrived in a very reasonable amount of time. The presentation of the dish was nice also.

The reason I onky rated this place 3/5 stars unfortunately was the flavour, or more so the lack of.

The waffle idea for a benny is cool, but it needed to been cooked longer, especially considering the spinach on it, which was fairly watery and seemed to dilute the yolk.

The quality of the ingredients seems great, but overall I was expecting it to be more flavourful. Eggs Benny is one of my favourite dishes, but I don't think it eat this one again unfortunately. Coffee was quite bitter as well, not my preference, but I like cheap coffee to be honest.

Hasbrowns were bland also, it would have been nice to have a little seasoning or at least more salt on them.

Portions are huge and tasty. I would recommend sharing. Service was greT and the reservation system works for such a busy place. Prices are a little high but you do get cake for your money.

Delicious! Ordered the egg benny with the bacon, kids Mac and cheese and tomato soup. The waffle is such a great substitute for regular English muffin. The duck fat hash was quite dry but it went super well with the tomato soup I finished everything. The Mac and cheese though. WOW, wish I could make it like that at home thanks for the delicious breakfast!

Edit: ordered again this time with the salmon benny, definitely the best one yet. The wait was 107 minutes through a delivery partner which was disappointing, but from what I hear this place is packed to the rim with customers so the wait can be a while. The food arrived hot and fresh nonetheless:) worth the wait if you're not in a rush!

Waitress was amazing. I wish i had gotten her name. She laughed at my horrible joke made in response to listing the 3 different types of water offered to us, i said cold. My daughter rolled her eyes in embarrassment. The food was out quickly and it was AMAZING! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Will go back next time i am in Calgary

Be weary of they dinning time policy. We were not notified in advanced that we only had ONE HOUR dining time before they kicked us out. We didn’t even have a chance to finish our food when they took them away and asked us to pay because we “Already had one hour and 15 min to eat. ’ Which included our 20 min wait for food.
I understand that each restaurant has their own policies, but the customers should be notified in advance. If we have known, we would have picked a different restaurant.

A place like this is really a hit or a miss. I had high expectations as I had heard great things.yet I was not impressed. I always welcome new ideas and versions of classic dishes. However being in the industry I had to modify my meal to get what I actually wanted (And I know during a busy service this can be annoying for any chef). I ordered the upstream Benny. It was ok. They didn't have the classic English muffin.and we were given something glutten free (flavorless and over toasted). There was hardly any hollandaise sauce on the Benny and it just didn't do it for me. The service was great, and they seemed to have great friendly staff. May I suggest to the owners to have classic options as lots of the clientele were of all different ages. Keeping your dishes simple and delicious is the key. The eggs Benedict is a very popular dish for brunch. Let's keep it simple or at least as an option. I will definitely be back in hopes of a better food experience.other than this it was an over all decent time.

Placed an order for pick up and pick up time was 12: 11-12: 21. Our order was not given to us until after 1 pm. By the time I ate my food, there was no flavour on my benny, hash browns were dry and hard. You could tell our order was rushed which sucks because I eat here all the time and have never had this problem.

It was awful. They have asked us 3 times if we are ready to pay and leave. Ince we wwre still eating. I asked them if we can stay little bit so I can chat with my friend but they said that we stayed for 1 hour and because of waiting list, asked us to pay and leave. I put myself on the waiting list that was 15 mins and waited another 20min to get a seat. And they kicked us out because we stayed for an hour.

The salmon Sammy was more like a hint of salmon to for flavour and the amount of cream cheese felt more like a whisper in the ear when you cook for other chefs you get honest reviews get on your staff or change the price to be more honest I'd rather pay more than eat an insult

Going into eat is great how ever ordering food I must say they can do better.i ordered 4 different meals this morning and I wish I could post pictures of what I received for the money I spent I must must say I was unimpressed today to learn that your spending almost $20 a plate and you only get 1oz shot of Hollandaise sauce with your meal. I ordered 2 breakfast poutines this morning and I laughed at the amount of sauce that was given so the quality from taking out and eating in are 2 different experiences I do not recommend ordering from here

The Yolk is one of those lovely places with lovely people that make you feel great. In the before times, the atmosphere and the staff made it feel like a special visit.

And somehow they pull it off still in the take out only times. Thank you for breakfast, thank you for the notes. Thank you for the smile. Oh, and thank you for the 12 mins of quiet while my kids ate all the bacon and finished the fruit smoothie we were supposed to share.:)

Order was more than an hour late. Customer Service is pathetic. Staff iwas very rude. Really disappointed. They never bothered to apologize. Will stop visiting this Bro'Kin Yolk Creekside Location.

The wait list option makes this one of my favourite places to go. No waiting around and the food is always amazing. Some of the best hash browns in the city!

I've loved going to this place since forever ago, and I will always love going here. They have fantastic food and their staff are some of the friendliest people on earth.

This place is my favorite place for best breakfast brunch. Love there spam and rice item me and my son always get this when we are here, To bad they don't open longer hours

Love this place! Maria is a gem, love seeing her smiling face every time i come in. I have had the pleasure of dealing with Maria and Vanessa and both of them are such a joy! Always making me and my famiy feel welcome, always ensuring we are taken care of. Great hire on both of these girls. All the staff is amazing, i feel like i am home when I visit the Yolk, such a family feel, so much love, and these girls are a huge part of that! Well done can't wait to dine in again very soon (fingers crossed)

Great spot for breakfast and brunch. Service is always amazing and food is delicious. My go-to is the Bros Breakfast but their entire menu is delicious. Can't wait for dine in to resume! But amazing that you can take out as well as do Skip for delivery.

I've been coming here on a regular basis since they opened. The food is cooked with care, the menu has something for everyone and the staff are all on the same page when it comes to delivering a high quality service.

I ordered skip the dishes from you guys and it was by far the best breakfest experience I've had. Hashbrowns weren't soggy, eggs were good, sausage and bacon A+.

I had some bad experience today, The manager doesn't seem to treat us well, Totally understand that this time is COVID-19 but we're there for 6 including the kids. The waitress took us to the table and I believe she's the manager came and ask us with a mean tone state that one of us have to leave but the waitress didn't tell us before that. The waitress she's very nice and I think the manager can be improve by just work a bit harder and look at her waitress for a good work ethic, Foods is not that fresh. We will not go back there again.

We’ve ordered here a few times throughout the pandemic and they’ve been consistent in taste, portion size and quality of food. We especially love the little messages that they leave on top of the take out boxes. They really cheer you up!

Amazing food, friendly staff & a safe place to go during the current pandemic. From the in house prepared bacon, to the duck fat potatoes, I've never had a bad experience here. The simple fact that my eggs are always perfectly cooked, and the yolks have that amazing orange color (the more orange your yolk, the better the health & diet that the chickens are being provided) that tells me the level to which they pay attention to their food quality & sourcing. My favorite go to place for breakfast in the North.

One of my favorite places for brunch. They're fried chicken breakfast poutine is the best. Their coffee blend also happens to be a favorite of mine. The staff are always super friendly. 10/10 recommend!

Somehow we've never been here in the 4 years this place has been open. This place was excellent! Easily this is one of the best breakfast places in Calgary

Freshest local ingredients, unique takes on breakfast food, everything on the menu is delicious. Service is great. Ambience is comfortable and not too noisy. Really deserves 4.5 stars as the only knocks on this are: portions are tiny and it is a bit pricey.

Yum! Talk about a great breakfast place. I had the veggie eggs Benny and it was absolutely delicious. Our server was so lovely and personable as well. Will definitely be back:)

Food was really good. Had the Mrs Veggie Frittata and it was really good. Wish I would have tried the waffles because they looked delicious! Staff was very friendly and helpful as well. Price wise it was ok but maybe slightly on the expensive side (but keep in mind I'm a student with no money). Definitely recommend though

Food and staff are amazing, however have to give it 4 stars based purely on how overly busy they are and that they can't accomodate demand. 9am or later is typically a 2hr wait and when they're busy, the small size makes it really noisy and crowded

Hands down my favorite breakfast place. I've only been once and it was amazing. The food and customer service couldn't be better. We waited about 10-15 min for our table and we were given complementary waffles for waiting. Loved the atmosphere and would totally recommend this place to anyone!

Just went this morning for breakfast and like the rest of the reviews say, it was fantastic. Great atmosphere, exceptional service and delicious menu! We called ahead to get on the waitlist and were seated as soon as we arrived. We watched the folks waiting to be seated being served complimentary treats. Highly recommend. We'll be back

The greeting hostess was very personable, and welcoming. She assured the comfort until we got a table, and offered us complimentary coffee during that time. It is a very us place, our wait time was 30 minutes, but we were contacted via text, which was nice because we didn't have to wait in the restaurant.

The food was delicious, and served was efficient and kind. I enjoyed the apple juice as well, it was tasty:).

I gave 4 stars because I didn't enjoy the potatoes/hashbrowns, they were dry and too salty.

I will definitively be visiting again:).

Great food, never a let down. Call in before you go to get your name in the wait list! Waiting at the door can be a very lengthy process as they are quite popular, call in before hand and you will save yourself the time! Did and drinks are equally great and I suggest ordering something different every time you go

Didn’t really get what all the hype was about Brokin Yolk. Not only is it borderline impossible to get a table at this place with their weird reservation system, but it’s really not all that worth waiting on. The food is the same you can get at similar breakfast places, there’s not much of a selection anyways unless you went there for chicken and waffles. Service was okay, nothing special or out of the ordinary. Went on a Sunday morning with friends and our server was prompt in clearing out our plates from in front of us when we were barely done and it felt like she was rushing us out the restaurant. I get it, you’re busy, but we’d like to finish our cups of coffee and juice over a nice conversation on a Sunday.

I'm a little disappointed after hearing how great this place was supposed to be. I arrived 10 minutes before our groups meeting time to get on the waitlist, and before they put my name down, they asked how long it would be before the other members of my group would arrive. I can understand asking that, but as there was no one behind me, I found it a bit rude. The food was really good, the presentation was overwhelmingly meh. The server came by and ask to clear our plates when there was still food on them and we were clearly still eating. It felt very rushed, which is not my idea of a good brunch place!

The food was good. The wait was not. I thought we were patient to have waited for 2 hours and 15min through the phone app and arrived accordingly. When we got there, we were still standing at the door after 15 min passed. We went up to check on our table and the mgr went, "Well, it was ONLY TWO AND A HALF HOURS". Wow, talk abt attitude! We were obviously upset. He tried to make it up for us and offered a couple slices of waffle to our table. But seriously, not until they have a reliable reservation system and a more acceptable wait time, I'm not planning to go back.

Bro'kin yolk is just amazing. Stop reading and just go.

The *only* minor downside here (and I hate to say anything negative about this place) is the food smell. They have an open kitchen which is visually and functionally great but the odor in my clothes keeps me from coming back more often.

This place is busy for a reason! Service was personal and prompt. The food selection features some traditional and non-traditional choices. We got the pork belly adobo- definitely the breakfast of champions.

Took family for first time. Awesome and quick service, great staff very good environment. Food was delicious. Perfect breakfast place with family, work meetings or even with friends. Our friends were visiting from BC even loved it. Would highly recommend this place. Will be going again for sure.

This is a restaurant with extreme character and charm. Featured on you gotta eat here, everything is fresh and completely flavourful. The coffee is great and the wait staff is friendly. Make sure to call 2 hours in advance on the weekend!

Went there for a photo shoot, and the staff were very accommodating! We ordered the avocado toast and it looked great! If you're in the area and are looking for great breakfast/lunch spot, you should check this place out

Great food! The price is reasonable for the tasty meal you get. I sat by the bar and I got to see how they prepare their meal, everything is freshly made and customer service is exceptional:) I would come back again!

The restaurant is clean, the staff was amazing and friendly, as well the ingredients all looked fresh. With that said, this place just wasn’t for us. The food was good, but everything had a taste of added sugar? ! I would still suggest it to family and friends however myself, I wouldn’t eat there again.

Upon arrival they said they would call us when a seat became available. The girl misheard a number in the phone number
So of course we didnt get a call. Upon our return they were quick to apologize and got us a table right away.
Our meals were delicious. My son had the the Bacon Benny. It came on a vanilla waffle with maple bacon which was a nice twist. It was topped off with hash brown squares.
I ordered the Vegan Hash. It was healthy and nice and filling. It came with a variety of veggies, tofu and the hash brown squares. We'll be back.

Excellent food, large portions and good service. Price was decent, however we had to wait around 45mins just for a seat at the bar - which was fine. Great views of the food being cooked as its an open kitchen. Suggest to call ahead and make a reservation.

The staff at BY are excellent and you can tell they take great pride in the place which translates into amazing food and service. Short rib hash is a must.

The cutest little breakfast place! Its always busy, but still feels welcoming, with friendly service. Would highly recommend the vegan hash and the Nutella hot chocolate (not sure if there a vegan hot chocolate option, but I wish there was!)

Food was mehhh, bacon tasted like jerky. Portions were small and overpriced. Place is small and loud, cooks yelling behind the counter. Nothing special here, I'm not understanding the rave reviews. No one even checked on us after receiving our meals. Won't be back. Booo!

Absolutely superstar breakfast place with insane waits. Call early to get on the list. Kid french toast was amazing as was the breakfast sandwich that my wife had. Loved the fizzy water too.the truffle poutine was just stinky enough, it was a perfect flavour bomb. Definitely worth trying out at least once.

I always get a Benedict, my favourite is usually the upstream Benny. It’s delicious.

The way they do their hash browns are good, when I first started going there, it felt better than how they do it now. Not sure what changed but it still tastes very yummy!

Their bacon and sausage are to die for! The way they make them is very unique, both in taste, shape and texture.

I will admit that sitting outside can be very hot in summer, and it would nice if they had some umbrellas for some shade. I would opt to sit inside on a sunny day.

Can’t wait to come back again.
