My son ordered bacon wrapped jalapeños and Mac and cheese. Both were really good. The Mac and cheese was a larger portion than it's counterpart at BP's and had more cheese. He was satisfied.
I ordered beef dip. It was tasty, however one quarter of the beef sandwich was completely void of beef. Au jus was good. Just a personal preference, but mushy crinkle cut fries aren't my thing. A crisp shoestring would be better IMHO. The side of gravy was bland, but fixing that isn't hard. Just gotta care more in the kitchen. Our service was great, except it shouldnt take 15 minutes to get a pop refill, especially when it wasn't that busy.
I called in and asked about gluten-free options, was told "absolutely anything can be made gluten-free". We get there and this isn't the case at all. As well, it's just about $3 for a bun, and the "crunchy Buffalo chicken burger" isn't breaded. It's a piece of chicken coated in Buffalo sauce (for over $24). Either have the server explain what people don't get or have a separate menu/section stating what is gluten-free and how it's different than the regular items. Tried to have a nice Birthday meal for my celiac Dad (and celiac kid) and left disappointed af. Also, when making a reservation, I was asked what special occasion it was, put in birthday but the only "gf treat" available was a shot or cotton candy. From the earlier call, I assumed he could have something (I definitely would have paid for it too)
It was my first time trying their challenge burger. And oh boy, it was really a feast. That burger alone can feed 2-3 person. It got 6 patties and cheese in between with bacon and mushroom on top. The poutine was good too and I like their gravy. Definitely worth the money if you wanna share it with friends. Just buy it as a regular order.
It was a challenge burger so if you can finish the burger and the poutine in an hour, it’s free.
Ally was amazing! She made the meal so much more fun and was so sociable! I’ve never felt so welcomed at a restaurant. The atmosphere was so fun and just made our night. The place to go for a night out!
Standard sports bar. They seem to have whatever big game is on playing on the main tv and then multiple other sports on tvs. Food is standard, nothing crazy special but good. Very loud so be aware.
Appy portions were substantial. I was a bit disappointed with a name like Canadian Brewhouse that they don't have their own line of beer or even offer up much for local beers.
Meal was OK. Server had a decent attitude and tried to remedy a situation with the pop but also argued with us. Pop from bar was flat completely! So a can of soda was brought. It was so stale and the Expiry on bottom was 2022. Just left the issue and honestly probably won't return.
Went for a Birthday dinner, What a waste of money. Food quality is horrific for the money. I strongly suggest if you come here just drink the beer.
And the attitude from the wait staff was telling of the rot that's happening.
In closing if you believe some of these reviews are real you need to look a little harder.
- Wow, Ordered take out and what a disappointing show of poor food quality and portion size. Actually quite comical. $111 for some bread and handful of dry ribs etc. The "Platter". Pay attention to what's happening. I wish I had taken a picture.
They see their opportunity to blame inflation as an excuse for raising their prices above the increase in costs.
The Canadian Brewhouse is definitely the place to be! With great service from Emma, you are ensured to have a great night! This Lady works very hard to keep your drink topped up, and her service is very top notch! She provides the hospitality it takes to enjoy your night and feel at home. Thank you Emma and Canadian Brewhouse!
