Packed, Stacked and All that. Tons of trinkets and things. Looks like the owner travels around garage sales and picks up goodies to resell in the store. Some things are decently priced while others are a bit in the wild side. Just because it's old does not mean it's worth $$ just be careful. And of course the candy selection is BEYOND crazy, they certainly do their homework. Definitely a place to go if your in this area of the province!
If you are driving through Nanton or any where near it, you need to stop at the Candy Store. You could spend a lot of time in here buying candy. 100s and 100s of choices. Lots of childhood memories. There is also an area of antiques and puzzles and an Ice Cream shop.
An adorable shop that hires the youth of the small town where it is located, The Candy store has something for everyone. From classic fudge to Extreme sour candy and TikTok finds, to lovely antiques, I enjoyed my stop here today and will definitely stop again!
Always enjoyable visiting here! A great selection of nostalgic treats, plus new things. Pricing is a bit high, but to be expected. The antique side is also a great trip down memory lane!
Love, love, love this store. The staff are amazing and go up and beyond to help you out. Lots of choice from candies around the world. Lots of GF choices such as a red licorice called "Pink Cadillac ". Will be returning very soon:)
5 stars just for the penny candy - it’s always fresh and they have an insane selection. Always worth a trip to Nanton just to visit here. Oh, they also have Vanilla Coke and Pineapple Fanta which nobody carries anywhere.
Enjoy a nice afternoon drive followed up by the best candy selection around. Top it off with a really delicious ice cream cone and make sure you try their delicious waffle cones. I'd also recommend you stop off at the park or air museum while you're in Nanton.
Read through the reviews, this isn’t an isolated occurrence. A staff member yelled at a little girl and made her cry. The parents were unable to reason with the staff. People who can’t tolerate normal child behaviour shouldn’t run candy/toy stores. My family will never go to this candy store again. I’d give them zero stars if I could.
This place has excellent ice cream and salt water taffy’s, wish we had bought more of the watermelon and mango chilli taffy. Prices are very reasonable as well! We stopped on our way back from camping on a very hot Sunday afternoon! I loved the sugar free cappuccino ice cream!
Pro tip: use the sidewalk ice cream ordering window for faster service!
What a fun day trip. The best selection of candy I’ve seen in a long time. I stuck with the penny candy and a bag of All Sorts from England. My friend found some Dutch treats. Go early in the day. It apparently gets busier as the day goes on.
