The Cave Sauna Day Spa

The spa is absolutely beautiful.   I truly enjoyed my visit, and I am looking forward to returning.   Be prepared for a very small but adorable change room.

Been before and had a lovely time - everything was explained well and we were made to feel at home.
This time was a different experience.
We were asked if we had been there before and my wife and I stated yes, although it was quite a while ago. Rather then go through how it works with us the lady at the counter assumed we knew what we were doing and sent us through. After enjoying the saunas in any order we pleased, we decided to finish our experience in the “Finnish” sauna.
The lady from the front was cleaning and opened the door stating “usually people finish their time on the other side, so I can clean this side before the next group arrives”, then closed the door and seemed to not acknowledge our existence after that point.
We felt as though we had inconvenienced the worker because we did not remember the “order” since our last visit.
Frankly, this wrecked our whole 2 hour experience and I don’t think we will be back for a while.
Beautiful facilities - unfortunate that we inconvenienced the cleaning work and felt rushed out of the facilities.

Every time we come we have an exceptional experience. The best priced spa I have been too.

There is a reason they have a lot of reoccurring business. Cant beat this place!

The full body massage chairs were really relaxing with the lights in the room on the ceiling.

I am a repeat customer here and love it more every time I go.
Its an amazing place to relax and disconnect for 2 hrs. The staff is super friendly and kind.
Highly suggest you try it if you haven't.

What an awesome experience! I have never been to a place so with many different saunas/steam rooms before so I came in with little expectations. I left so relaxed and feeling good!

We had a group of 10 there for 2 hours for a cost of $44 per person. Everyone really enjoyed it. I particularly enjoyed the hot Finnish sauna and cold bath.

One of the biggest things I noticed about the place was it was sparkling clean! They really do a good job making sure you feel comfortable and relaxed.

I can’t wait come again someday soon!

What a lovely find in Cochrane! The spa is beautiful and cozy. I also loved the fragrances/oils they used there. The saunas and hammams range in side and can accommodate 2-5 guests. It's a quiet and tranquil place with plenty of rest spots and massage chairs. The only reason for not giving them the full 5* is the small change room - two showers and one toilet stall. No dedicated change room for privacy. So you either need to get changed in the toilet stall or be comfortable with whoever else is using the space at the same time as you.

Lots of different sauna's. Relaxing environment. You can book private session with a party of 4 ppl which is a nice option. Affordable and friendly staff. Very clean facility

The area itself is lovely, extremely clean and has such an amazing air of luxury and healing. I really enjoyed the space.

However, we had the unfortunate experience of being grouped with a family who had no respect for the fact this was a spa, not a café. They yelled from one side to the other and made the experience significantly less enjoyable. There needs to be "please be quiet/respectful" signs and ideally, the staff should intervene before being asked to do so. For my part, I should have asked for them to deal with the family sooner, but the staff member was around periodically and was hearing the same things we were.

Otherwise, really well thought out experience and we really enjoyed how many different areas there were to enjoy; thankfully we were never forced to share an immediate space with that family. The staff member mentioned above was also very sweet and once asked, jumped right to the issue.

Always come back, the best European spa with every small touch of detail. Doesn’t get better, 6/5 stars if I could.

Didn't know what to expect as I'd never been to a spa. Called a head to ask what I do there and was just got told "we have steam rooms saunas and relaxation rooms" but when I asked so what do I do in them they just repeated themselves without explanation as to what you do in these rooms. The place is lovely enough. Couldn't hear the lady give the tour as she just spoke far too quite. As we entered the previous group was leaving. There was no wiping down of the facilities in between groups. The change rooms also need a thorough cleaning. Dust everywhere door frames and high touch areas cover in drips and fingerprints with gobs of hair in the shower. A place like this I expect a higher standard of cleanliness. The full body massage chairs are not very good and it's difficult to operate them as it's so dark in the room you can read the remote. The shower massage was super weak so no massage. Not enough cool off things just a cold bucket dumped on your head. The plunge wasn't operational when I was there. Couldn't go into herbal inhalation room as the seats were too hot to sit on.

I love the dry sauna and the salt steam room. The tepid relaxation room was lovely except it needs to be more sound proof as I could hear the people talking in the massage chair room.

A very nice little spa. We enjoyed all of the different saunas and other rooms. We would definitely attend again

Loved the experience. However I felt very rushed to leave as they only give you 10 minutes to change out per the signs in the washrooms.

Came here for my boyfriend and I’s anniversary and it was absolutely phenomenal! All the steam/sauna rooms are amazing and we left feeling like new people. I definitely recommend this to anyone and everyone!

Highly recommend, I don't even think I had my mind that clear and relaxed ever! Loved all the rooms and the cold shower drop, def recommend a visit, will be back soon

Amazing experience I had at The Cave. We arrived a bit late for our appointment and they were so understanding and still granted us the full time we paid for. Spa was so clean from the entrance, the change rooms to each room in the spa. They also have quite a few amenities in case there is anything you forget. I would suggest bringing your own towel because my girlfriend and I accidentally mixed ours up halfway through. It was so relaxing and the lighting and overall ambiance of the spa is so amazing. It was a new experience and I can not wait not only to go back but to gift this to other people that enjoy a good sauna. The price you pay for 2 hours is so reasonable, the time passed so slow! Thank you!

What a wonderful experience at the Cave. Had a private session for 2 people and had the place to ourselves for 2 hours! You can move freely between the rooms for as long as you want in each. The salt inhalation room and the eucalyptus steam room were are favorites but all the rooms were beyond any expectations. The staff member was so kind and very helpful. I've been telling everyone they need to come here. It is so worth it!

This is an awesome place to relax. I had a great experience, would certainly visit again and recommend to everyone I know.

This was a wonderful and relaxing way to spend time with my Mom. We had no idea what to expect and it was ahhhhhh-mazing. We were able to book a private session so it was a real treat to be alone. There are verious saunas and steam rooms as well as very nice relaxation rooms. It was very clean. The staff were very kind and helpful. This is definitely a gem of an oasis and if you were even thinking of checking it out, you absolutely must! I can't wait to go back.

Did not get a chance to experience. Wish there was a 0 option. Wanted to buy a gift card for someone and was not allowed to buy a general gift card. I had to select what they would want! Disgusting and extremely poor customer service. Owner not available. If this is any insight as to their customer service, stay far far away. I rarely post reviews. If you don’t believe me try to buy a gift card where the recipient can choose what services they want!

There are many different options and I tried them all except the cold bucket dump and instead opted to cool off by rubbing ice cubes where I could stand it. I enjoyed everything about it, the surroundings with low but adequate lighting, the soft relaxing music and alternating between various saunas and steam rooms and cooling down in rain or massage shower.so beneficial and relaxing! My fave was the eucalyptus steam room. Staff is most pleasant and helpful. Will definitely go again and this time with a friend!

Today was my second visit to The Cave. I came on my own for a private session because of Covid protocols. It was wonderful. The facility is extremely clean and well-maintained. The environment is so beautiful with every room having its own character and décor. My favourite experiences are the Finnish sauna followed by the cold bucket splash, the Kneipp waterway, and the sea salt steam room. I like to end my visit in the Tepidarium. I'll be back! ~ Simone

My New Favourite! Even if we need to drive from Calgary! What a lovely find! I’m so happy we were able to spoil ourselves in private sessions and have the whole facility to ourselves! This is one of my favorite places in Alberta. I wish I could live inside this spa. Love the variety of rooms, it's a steal for the price.

The pictures you find online DO NOT do this place justice. You have to see it to believe it and really experience this amazing spa! There is so much detail put in here from the service to the decor, to the individual experience. I can’t wait to go back!

Really relaxing and interesting place. They have many different sauna/steam rooms. Stayed for 2hrs and we were feeling like jelly when we were done. We'll definitely go back for another detoxifying round

What a fun experience! So many rooms to enjoy. My only wish is that with it being my first time I had been given a tour or rundown of the place. I was with a large group though. Which seemed a lot to manage with us arriving all at once. Next time I would suggest getting there earlier than your group if your with one.

I dare you to find one thing wrong with this spa! It is absolutely AMAZING! Right from the moment you walk in you feet totally welcomed and relaxed! I HIGHLY recommend The Cave? The Eucalyptus Steam room was my favourite with a close runner up the Salt Steam.

Absolutely amazing place! Very European style of spa. Five small saunas and steam rooms, experience bucket shower, massage room, relax room. Never crowded - maximum 8 persons. Best spa in Calgary area! Definitely recommend!

The MOST AMAZING PLACE EVER.a well hidden secret worth every penny and then some. Adriana is so pleasant and the atmosphere has us coming back time and time again. Can’t say enough about this place!

The herbal sauna room smelled fantastic, and the salt steam room was one of my favourites. The spa is beautifully decorated inside too.

What a gem of a place in Cochrane! Very clean environment, warm cozy atmosphere and excellent, professional friendly service! This was our well deserved mommy's day out and our first visit to Cave Sauna Day Spa and we all left feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. We had booked a private group session a couple of months in advance and it was worth the wait! I also have to write about my embarrassing incident - I had accidentally broke a beautiful decorative piece and I wanted to pay for the damages, but the owner was so understanding and wouldn't accept my money. So I hope by posting my positive review, others can see how great the owner is and she deserves nothing but success for all her hard work! I can't wait for my next spa day! Xx
