The Dentists at Northgate

Not accommodating, I’m aware that I’m late but not by a lot and I called ahead and said I was running late and the receptionist said it’s okay she understands and she seen the traffic and for a first snow day everyone knows how the roads get. I get a call that they have to cancel the appointment when i already said that i took the day off of work to make the appointment. Don’t bother going there, also I had to cancel a previous appointment and got an attitude for it so I should’ve known not to go there again.

I went in for a same day emergency extraction. The pain was absolutely unbearable. J. C. (I hope I'm spelling their name right) and Dr. Moore were so comforting and reassuring; with Dr. Moore ensuring that I was prepared for the extraction both mentally and physically, but that even if I wasn't ready to have the procedure done, they would still find a way to work to make me feel better. I have never had a dentist take that kind of time to go over different scenarios and recovery times. I chose to have the procedure done because I was already in the chair and because I was made comfortable and felt my concerns were prioritized. I'm usually pretty anxious at the dentist and the needles are never my favourite. I was braced for ALL the pain when the needles came out. Especially because the whole right side of my mouth was inflamed and sitting at an 8 on the pain scale. Dr. Moore and J. C.worked quickly and efficiently, all the while checking in on me to see if I was alright. I previously had an issue with lock-jaw and expressed my fear that it would happen again. Dr. Moore assured me that it would be ok and then managed to pull out this already broken molar out of the back of my mouth without me having to risk my jaw locking in process. I am so glad I read the reviews and comments on this page because they were 100% correct. This visit left a great first impression and I will be moving our family to The Dentists at Northgate for all future appointments:)

Very patience, gentle, caring and understanding. They make u feel very comfortable from the time u walk in to the time you leave I will continue going here for as long as I have teeth lol

I had a good experience going here the first time last week. The hygienist was awesome and made sure to finish the cleaning and not have me come back for another appointment. The only weird thing was i had to hold the chairside suction (the one that suck extra saliva) compared to other dental places ive been where i didn't have to do that. Kinda wondering about sanitation. Anyway, the doctor was nice as well and very informative. I didn't feel like he was in a rush or something. I noticed there was a couple of names that was consistently mentioned on negative reviews here so to be fair i dont think i dealt with them during my visit so i can't really say if i just got lucky or the negative experience by other customers were just a one off thing. My personal experience was good and i think i found a new place for my teeth maintenance. I'll be coming back for sure.

Everyone we encountered from the receptionists & assistants to the Dentist himself were amazing. They all took the time to make my son feel comfortable before and after having all 4 wisdom teeth removed. It was a Saturday afternoon and we were given the dentists cell phone number and told to call over the weekend if we had any concerns. To me this was going above and beyond expectations.

They were very professional. The clinic was clean and people who worked there were nice and accommodating.

I was afraid to go because of how bad my teeth were. They were so nice and made me feel comfortable.

They couldn't figure out how to submit a claim to my insurance properly so instead of being offered assistance to solve the glitch, Savannah at the counter harrassed me verbally to pay the amount up front. I had to do everything myself. I will never set foot in this place again.

I had a great experience the other day with one of the nurses there. I had my teeth cleaned after a year; and the cleaning nurse gave me the best service ever from communication to performance. Real friendly staff they have to offer.

All the people at the dentists at Northgate are wonderful! They explain everything they're doing and make sure you're comfortable and at ease. I've always been treated with the utmost respect and kindness! They also give good reminders when it's time to see the dentist and I always get a lot of samples

When I came for my wisdom tooth extraction, I had some reservations due to past dental experience. But Dr. Moreira, his assistant, and the front staff all were professional, knowledgeable, and personable. You are in good hands at this clinic. They even let me keep my extracted teeth

I was referred here for a wisdom tooth removal and could not be happier with my experience. The office was very busy but the front end staff were friendly and efficient. Having a tooth removed is never an enjoyable experience but Dr Mueira was very reassuring explaining the procedure and what to expect. My tooth was removed so quickly I didn’t even realize it had happened, if it took more than a minute I would be surprised. After the removal they took the time to ensure I was well aware of all after care and what to do if I had any problems. There was a bit of confusion with my insurance but the issue was quickly resolved and I was on my way with the entire experience taking less than an hour.

My first time at this clinic and the experience has been great! I had to extract my wisdom tooth and with no coverage I thought I wouldn't be able to afford it. I had been to a different clinic previously and their quote shocked me. So I called The dentists at Northgate and MaryRose (super nice girl) she quickly booked me in with Doctor Mossa. They are very helpful, caring and listens to your problem. Doctor Mossa was very good and kind enough to give me discount so I could afford it. Thanks to the entire team:) Highly recommended!

The staff were friendly and accommodating, also the appointment was not uncomfortable at all. I would definitely recommend this clinic to friends and family members.

Dr. Moreira is an excellent dentist and surgeon, very knowledgeable, experienced and very friendly in his treatment.

The rest of staff were very nice though I had an odd experience dealing with “Tammy” the only receptionist who was rude, lacking the etiquette of questioning /requesting patient information.

As a follow up to my review, on December 2020 I have reached out to the clinic owner Dr. Rustom Appoo to file a complaint on a contradictory policies they follow.
The complaint was on an administrative policy that they give everyone first day to sign and an additional “non written”verbal policy they follow internally.these hidden policies were meant to maintain a fully busy clinic chairs, on the other hand you might be left on the chair waiting for the doctor sometimes between 20-30 min as doctors circulating and treating other patients. Unfortunately my concern was not addressed, and was totally ignored and they have offered moving my entire family files to other clinics though we were with them for more than two year.this led me to the conclusion that this clinic doesn’t follow Alberta health services values towards patients, they have more than enough customers and they can sacrifice some.my advice to everyone just be careful.

I had an appointment today at 2 pm as a new patient and I must say I am impressed.

My son fell on ice and ended up with a loose tooth, so I called “The Dentists at Northgate” the same day, and they were about to close, but they told me to bring him in anyway. Upon arrival, I noticed the facility was clean and we were greeted in a very friendly manner. Every single staff member that we were in contact with exceeded my expectations. My son needed to have the tooth removed and Dr. Churchill was excellent with him. We don’t reside Edmonton, but if we did my family definitely would choose “The Dentists at Northgate” to be our regular dentist. Thanks staff!

Called in the morning for a emergency and was able to get in the same day, this place has some awesome staff and doctors

The very friendly staff are always pleasant and helpful. Safety measures in place. The only thing I would change is you fill out paperwork online before your appointment and then you have another form to fill out at the office. Could they not both be online?

So I had to make another pit stop to The Dentists at Northgate. I saw Dr Sandu. What an amazing lady. And the assistant doing the pre check was equally as wonderful. I am recovering from recent open back surgery with spinal fusion and they were ultra accommodating and patient with me as walking is slow and sitting is a real feat right now.
From the moment I walked in the door I was put at ease by absolutely everyone from the front staff the my dr. I again cannot say enough good things about this dental office and would recommend 1000%! Love you guys
