And checked my gait with the existing
Orthotics!

I have seen two other podiatrist before coming here! And they weren’t as through
as Dr Kidanu!

Dr. Kidanu at the Lake Bonavista clinic is amazing! After two visits to urgent care and four visits to emergency for immense pain in some joints in my foot, she quickly suspected gout, treated it with a week of medication, and after 1.5 months of pain I have regular mobility back! Not to mention, she is highly personable and has such a positive demeanour!

I have been coming to Dr Lehr for 16 years for orthotics. He has helped with my flat feet. The same staff has been there for almost as long and they are friendly and always helpful.

I went to Foot Institute for a fungus foot problem caused by improper sanitation at a prior nail salon.  It was easy to talk to Dr. Eleni, and she had the right answers to my problem. Thank you for caring.

Be cautious when you are making an initial appointment. Do not decide on Orthotics on the first visit unless you really need it and unless you know the details of your insurance coverage. The company has a $100.00 cancellation fee (even for immediate cancellation) that is not mentioned at all to you by the Podiatrist or the Person who takes your payment. They will point out to you that there is a sign in the clinic room about this cancellation policy.as if a person is supposed to read all the signs placed on the wall of clinic rooms. The company (as represented by the person I spoke with) insists on this cancellation fee despite the fact that there is no paperwork signed off by myself that indicates about this cancellation policy. The person I spoke with finally relented to refund the whole amount of the Orthotics but I will have to wait for 7-10 business days when I calmly pointed out this fact (I did not agree to this in writing) to her hence this practice of charging this cancellation policy is not a very ethical business practice and may even be bordering on improper/illegal.

Dr. Eleni Kidanu is great. Having worked with and around various doctors, I am always impressed with how she approaches her work. While other doctors seem focused on maximizing their efficiency and seeing as many patients as possible, Dr. Eleni Kidanu always focuses on the individual.

It's a shame that this business chooses to use a call center for bookings, as the staff who answer the phones and book appointments are rude & not helpful. Despite my initial phone experience being horrible, I booked my appointment anyways and wanted to give the clinic a chance as I saw the raving reviews about the staff and doctors. I was lost on my way to my appointment today, which I had no confirmation or reminder email/call/text for, so I tried to call to ask for directions. The clinic is in fact closed today for the holiday, which I found out through my phone attempt. I waited 2 weeks for this "appointment" and I can't say I will ever be booking with the foot institute ever again.

Went to get planter fasciitis addresses.

Did no treatment, X-ray or anything just offered 600$ orthotics. Was literally asked “do you want them or not”

Ended up getting orthotics. They did a scan with an iPad and it seemed very rushed. Got. Them within a couple weeks and was basically thrown the orthotics very little explanation.

Zero follow up. Feet still in pain.

Would never go back. They are more interested in the $600 then helping your feet.

What a great experience today with “The Foot Institute”. Dr. Jason was patient, down to earth, friendly and super energetic! He is obviously very knowledgeable in his field. I would recommend “ The Foot Institute” to anyone I know.

I went to ‘The Foot Institute’ for the treatment of a persistent ingrown toenail that I have had unsuccessful treatment for a number of times by a range of professionals. I decided I needed to see a specialist. Jason fit the bill and I was glad I decided to go for a consult. The practice is very professional and Jason was very supportive. Highly recommended.

Darren and his team and very professional and easy to get along with. They provide a fantastic service and provide for an easy experience. He is very easy to get along with and provides in-depth explanations about everything that will happen and is quite accommodating to special needs. Dr. Jason at Foot Institute was wonderful in explaining my foot problem, treating the stress fracture and helped me to complete my marathon while improving my running technique. Do not walk but run to have Dr. Jason treat your foot!

The office and staff are great. They take my fears and seem to calm them down. To early to tell if treatments are effective or not, but I have the confidence that the Doctor is doing the right thing at this point.

This place was bad from the beginning to the end. I went primarily to get orthotics with a lift as I have a 1" difference between leg length. When I requested a lift the doctor glanced at my legs and said my knees lined up so there's no difference in length. I decided to give orthotics a try for my foot deformity and when I went to pick them up I was rushed to fit them and It seemed they just wanted me out the door.

My mother in law was suffering from a wound on the foot since 2 years for which she was being treated at various hospitals. Two visits to Dr Jason and the wound has healed. He is truly the best foot doctor in Calgary. Thank you Dr.

Good if you want superficial service without detailed assessment. I didn’t feel well listened to, seemed they were most interested in my money. Didn’t help my foot pain.

The hours on their website are completly inaccurate. I've tried to go there twice now to pick up my orthotics and they were closed both times.

If you have made an appointment in this place make sure to clear your schedule for that day. Myself and another patient both walked away after around an hour of waiting.

I went there for a consult after waiting for 3 weeks. The receptionist was rude, immature and NOT professional. I waited just about 1 hour. I had made an appointment for 4: 00. My time is valuable and I would surround myself with competent people. This young lady needs an adjustment. I do not endorse bad behavior or poor service. I walked out. I am so glad I saved myself allot of money. I deserve respect and I deserve good service. I will not tolerate this and I want to warn others of this. Do not go to this establishment.

I went to my doctor because I was having pain in 2 toes walking any distance. My doctor suggested a podiatrist, so I booked the Foot Institute. The podiatrist said I need custom orthotics insoles after a few minutes of examination. The cost was $569 with a 3 week wait. This seemed expensive with a ridiculous wait time. I bought off the shelf Dr Scholls insoles at Walmart for less than $20 and my pain went away. When my custom orthotics did arrive, I put them in the shoes I wear the most. Since then I have learned that Dr Schools has machines in Calgary that can measure you for custom orthotics and you can buy them on the spot. If I had known that I would have tried it first before laying out $75 for the podiatrist and $569 for the orthotics. When I went back for my scheduled follow up appointment, the waiting room was packed. After 30 minutes of waiting with no end in sight, I gave up and left. As is so often with the medical profession, it seems they consider their time valuable, but your time worthless.
