Hey Everyone i hope you are doing good, well i wanna ask, Is there any indoor place for Cricket Practice in Genesis Center or any where in Calgary? Than you
The stuff in the sowming pool horrible when I registered the didn't axplen for my that every things about the policy in then the didn't return my money back.
It's close to home and they have many services there, swimming, wall climbing etc. Plus the library is located here, it's not a well stocked library, but never the less it's a library. They just finished putting in another skate park this past summer. Over all its a great place for the family.
Haven't been to the gym or pool, but have been to the facility many times and it seems crowded. Library is what I tend to use and it's full of obnoxious teens, very distracting and the staff have very little control. But cant go wrong with the printing costs at a public library
Awesome community gathering place with lots of amenities for different activities, really a vibrant place, be it gym, swimming, rock climbing, library or need space for community learning, training and presentation of various activities, three plus northeast communities go here.
It is great place for fun and Learning. There is swimming pool as well as library inside. Apart from that, sports activities keep on running with lots of fairs and exhibitions. Also, doctors clinic inside. Overall, great place for every age group from children to adults.
Really cool facility. Very modern design and extremely accessible. I like how it seems tailor made to provide access and services to the community. The library in particular is a wonderful resource. If I lived anywhere near it I'd likely spend more time here!
Very open, beneficial for all ages, best things for youth are indoor hockey & soccer arenas. One can also go to a Doctor's clinic & physiotherapy clinic too
There was a big gathering for Eid prayer in Genesis Centre. We always had really good experience as we usually go for the earliest namaz! Parking was never an issue.lots of slots were available. They manage it really well!
Smells like curry. No place to sit because old Indian men occupy every bench and chair in the hallways. Overall good place to attend your event and go home after.
Genesis center is great. Lots of activities and sports going through the weekend. Low monthly cost and free programming for 30 and over mon-Fri 9-12. Which is great! Lots of other programs upstairs for new Canadians as well.
Nice facility with lots of different activities. Would have given more stars but the parking lot stalls are ridiculously small for a full sizes vehicle.
The membership here is affordable, the courts are very nice and it's generally not too packed. The membership is around $25 per month and cheaper for families. If you love playing basketball or badminton and are looking for a place to be able to play either sport on a regular basis then this is the right place for you. Basketball and badminton are the two most common sports played here.
Very busy community gathering spot. It was wonderful to see so many people. I was also impressed by how well-used the library is. What an asset this place is!
I used to love coming here until I had the misfortune of dealing with several racist, homophobic, and just generally rude employees and volunteers. I would never want to come here again if it weren't for the library (which is actually staffed very well and I always have a great experience in) Very disappointed with Genesis and the discrimination it supports: (
Nice experience at the Stampede breakfast but unfortunately the wait lines weren't well arranged. People who were waiting from long time and new ppl joined a new line and got all the foods first.other ppl who were already there before time kept waiting for long. Kids activities were great
Great idea, but over crowded. If you have mobility issues dont go here if you have to sit. Most tables and seats occupied by groups who will not move. I found the facility to be dirty and crowded. Front desk person was amazing. He was friendly and helpful.
On Tuesday and Thursday we go here for toddlers event from 10-12 which is a great way to get children know other children. Also the library has a small section for kids too. Plus there is always some activities going on the weekend
Probably the best community centre in Calgary! As someone who is an avid dancer and supporter of the urban arts scene its hard to find somewhere like that in Calgary. But at Genesis the staff are super friendly and are always welcoming dancers to come and use the space to practice for free! The other amenities around are also really cool. 1000 Voices, a Jugo Juice, YMCA, and public library are all within the building. Great centre with great people!
Massive sports facility, very clean, very spacious, welcoming, family oriented place. Staff are very nice and helpful. Could easily get ice pack and bandaids. Good practice space for roller derby. And best of all, beautiful Daniel J. Kirk mural.
