The George Traditional House- Okotoks

Completely disorganized we tried to sit-down but thevplace was packed and no one was organizing the seating so people were fighting over tables.glad I left I could only imagine how slow the service and food would have been.

Stopped in for supper before a hockey game. Fantastic service and delicious food. Portions sizes were amazing. Lots of food for great prices.

We've been frequent customers of this establishment for several years. Covid saw reduced staff and menu (like all other eateries) but they rebounded with great staff and a new and excellent menu. We live in High River and the George is one of our absolute favorite places to come. The new menu has a ton of great choices (the dumplings are the best I've ever eaten), and Peter, Lucy and all the rest of the staff always take great care of us. Also, the entertainment is often fabulous as well (tonight it's The Lost Boys). Two thumbs way, way up!

Great wings on Wednesday wing night and lots of tv's for the sports fan! Not too loud so you can talk without yelling. Awesome service from the waitresses as well!

I enjoyed their Beef Dip Sandwich, which was delicious. The portion size was ideal for sharing if you're not too hungry. The Sticky Toffee Pudding was okay.

The restaurant has a great vibe and ambience, although it seemed a bit understaffed. Nonetheless, the service provided was very good.

Awesome staff and excellent food! The owner of the George is an amazing sponsor of CanAm Wrestling & does so much in the community.

Great local spot for wings and beer. The food is traditionally Irish, but the atmosphere is second to none in Okotoks!

10 inch delicious pizzas for only $10 at the George for ALL of February!

First time coming here and was extremely disappointed with the service. Took about a half hour to finally get our order for food placed because she didn't come back for over 15 mins after bringing our drinks. We then had to wait an hour for our food as we watched the family beside us who ordered after get served first. Food wasn't bad, apart from the fries which were soggy for everyone, but the service leaves much to be desired and I don't see myself returning

Food is awesome, but I want to especially mention the service. I dine alone, being a single, senior female, and often experience terrible service in restaurants, including being ignored completely. The female staff today was awesome. She had a lot of full tables and gave us all great service!

Thanks so much for making our family reunion dinner a success! The separate raised seating area we were given was a great area to gather and eat. Food was incredible! Dined on July 8th.

Don’t go near the chicken wings. Perhaps the bone was more moist than the chicken. Triple fried? Inedible.

I have been a very loyal customer of The George for the last few years, and I have to say tonight has been the worst experience I have ever had. The service has been going downhill for a few months now and it's finally hit a point tonight where I will not return. We waited 30 minutes for our first drink order and then another 30 for our food and a second round of drinks. We ordered water for the table and they didn't come for an hour of being here. Additionally there was a feather in the wings and they were overall a very below average representation of what The George has to offer.

Tried to go to the George after reading great reviews. Sign outside said kid friendly. We went in and were greeted by someone at the bar. The sign at the front said seat 1yourself, so we chose a patio seat. After 5 minutes the server came and told us that people with kids have to sit inside. No explanation why. So we moved inside. Another few minutes and a different server came to tell us that kids aren't allowed at the table we were at and we had to move again. We said forget it and got up and left. It was 1: 00 on a Thursday afternoon and there were about 6 tables in the whole place. Great policy to make families feel welcome. 0/10 would recommend.

My food was ok. Everyone else's was good.
If I went back I have something else. Mushroom Swiss burger had no Mushrooms and was not a 6 oz burger like advertised

It's fairly loud So if you want a quaint commutative this is not the place. Having said that, it's upbeat. Great for people watching great food. Great service

Usually we have a good experience here but we went today for a business lunch. We arrived at 12: 10pm. Got our food at 1: 20pm. We never got a drink refill the whole time and it seemed like the patio was under staffed. When the food came it wasn’t the usual quality. Server took the drinks off the bill but it was three sodas.
We had meetings at 1: 30 so basically had to eat and run.
I am hoping this was a one off for the George.

Lucy was our server and she was FANTASTIC! Treated us like royalty! The food was very good. The George Prime Hamburger was fabulous and filling.

Visited for a dinner date. While the atmosphere and band were decent, our experience with our server, little miss blonde eastern-european, was ridiculous. Someone should train her to understand that she is there to serve, not flirt endlessly with men customers, especially those with partners.

She brought my friend his drink but not mine, touched him constantly, lingered to chat with my friend as if I was not there, and when he flagged her to ask about my drink, she finally came over and asked him, “Are you giving me a love-look? ” When I finally got my drink, 30 minutes later, it was spicy when I specifically requested non-spicy. I feel based on her conduct she did this deliberately. Ladies, consider going elsewhere with your guy.

We waited way too long to get our food. The burger tasted like a frozen patty, and the dip trio was uneventful, bland, and there was not enough bread or chips to go with it. When the server saw that I was eating my food very slowly, she came over to tell me to hurry up and eat. You can’t make this stuff up. She also appeared annoyed because we took our time and appeared to want to hurry us out.

Won’t be returning.
