The Great Outdoors: Junior Outfitters

This has been our go to store for the past 9 years for all seasons. We live in BC and so I frequently order items to be shipped. Julie and her team are so knowledgeable on all their products I can explain what I’m looking for, send measuresments and they always pick out the perfect items for my children. My daughter is disabled which can make finding proper clothing even more difficult but they always get it right. I even find it can be confusing when certain brands fit different and list different sizing so it’s always such a relief knowing the proper sizes are ordered, thanks to the helpful knowledgable staff. Julie’s entire store is so thought out to make sure it’s stocked with the best premium products for all children. One of the lifesaving parts is I am a very busy single mom of 2 and don’t always realize until it’s to late we need something from the store. I can call them right up and have it shipped out in a timely manner so we are set for our adventures! So thankful to have The great outdoor junior outfitters as our go to one stop shop for adventuring all seasons and weather.

This place has quality gear for kids in the winter and outdoors. The staff are knowledgeable and helpful. The only downside is the fun and brightly colored gear doesn't always have an adult equivalent for me.

This business is the best! As a teeny tiny lil lady, it can be tricky to find quality stuff that fits. The Great Outdoors carries solid gear and brands that I just can't find in Canmore. In my most recent experience, I ordered and paid over the phone in a despate effort to get myself some boots that fit, and the owner actually delivered it personally to my house in Canmore - how's that for service!? ! Seriously appreciate this business.

Didn't know this place existed until a few weeks ago, They sell premium kids clothing and shoes. I Dealt with a really fantastic staff, I think her name was Sheila. What a great example of how an amazing individual made a wonderful shopping experience. She was friendly and extremely knowledgeable. She asked me questions to understand, then she made suggestions and ultimately fulfilled my needs. I am 110% impressed with the experience due to this person. I will likely be back soon

Update. Went in again today. The same girl was there, Sheila. She was so kind and so helpful

I have been shopping here for 10 years and the service has been amazing every time we go. I can't say enough good things about the staff and the products they carry. By far the best place to buy outdoor gear for kids in Calgary.
