The edamame beans and peas did not go well with the gnocchi. The two textures do not compliment the eachother. I was also surprised that 2 bottles of still water was $15. They also supposedly ran out of gnocchi by the time we got there which was 12pm on a Thursday and had to make more unexpectedly.

All the food, including the cocktails she recommended, was delicious and I enjoyed my stay here. It is the best place. We will visit again as soon as possible.

In the end, she gave stickers to my children. Mothers would know. Stickers are such a big gift to them. Thank you^^

Love the restaurant decor. Amazing food and service is excellent. Visited this location several times and the dishes never stop amazes me. Happy hour options are great too! Highly recommend.

Disappointing. The staff are very nice but they’re not trained for service in a restaurant that charges these prices. I wouldn’t say the food is outright bad, but it would’ve made more of an impression if they threw it at me. The steak temp wasn’t close to what was ordered, nobody checked on it after it was served and I had to ask for a fork. The bar staff had lots of time to socialize with their friends though. This place is charging for standards it doesn’t meet.

Treated ourselves to a fancy dinner and the Guild was a perfect choice. Our server was really attentive, knowledgeable and was mindful of the timing of meals prior to an event we were going to. The atmosphere was really classy and modern, and the food was to die for.

Bonus: realized upon receipt that this is an Oliver and Bonacini restaurant which was so exciting as a master chef canada fan.

The food was good but the service was really bad. Our server was rude and didn’t care about our comfort. Whenever we asked him for something he seemed like he didn’t want to and treated us like a hassle. Very disappointed because it was my friends birthday. The Server ID was: andr6591, I don’t know if this would help or not.

Had the beet and burrata salad. Not sure what they think burrata is but what was on the plate was definitely not burrata. Kind of a sloppy scoop of stracciatella. Waiter seemed distracted. Nice atmosphere.

I love the layout of this place with the semi circular bar and kitchen in the back. Well done designers. Food was very good. We had devilled eggs for appetizer. We also had lobster risotto and gnocchi. All good dishes. Service was attentive and friendly. Next time I will try some meat. They seem to pride themselves on their dry aged meat.

Stumbled upon this place with my boyfriend, while looking for happy hour. We originally had dinner reservations for a different steakhouse. However, the bartender Julian was amazing and went above and beyond to explain the menu and really convinced us to stay. We are sure happy we made that choice because the meal was absolutely amazing. We had the jerk chicken and the maple glazed beef short rib, and they did not disappoint. You can tell Julian has a lot of passion for his job and really made us feel welcomed.

Wonderful place right on the walking mall in Calgary. Great service and a well curated selection of foods and drinks that were done right.

Been coming to The Guild with my partner for a long time and The Gnocci was a huge favourite always drawing us back.
However they recently changed the gnocci and we are super disappointed.
It is not NEARLY as good as it used to be. Chefs if you read this PLEASE bring the old gnocci back.

Went to The Guild for lunch with a friend and the food took a while to be served however when it came. It was tasty and i couldn’t get enough. I’ll definitely be going back for the Jerk Chicken meal. Giving 4 stars only because of the delay in getting the food.

The Guild is one of my all-time favorites in the city. The desserts are top-notch and creative. The steaks aged and cook to perfection. The salads are always fresh and well-seasoned. The ambience is so relaxing. Servers are so knowledgeable and attentive. This place is always in my go-to list.

I normally enjoy the food and the service, but not the last time. I booked a table for 11 people at 6: 00pm on a recent Saturday evening. They could not accommodate us all at one table, so they split us across two tables, which was fine. We were told that we had to be out of the restaurant by a certain hour because they needed the tables for the next reservation. We told the restaurant that we needed to be out by 8: 00 because we had an event to go to. That would free up the tables on time and get us to our event on time.

We ordered a $64 bottle of wine. We were told that they were out of the wine, and that the next closest substitute was only $10 more so we agreed to get that bottle. My surprise came at bill time on two fronts. First, we were charged $95 for the substitute wine. It seems that the waiter misunderstood the original $64 bottle order, and thought that we wanted the $85 next step up bottle, which they were actually out of. So they upsold us on the $85 bottle and we paid $95.

The second surprise was the timing of receipt of our bills. At about 7: 50 I asked the waiter for our bills. We received them at 8: 20. A full half hour to get our bills!

When I spoke with management the next day, they admitted that they were slammed with having seated a bunch of large group reservations between 7 and 8pm. If you know you have those many reservations booked, including the times and numbers of guests arriving, can that not be better planned for?

I also told management about the wine mess-up and no concrete solution was offered. I sent an email to the restaurant and have heard nothing over a week later.

Most disappointing.

I won't get into the ceiling-mounted air conditioning unit dripping water onto our table.

This place is so great, my husband and I came here with a gift card and spent a little over, but had a really great feast. The seafood risotto might be one of my new favorite meals, and the dessert we got, the raspberry Neapolitan brownie was incredible. Overall, a little expensive, but it makes a great date. The ambiance and design of the restaurant is so stunning too. Our only complaint would be that some of the food was quite salty, specifically the steak my husband had.

Since my partner and I both love wine, we decided to try this place. My workmate told me that they have good selection of fine wine and that I would totally enjoy dining here. So, we finally did come and found the place to our liking. It is neat and has a warm lighting which is very easy to the eyes. We had wine and had ask our server for a good food recommendation to pair our selected wine. We were very thankful for the recommendation we had. Food were very delicious and satisfying.

We dined at the Guild with a group of seven. Our drinks, appetizers and meals were excellent and service was outstanding. We especially want to recognize our server, Russell, who went above and beyond our expectations, and was humorous at the same time. We had a wonderful evening! Great place!

Good selection of dishes in their menu and the wine is good too! Went here with my sister and we had a good time dining here. We liked their food so much that we already planned on going again here. They did great in cooking our orders perfectly as how they should be. Presentation is nice too which added to the delight we felt when we saw our orders finally coming to our table.

Brother was a little bit excited going here so we made a reservation and they confirmed it. We went a little bit early and was thankful we were accommodated as soon as we walk in. We liked the ambiance and the lights, they were so warm and felt very comfortable. They very much contributed to our good dining experience. We enjoyed the food and our server's company-very nice and friendly.

It was a very pleasant experience. I went there to celebrate my 30s anniversary and everything was amazing, the food was Delicious as the presentation. I highly recommend to try the restaurant and you will get a special service from Russell, manager and absolutely the chef.

I've been loving their lamb burger and mac and cheese here. My friend brought me here one time and had a wonderful dinner, everything was just perfect-from the food up to their service. So, I decided to go here whenever I had the time and if I am in the area. I like how they prepare their food and how quick their service is. Nice and friendly servers too!

The brisket and bison short rib are amazing here. Got to taste them when I was invited by my sister for dinner. Gotta say the place is nice with a warm atmosphere. They have a good service, quick delivery of foods on our table. The meat is juicy and very tender. The sauce is perfect too! They were very satisfying since they are delicious and had a generous portions. Would love to be back again here soon

I love their wine and brisket here. The wine's appearance, aroma, and texture are perfect for me. On the other hand, the meat is easy to eat, cooked perfectly. The sauce is really great that it complimented the meat very well. Every bite is bursting with flavors and not a single portion of the dish is lacking. My orders are truly amazing and delicious. Worthy of how much we paid for our meals.

Got a chance to eat here when a family friend invited us to dinner. The place was so nice and it has a warm atmosphere, customers will be feeling comfortable while they dine here. The foods we had were wonderful and we couldn't ask for more. They were presented nicely and the taste very delicious. The server we had was super nice and very knowledgeable with the dishes in their menu, it helped us a lot in choosing. Great place!

SHOUT OUT TO MITCH! GIVE THAT MAN A RAISE.

My boyfriends birthday dinner here with friends was genuinely one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. The food was to die for (especially those Mac & Cheese bites), and our waiter Mitch new exactly how to make us feel welcome, and perfectly sold us on everything we tried over the evening. It was fun and informative, which was awesome. He even gave us an impromptu tour of the place which was unexpected but sooo cool! Overall, coming to The Guild was a core memory for sure, and it was all thanks to the impeccable service and amazing food.

Their wine selection here is amazing. I had some recommendations from our server about their popular/best wine (s) and I was amazed at how they tasted. Paired with our orders, it was just the best. I couldn't ask for more. They just gave us the best service they have. Good food and wine, quick service, and nice and attentive staff. Kudos!

Server Russel was great very attentive. Didn't have us waiting for refills food came out quickly very pleasant. Rigatoni Bolognese sauce was not the best this time however you could taste the fresh pasta as well as the fresh inhouse ground meat i assume was aged as well. I would still say quite better than some restaurants i have been that claim to be italian. Russel bought my son a slice of cake for his birthday that speaks volume.

On July 17,2021, at the entrance of The Guild, I had a discussion with a security guard hired by The Guild. The result of the discussion is that the security guard 1) Threatened me with physical violence 2) Made fun of my shaking hands, which is due to a medical condition: essential tremors 3) Swore at me by using the 'F' word ie telling me where to go. When I recounted the incidence to the manager on duty, the security guard lied and falsely and egregiously accused me of calling him a derogatory name - a name I've never used in my life. The worse part was how the manager chose to handle the situation. He told me 1) forget about it 2) move on. Essentially, the manager belittled my experience.

Our first experience at The Guild was one of the most memorable experiences I have had so far. A group of friends and I went out to celebrate a birthday, and Mitchell was our server. Little did we know just how much of a delight the whole experience would be. From the beginning he made sure we had our drinks and answered any questions about food or drinks that we were curious about. Mitchell was not only knowledgeable about the food and venue, but he went above and beyond to make sure everyone at that table was smiling, and he deserves a massive raise. The food was fantastic and the welcoming atmosphere was even more so. We will definitely be returning in the near future!

Highly recommend! The food was fantastic! My partner ordered the short rib, which is sous vide, and just melted in your mouth! It was amazing! I had the lamb burger which was also delicious! Our waiter, Dan, was great! We will definitely be back!

The Guild is hands down one of my top steak restaurants in Calgary. Never disappoints, with excellent VIP-level service; and dangerously walking distance from my office. The steak is dry aged and seared perfectly, always.

Took some out of town guests there recently for their first experience of steak in Alberta. Best steak they've ever had - of course we had to have the tomahawk platter! Glad I took them on a beautiful sunny day, was perfect to dine on the patio along Stephen Avenue.

It was our first time at The Guild, we had a good time the best food ever and cocktails. Our server was Carter, he was soo nice to us made sure we had a good experience and took care of us the whole night. I recommend him to everyone.

We stopped in for dinner tonight after a shopping trip. Best food ever! Our manager/waiter was awesome and we had him laughing almost as much as us.

I’ve been in Guild a quite a few times, and always had great customer service until yesterday (August 21,2021). My friends and I were about to visit Guild and came a few minutes after 9pm (to be exact, it was 9: 03-9: 05pm). When we reached out the main entrance, a hostess met us and let us know they don’t provide the service after 9: 00pm, even though the place normally works until 10: 00pm. We kindly asked the server is there any way she can let us in as it was only a few minutes after 9pm (again, the place is open until 10pm). She seemed very lost and rushed into his manager on duty, who was wiping the tables in the meantime. I could literally see through the window that place wasn’t busy at all and I’ve noticed how the manager was looking at us from inside and gave angry look (even though he was wearing a mask). I was so disappointed and probably won’t go there ever again as this is not the customer service visitors should be getting. I totally understand your policies as this is not the first time being here, but being your loyal customers (we were party of 7-8), this is definitely not acceptable. I understand kitchen probably was closed already, but at least to stop by a few drinks - are you guys dong well enough that can turn away visitors just like that? Very disappointed.

Super restaurant situé au cœur de la rue piétonne Stephen street dans l’iconique building du magasin La Baie. Le service est très sympathique et chaleureux. Menu élaboré après plusieurs plats. Très bon choix de cocktails et vin au verre. Le décor est sophistiqué et moderne. La salle à manger est en demi-cercle vers le bar et la cuisine à air ouverte. Très belle terrasse sous les arches.

Went last night to get some steak. I had a 16oz Ribeye and fiance had the tenderloin. Ordered the ribeye medium rare it came out medium well, the tenderloin came out pretty much medium rare but one side over cooked. I had to send the ribeye back, got a new one which came out somewhere between blue rare and rare and a snarky comment from the manager. The guys can't cook steak and can't cook to order. I wouldn't recommend.

Outstanding service, outstanding atmosphere and outstanding food. Strongly suggest getting the dry aged tomahawk!

Easily the best calamari I've ever had, and on a stylish dog-friendly patio! Definitely coming back.

came here with a friend to kill time to go to another restaurant however the price point is definitely not worth it.spent $120 on 2 cocktails and two main dishes.both main dishes were rare meat, one was the steak tartare & I got myself the lamb burger.the steak tartare had a small portion of meat with overwhelming chips to compensate. This made no sense but the streak tartare was okay, nothing fancy. I wouldn't order this again.as well as the lamb burger, was okay, no wow factor.ordered two smoked old fashioned, probably the best old fashioned I'd ever tasted

Last Night we went to The Guild for first time and we loved it! The food was so delicious and very tasty. The outside patio was supper nice! And let me tell you about our server, his name was Mitch, he was amazing, the way he was recommending the food and drink and dessert made us want to try everything and sure enough it was very so good. Thank You Mitch you made our night very enjoyable and we definitely come back!

My 1st visit was in March 2020 - 3 days before Covid shutdowns. My second time was July 14/21. The 1st time I had the Cobb Salad - BEST Cobb salad ever. The 2nd time, I had the Cobb Salad again and happily it was equally good. Don't change a thing! Also started with the Honeydew Gazpacho - a little slice of summer heaven.

Food, service and ambiance never disappoint. We have returned several time throughout the summer as the patio is beautiful and dog-friendly. I was there Saturday night with a friend and had outstanding service from Marianna. Thanks for the cocktails tips and suggesting such a great meal!

Nice place, spacious & comfortable. My mahi mahi was bland & served with some kind of wilted leafy greens, not the snow peas the menu promised. My friend's jerk chicken was nearly inedibly spicy and she's a spicy fan. Maybe an off night. The wine recommendation was good though.

Asked for a table for 2 at the patio and told there would be a 30 min wait. We waited for an hour and never received a call back the entire night. We came back to see and the patio didn't even look busy, What a waste of time waiting.

Just enjoyed the mother's Day Beef Wellington dinner for four. Nice concise instructions for cooking up the entire pre- built meal. And WHAT a meal. The salad was interesting and tasty! The Wellington was amazing! The sides very great. The dessert, a perfect carrot cake! Tough trick to pull off a "remote controled" 4 course meal, but you did it!
