Our Landlord originally hired this business to get a drain pipe blockage cleared and to quote to remove and close off an old drain pipe that was causing problems that was no longer used. He had to come back on a later date to do the quote. Had an appointment 8am on a Monday with Mark, and he didn’t get there until 9: 45am. Once he did arrive he inspected the pipe of concern, and then mentioned he needed to get parts in the city. We then rebooked for him to arrive the following Saturday “first thing” to actually do the work. He called us that Saturday morning and informed us he had not picked up the parts needed for the job yet and that his possible eta was closer to 11am, then someone from his company phoned us (maybe his wife?) again before 11am and tell us he had been delayed in Edmonton and now it was going to be a 2 week wait before he could make it to us. We didn’t want to wait the two weeks so we had contacted a new plumber.
Mark Hanly owner of “The Hanlyman” is very unprofessional and not reliable at all. If you need plumbing work done phone Total Plumbing out of Westlock, they called back and got us a quote the same day.

After calling every plumbing company in town and not even having the calls get answered I called mark and he picked up right away. Within 2 days of calling he was at the house and had my drain line cleared. He even send a video of the inside of the pipe to look at. Very impressed with the work and professionalism.

Absolutely amazing, showed up as planned to accommodate my schedule on a Saturday early evening, to repair my main water line. The poor set up literally fall apart in “the handyman’s “ hand ; he was cool and clam the whole time, even cracking jokes - awesome. There was water everywhere! And he totally repaired the line in action. He also helped me keep the line thawed with his advise until he was scheduled to come out, just awesome. I’m so grateful and happy to now know the handyman and that he came out to CALLING LAKE for services. I totally recommend the handyman’s services and will use him again. THANK YOU

Mark initially did some trenching and landscape work for me, he went above and beyond and did not overcharge when difficulties arose. Personable, and professional. I had him back to do the rough in for garage plumbing (bathroom and kitchen) and I continued to be pleased with his diligence, and professionalism.

After many appointments that were postponed for various reasons, Mark did actual come to my house to replace my Hot Water Tank. We were upgrading to a 50gal from a 40gal tank. I guess that we needed to upgrade our venting too. He did not have the correct part to tie in or something like that. He said that he would get the part the next day (Wednesday) and return around 530pm to install. I received a call from someone with his company (Wife?) and told me that Mark couldn't get the part till the end of the week but will be there between 8-830am on Saturday. On Friday afternoon received both a Voicemail and text confirming Mark would be there on Saturday morning. Saturday came and went. No calls, No texts. My Wife waited all morning for him to show. We both called him and texted. No reply. 2 weekends in a row trying to get this done and nothing. Extremely unprofessional, and I wouldn't let The Hanlyman in my house again if he offered to do it for free. Do Not use this Company!

Fixed my broken water fitting quickly and for a fair price. Knows his stuff, somebody I can trust. Recommended.

Mark was great to work with! He was professional, helpful and was able to fix our frozen septic pipes despite the challenges the the old cabin through at him. He was fun to work with and help out and we had fun doing it. The price was very reasonable and I would absolutely use Mark again. I have shared his name with all my friends.

They called me 3 times over 2 weeks saying they would be at my home to assess what was needed, they didn't turn up once, didn't even have the courtesy to call and say they weren't coming. Eventually I went elsewhere.

The Hanly Man was awesome to deal with! He was professional, respectful, took time to answer any plumbing questions I had. Took pride in his work to ensure the problem was addressed and fixed properly. Definitely will use Mark again in the future for any of my plumbing needs.

Great service! Great price! My house was a struggle with seized gas fittings and bypassing water valves. Mark took his time to ensure everything was done properly. We now have functioning hot water again! Thank you very much for the professionalism and quality work.

When our hot water heater broke, Mark and his guy came to replace it on short notice. He was very professional and did a thorough and timely job. Not only that but he had a great price. I would definitely recommend The Hanly Man to my friends and clients.
