Poor communication during booking - thought I'd booked for the north side (I prefer that location and that was the location I called to book at) & ended up rushing across town when they told me my appt was on Kateri. Was apprehensive to keep the appt and honestly wish I'd just walked away.left with a haircut I really wasn't happy with. Never going back. Have been to headroom north before and had a great experience, I'd recommend that location over this one. Not a great environment IMO

Extremely grateful for the Headroom this weekend.
I had an apt at twisted pretty and they canceled within 4 hrs on me.

My bf had booked us a photography session for my birthday and it was for Sept 10th, so I booked a hair apt

Well twisted pretty screwed me over (again) so I was frantic and so upset.

But the headroom pulled through for me, I am so grateful.

Brook was an absolute delight to have do my hair. I highly recommend her to everyone! (Tell them I sent you and get a discount!)

The salon is beautiful, with snacks and beverages. Also the pricing is great, it was much less than what I would have paid at twisted pretty which was a pleasant surprise.

Brook was also very helpful with product knowledge and helped me pick out two new items for me (a blow dry spray and heat protection)

I can't thank Brook and the Headroom enough for this amazing experience, I am so grateful she was able to fit me in on such short notice and on a Sunday

Brook and the Headroom saved the day and made my photography session and birthday gift so beyond special

Me and my two children see Kortney at the headroom she is the first hair dresser that has cut my Teen sons hair where he has left happy and loving his cut. She takes her time and asks lots of questions to give you what you want without jeopardizing the integrity of your hair. 5 stars from me!

Going to this place for my hair coloring was the worst experience of my life. The staff is unprofessional and inexperienced. They charged my around 300 dollars and destroyed my hair. After wasting my 6 hours and charging me around 300 dollars I didnt even get 20% close to the desired hair color and I came home with my forehead stained in some hair color. That is their level of professionalism. My hair are long and they could not handle them and destryed them. Next day I called them to talk to the owner/manager. The lady answering the phone took my contact information and told me that management will call me. It's been a week and noone has called me. To all the women with longer hair, please never ever go to this place as these people are the worst and can not do this job.

I went to a lovely lady named Brooke the other day and got my hair chopped. I have to say I haven't felt this good about my hair in years. She was so sweet and calm and listened to exactly what I wanted. I feel like me again highly recommend her! Thank you Brooke!

I had a great experience today at Headroom Salon (South) down from Eastlink. It’s such a friendly, relaxing, professional environment. It was my first time there and I was booked in with Amanda Richardson. She was fantastic, she put me at ease, she knew exactly what I wanted with regard my colour and cut. It’s the best colour I’ve ever had. Amanda is so professional, great to get along with she made me laugh. I’ll definitely be back. I highly recommend it everyone.

Inner beauty by Terri did a fabulous job with my daughter's hair. My daughter is donating her hair and Terri helped make this an amazing experience.

Amanda was great! She got rid of the ugly colour I previously had and matched my hair perfectly with my extensions. She fit me in last second and stayed late to help me out! She definitely cares about her customers! Highly recommend!

I went to Katie as a new client and had her do a colour and style, she was so patient and listened to everything that i wanted during the consult and then made it all happen. She has a great personality and is lovely to talk to for the hours that i was in there. Super thankful for her amazing service and i cant wait for my next appointment! Highly recommend!

I've had my hair cut at The Headroom on Kateri for the past three years and each visit exceeds my expectations. Headroom's team consists of talented and highly trained stylists who listen attentively to their clients' requests, offer meaningful feedback and follow through with great looking styles and cuts. They each take a lot of pride in their work, providing both a comfortable and professional atmosphere with every appointment.

If you're looking for something specific, I suggest you review their roster of stylists on their website as each one offers something professionally unique. Amanda Seary, for example, is a highly experienced Level 4 stylist rightly designated the "connoisseur of mens' cuts" and who also specializes in colours & dye. Regardless the stylist of your choosing, I'm confident you'll feel more than satisfied with the experience offered at The Headroom.

I'm not going to get into details but for the cost of the services, the hairdressers should work on how they interact with their clients - I was insulted several times by Amanda in my half hour sitting with her.

It was an uncomfortable experience.

I tipped her well for her services, despite being unhappy with the cut and the time there, and I will not be back.

Terri Lynn Badger is one of the best hairstylists I’ve had do my hair.she’s the only one I’ll let cut colour and style.she’s the 1.totally recommend

So I’m going to start off my saying that I have always been nervous about trusting someone to colour/cut my hair. After looking at the reviews for The Headroom, I decided to give them a try. I had hairdresser Katie work her magic (for real it was like literal magic!) on my hair and I’m just gonna say WOW she knows what she’s doing! She was soo knowledgeable and you could tell right off the hop that she was passionate about what she does. I have never felt soo confident with the tone and blending of blonde hair till after today. She made sure that she understood what I wanted then she just went multiple levels above that expectation. 10/10 recommend her and this establishment to anyone that wants to feel like a Queen!

I went into the headroom a couple days ago after doing a bit of research into the salons of the area, as I am new to GP. I booked with a 'master' stylist to get my blonde ombre refreshed. What I received was not masterful at all. The appointment was very rushed as they had clearly not booked enough time for my appointment. The stylist was very rough and clearly rushing as she was brushing my hair, I could hear and feel it ripping and breaking.  The dye job was the least masterful thing I received. There was little blending near the roots and it looks very chunky and blocky (see attached photos). This is the most I've ever spent on a cut/dye (over $400) and so I was expecting a lot better. I'm very disappointed and ashamed of what my hair looks like now. Very unhappy and disappointed with The Headroom: (

I had Jenn and she was an absolute delight. She was so friendly and took her time. I didn't feel rushed and she was willing to work with me to make sure that I was happy with the end result. I would highly recommend her. It was a lovely hour of pampering.

I have another appointment booked with Stacie after the Alberta quarantine. Stacie is phenomenal, she's very kind and caring, making me feel very welcomed, and she did a remarkable job on my hair, I would and have recommended her and the headroom to countless friends and people at work. I receive a ton of compliments on my hair now. She gave me a hair cut that makes me look and feel a lot younger. After and during my bleaching she was explaining how to take care of my freshly dyed blonde hair and its really helped. I am extremely appreciative of her advice and just in general how warm and kind she is.bottom point I love my new hair and I will be returning.

I originally had a unfavorable experience but then the manager had reached out to me and was extremely professional and friendly, and they were willing to work with me and help me achieve the hair goals I want, its the best customer service I've received.

Went for a haircut with Jamie. She had never cut my curly hair before, but she was very confident, and was familiar with the do’s and don’ts of curly hair, made suggestions for exactly what I needed done with my hair before I even had to say. Washed, cut and styled my hair quickly and confidently. I never felt rushed but loved that I wasn’t sitting in the chair waiting forever. Probably the fastest and best haircut I have had!

I love this place! I've always struggled with finding a hair dresser that actually listens to what i want, danielle was amazing, and took everything I asked for into consideration! I'll definitely be back

This was my first visit to The Headroom on Kateri Drive. Jordan was very nice and professional. She understood exactly how to cut my wavy hair so it would do the style I wanted properly. I appreciated her skill and attention to detail. She did an amazing job cutting and styling my hair!

I have had a few experiences at The Headroom with my son and husband, all have been wonderful. However when you click with a stylist the way I did with Amanda (Seary, Kateri location) you need to celebrate? I walked out feeling and looking so good and like I had just had an awesome visit with a dear friend as well. Literally first time we have ever really chatted. This girl listens, like really listens and I am grateful for that and shares from the heart. I am looking forward to my next appointment for another visit.

Had a stylist mention doing some thinning to my hair and I told her I dont want it to be thinner, she proceeds to tell me, she's really good at thinning. I dont want the thinning, no matter how good you are. And then proceeded to try and charge me $60 for my dusting and walked away as if I wouldn't realize.

I’ve been to The Headroom (Kateri location) a few times now to get blonding done by Elyse and I have been 100% satisfied every single time. She does absolutely fabulous work, and I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking to get blonding, a cut, or any other service. I have been to other salons in Grande Prairie and NOTHING compares.

I kept putting off getting my hair done because I'm a single mom of a toddler and don't know anyone in GP well enough to trust with my hair as it's quite long. I met with Amanda and she gave me advice and some suggestions; I let her do her thing and take over because she made me feel comfortable. (I also creeped her IG portfolio) Since she has done my hair; I've cried with joy twice because I feel beautiful again and I deserve it. I have thanked over and over because it takes a lot to give myself self care when so busy working full time and being a mom full time. I also have my daughter booked in this week for her first hair cut!

I love love love The Headroom! My first appointment was August long weekend and I got in to see Amanda Seary. I decided to get a major transformation and chopped off all my hair. Not only was Amanda amazing, the entire salon was encouraging and supportive of the whole process, which included an incredible color change as well as the cut. The service was great, from the coffee and baileys to all the comments and input as it happened. I felt at home from the moment I walked in, and have been back twice since with my next appointment already. Having a stylist who isn’t afraid to have an opinion on the direction to go, while still listening to my thoughts is exactly what this is! The experience in the salon is great, and I am a very loyal client!

I was a do it yourself project, made a mess of my hair. I phoned the headroom and they booked me in right away. Amanda Seary was my stylist.
She was very thorough in explaining what she thought should be done. I agreed, I had total confidence in her. Very friendly, nice atmosphere Well.after she was done colouring and cutting i was thrilled!
She transformed me from a little old lady to a classy older woman!

The last visit at the headroom exceeded all expectations I have had for a salon visit! I would highly recommend this location. They were informative and courteous. It made for a very enjoyable morning and I ended up gladly receiving more services then I initially intended so great job to the girls that helped me through my day!

I am beyond impressed at how well Laura from Headroom North cut my hair. I have many textures so finding someone to cut it has been a nightmare. She is very knowledgeable and knows what to do with each curl type, she is also very good at recommending product and accessories that will make it easier to manage your curly hair. Definitely will be coming back to her in the future.
