A spacious establishment with a large variety of boardgames. They also offer boardgames for sale as well and the staff was very knowledgeable!

Amazing spot. Comfy bright atmosphere. Huge library of games and large tables for gaming. The drinks are amazing and the baked goods are tasty too. Service can be a little slow when it gets busy, and parking can be tough due to location, but other than that, this is a perfect spot for gaming.

Good selection of tables and they have a ton of space in the back. It can get pretty busy so you probably want to get here soon after dinner time on busy weekends. You need to buy a drink per person but it's a nice place to sit down and catch up with friends while playing board games! 3 hours and a drink will run you $20+ with tips!

Board game paradise! Staff all very friendly, attentive and passionate about their many, many games.

The cafe charges you for 18% mandatory tip with out informing you in advance. As far as I am concerned, it is unprofessional and impolite to do so. At the same time you are also charged for 4$ per hour (each person). So, it is more expensive to play there compared to other places like Table Top Cafe.
Additionally, there is no wipe to sanitize the game stuff after playing.

My first time at a board game cafe. Lots of games to select from so you're guaranteed to find one that you like. For large groups, unless you're specifically looking for that atmosphere, it's much cheaper to simply buy whatever game and split the cost between your friends.

I attended the Stranger Things D&D Halloween event and it was so much fun! This was my first time at the cafe and it immediately felt welcoming and inclusive. I felt very comfortable there and the event was so much fun. Everyone was very friendly and I'm looking forward to visiting again.

They have a good collection of games and the price is not bad either. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable about boardgames.

However, the spotlight of this place is the customer service. The employees are the absolute nicest people ever. If you don't get amazing customer service, then you must be a rare rare experience. Hats completely off to the younger lady (wish I got her name) who worked today till closing. She was so incredibly nice I almost thought of tipping more than the original tip that was placed. One of the nicest employees I've ever spoken to in my life and she recommended me a game I'm definitely going to buy (chroma cube). Thank you so much to her (again wish I got her name) because she most definitely made my day.

Ive been to quite a few board game/cafe spots in the city and was very happy with my experience here. Came here for the first time with a few friends.

Wonderful spot and a lot bigger when you get inside. Staff are friendly and helpful. They have a good system for organizing there wide variety of games and food/drinks were tasty and priced well. Service was also quick. You can get hours of fun and don't have to spend much.

Highly recommend for a date or just a fun time with some friends.

I’ve always found the food and drink at this place to be ok but the real star is the friendly vibe and unhurried atmosphere in which you can dive into the deep library of games. It’s typically university students at this place but I always enjoyed going with my son and just wasting the afternoon away playing endless bird games. If you have kids that love games you won’t be disappointed. They don’t pressure you to keep buying stuff to stay longer as long as it’s not crazy busy. But you should…they are a cool welcoming business that really makes you feel at home.

I just moved to the city where 2 of my daughters live, and they were eager to take me here for a few games and some food. They told me it had good food, and most importantly, a very large selection of games to play. They were right! Over 1000! They said the menu for light nibbles was yummy and they were licensed. Great!
We chose one game they'd played before called Red Flag, which was a hoot! The second was a game unknown to us all: Harry Potter CLUE. It had lots of rules that my ancient brain needed time to absorb, but ended up being SOOO much fun! Being Potterheads, it was a MUST PLAY! *smile* I think we may have to go buy it.
The Cafe staff were friendly and prompt and the atmosphere had a family friendly vibe. Spacious and clean with a good variety of sitting choices: small tables, large tables, booths, some elevated with stools, some lower on the floor. The bathrooms were ambiguous and marked for both male, female and gender fluid (or something to that effect). Very thoughtful and accommodating I thought!
Now for the few negatives: one daughter asked if there was wine and there was, but the waitress didn't say it came in a half bottle and it cost 20.00. Pretty pricey as well as unexpected! They really should make that clear for those not close to the menu, which is written, quite charmingly, on the wall. (All 3 of us wear glasses and were at a distance.so we didn’t want to go stand infront of other tables and gawk weirdly above them at the wall. It's awkward.)
The food/drink prices ARE steep. But to me, that is but a small drawback and one is ONLY obligated to spend $5 dollars to stay, along with the 3$ per person per hour to play.
Bottom line: VERY fun place to go with friends and family for good fun and good treats!

This place is amazing! It has a ton of options for board games, great snacks and food, and lovely staff. You can rent the board games and they have lots of room for big groups while still having tables for couples or individuals. Look no further for a wonderful evening with friends.

I've been here on multiple occasions and will keep going back. The staff is amazing, they are so helpful and provide efficient service. Their knowledge of board games is impressive.

The library of games to choose from is extensive, featuring well known classics and brand new games alike. Cascadia is my new favourite. They also offer a rental service for some games and have a unique selection of games to buy.

In terms of food, the offer snacks and sandwiches. The coffee is huge, all hot drinks are well worth the price. Their seasonal drinks are consistently yummy.

Was very happy to stumble upon this place. Good snacks, an excellent choice/library of board games. $3/person per hour to sit plus whatever you buy - beers, drinks, food. Can't wait to go back.

Great place, it's so fun. They have too many incredible games. If you're looking to have a good time with your friends this is the place. Their drinks are so yummy too their Chai te is exceptional you must try it.

Went here for the first time with a friend, unknown about what we would expect. After our experience, we will DEFINITLEY be coming back!

I'm not much of a board game person besides Chess, Monopoly, Cards etc. But the staff were VERY happy to help, suggest and guide you through board games you never heard of before.

We ordered Nachos to snack on, and it came out very fresh! You could immediately tell the veggies we all freshly cut in the kitchen.

This is a MUST for everyone! You do NOT have to be a hardcore board game player. Ask the staff for recommendations as they quite an extensive knowledge of board games & a huge collection. Order some food while you're at it, cause its actually good.

HIGHLY Recommend anyone from Edmonton to make the commute here, it's a must.

Good selection of games but frustrating business model where each person is required to pay for time and food/drink. Food/drink prices aren't that reasonable considering they are required and service immediately drops off once you do order. Also they really hound you to get that order in.

It’s was beautiful experience! Lots of both old and new games to pick, menu was extremely enjoyable. We got the spinach dip and it was yummy! Also got the iced peach green tea lemonade, that was better than the Starbucks version!
10/10 would recommend for a girls night or date night for sure!

I had such a fun time here! The food was good, the staff were very helpful by explaining the rules of the game to us and there was a great selection of games.

Honestly one of my favourite places on Whyte Ave. If you’re looking for an affordable date night or a fun afternoon with friends, look no further. The cafe itself is spacious and very clean with lots of seating. The atmosphere is very calm and inviting and the bathrooms are spotless. There’s so many board games to choose from, it’s honestly hard to pick one just because there’s so many options. The servers are friendly and the service is quick. You don’t have to order food or drinks but whenever I ordered something it always tasted very good. I’ve come here numerous times on dates and with friends and it was always such a fun time. I also appreciate that this cafe is open late (sometimes after midnight). Overall, an amazing place that I recommend to everyone. Love it here.

Board games are a bit over priced, but the customer service was good. They have lots of area behind the Cafe.

Fantastic place for the board game player. Prices are really reasonable. Good selection of games. They have a cafe/coffee shop type menu. They don't try to force you into buying drinks or food whilst playing games. You can sit there with water easily.

One of my favourite places to spend an afternoon or evening with friends. Very knowledgeable staff that can help you choose a fun game. A great way to try new board games, some you may have never even heard of before. They also have some games available to purchase.

Absolutely loved the fun time we had there, the staff were knowledgeable about the games and suggested really good one for us. We have already planned to go back there soon. Oh, their cheesecake is to die for!
