The Hive Nanton

A fantastic gem in Nanton, this store offers a little for everyone in your family. 100+ vendors under one roof, the owner, Kristen Hall, sells her own honey there too. Check out the produce from Paradise Hill Tomato Farm in the red barn out front. You can also have a nice lunch here too.

Great food and service well worth it.
Unfortunately, they will be shutting down the restaurant portion.
They have a lot of products there. Meat products.

Very delicious food (photo on the bottom is their poutine) Has a nice big bathroom with necessities and a nice shop area with shelves they rent out

Awesome local spot to eat, drink and buy locally made goods. Had the smoked chicken pesto on sourdough. It was delicious. Along with the bubble tea! Definitely a spot to stop on the way back home.

First of all, the restaurant deserves a 5 star review. Amazing food and service.
The staff at both the restaurant and the gift shop are truly amazing.

However, I do feel like it needs to be stated that the gift shop is making a pretty big mistake in selling sage bundles specifically marked as smudging sage.
In native culture it is not appropriate to sell sage, sweet grass, feathers or any other ceremonial items such as this.
I would seriously reconsider this choice if you would not like to offend traditional indigenous beliefs and those who follow them.

As previously stated, the service is great, so is the food and the whole experience and this should not take away from that.

A colleague recommended this place and it was the best place to chill! Their IPA choices are so good and the grilled cheese was perfect!

If you’re in Nanton, you should eat and shop here. The perfect meeting spot! Good coffee, local ingredients and marketplace, delicious food (try the brisket-stuffed Yorkshires!), lovely staff, a give-one/take-one library, playground for kids and outdoor seating. Nothing but good things to say about it.

In April 2023, we were travelling through Nanton, a local recommended The Hive for lunch. Food service was fast and the meals tasted home made. As well they offer locally brewed beers. In addition to the restaurant, there is a large variety of locally made goods; jams, honey, clothes, premium Alberta beef, jewelry and others, all appear to be high quality.

Great grilled cheese sandwiches! I added the pulled pork! It was awesome! Service was great!

Awesome, would love to spend more time there. Perhaps stop in for a meal, have craft beer and a burger? Who knew! I do know that there are so many small vendors that we have not seen before and there is agreat selection of.lroduct. I had no idea how many products try casually. The Red Shed was amazing bought tomatoes, cocktails tomatoes, cucumbers, Rainbow Chard, flat beans, and then cookies and Cinnamon buns from the varied vendors. Amazing! Will go to Claresholm and check-out the new location!

We had lunch at the Hive yesterday. It was fantastic! 10/10 on all 4 meals. The staff is also wonderful. Proud to have such a wonderful business in our community!

Fantastic place. Great food and staff. Cool little place to shop around and have a bite to eat. Wonderful service and food.

Avoid place for a bite to eat and have a nice drink with local breweries and to buy local crafts.

Love this store! It has the most unique beautiful things. I met one of the owners and she is so welcoming and friendly. Definitely worth the drive.

I absolutely love The Hive, there isn't enough bragging words to describe this place! The atmosphere is amazing, the food is delicious and the wide variety of the goodies inside is endless! Like you need to make a couple trips around the store because you likely missed something the first go around (i guarantee you did) Oh and they sell Briskets (insert drool face) so the food you can buy and take home is pretty fabulous! Everything from briskets to seafood they have it all!

Anyways, highly suggest you stop in and see what they have to offer! P. S they have a Facebook page you don't want to miss as well!

Its a nifty Little place that has everything you could want, Funny thing is I only popped in thinking I could buy some fresh Honey LOL I was so surprised to see the store was full of other Items, there is even a little deli inside. Well worth a stop if you are driving through Nanton.
