I believe her name was Kris with the green hair. She was very helpful multitasking helping a bunch of customers within the time frame I was there.

Went into Home Depot looking for a patio deck box that was on sale for $99.00, asked a store associate for help, her name was Lois and she was exceptional with her customer service, she hopped on the radio requesting season employee customer service support, and with it being Boxing Day. It was busy, so I understood the wait, she went above and beyond and reached out to the manager to assist me getting the storage deck box from the garden centre that was closed. His name was Mohan, very professional and quick! He even gave me $10 off! Thank you Lois and Mohan for the wonderful shopping experience. I really appreciate it. I hope Lois gets a big shout out for getting me the help I needed today! Thank you again!

I went to Loews went out the wrong exit door. A staff guy came after me aggressively for doing so. I actually thought he was going to assault me. After this, I went to Home Depot. Very helpful and polite and. You can use whatever door you like. Curious.

George in the plumbing section is hands down the single best HD staffer I have ever come across. Because of him my wife has a working shower tonight with hot water. If you could make 100 of him the HD stock would be worth more than Amazon. What a pleasure to come across someone so knowledgeable. 10/10 would invite him over for a BBQ.

He was the one who initiated the conversation by asking me if there was anything he could assist me with.
His knowledge of my issue was top-notch, and his recommendations helped me fix my plumbing problem.
This man should have his own store.

*update* after giving a one star review with original review after this Home Depot has done good on the mess up this morning and now is receiving a five star. Tool was to blame and was sorry that the proper sized nail wasn’t available. Was able to get the correct amount needed from the back room to do the job.

My father rented a powder actuated fastening tool and it did not work. Not only did we waste more time but also money in the process of figuring it out.

First shot with everything purchased and rented from home depot was a dud as was the second. Ended up sinking them more by hand than anything. Looking at the manual, with the issue I was having it recommended a larger shot. Go back to Home Depot to find larger shot to find out they don’t carry them. Go to a local fastener shop and get home. Put the new, higher power shot in and it had the exact same results.

I have every reason to believe that this tool was rented to my father without any inspection done to it and it looked like maintenance has not been done as rust build up in the tool

Normally a good place, but they recently stopped letting people bring their dogs in so I won't be going there anymore.

Carlos at the Home Depot on 130th went above and beyond with our plumbing needs. His customer service was top notch. Thank you Carlos!

Showed what I was looking for 2 of them they told where it would be in but they both sent me on a wild goose chase waste o time, asked a third person who directed me in the right direction

This is one of my favorite stores, a hugh selection with very knowledgeable department assistance. It is not a true lumber store and some lumber selections is minimal. But then overall everything else you have a very big selection and all the modern trend. I Easley get lost in the store for hour's. Definitely a must atleast once a week. I will drive an hour to get my home depot fix.

Great selection and competitive prices. It’s a must stop for any outdoor tool, construction material in a pinch kinda scenario. Always one around too.

Shawn at Customer Service was super helpful. I went in looking for a new cartridge for my kitchen sink faucet and because of him and his knowledge I was able to get a free one (warranty) instead of paying $25.

The 2 older gentlemen in the plumbing area helped me find the part and they were especially nice to my 2 year old little girl.
Its easy to see that they like kids. It was a good experience. My daughter loves “shopping at daddy’s store”
Which makes me happy because I like shopping there too!

Waited around for 20 minutes when they say they are going to get someone to help twice. Bad service.

My son I went to Home Depot on 130th to rent out a truck van in the rental section. Once we got there; we were told that there was 2 available. The employee who was there was very nice and helpful We were about to get it but one employee said I have to ask my manager if you can rent it out for 24 hours. Than the manager said yes what are you using it for? We said we are moving some sofas and taking some lumber to the landfill. The tool manager right away said “no”. So he told us to go to rent a truck from uhaul. While we were on our way to uhaul, we decided to call other Home Depot store chinook, okotoks they both said we can take the van trucks to the landfill as long as we bring it back as it is. They didn’t have any trucks at the time. We then came back to 130th Home Depot furious and decided we wanted to talk to the manager on duty darcey. He than said he will ask his big boss about the policy. He thinks we can not take the car to a landfill. His big boss was a lady not sure her name was. Said we can not rent the truck Van at all. She said it’s for people who buy stuff from them. She also said she called other Home Depot and they have the same policy. She lied and said he we can’t rent the truck for personal uses. Only for people we buy Home Depot things. He said we have that policy and than we told him to check with the store manager and she said the same thing. They said they called shawnessy, okotoks and they have the same policy as them. We are so frustrated and disappointed that the fact they lied. We will never ever go there again. This is sad to be honest we got treated this way. We are just customers who are bringing service to them. They are sending us away as customer, I don’t understand why we treated this way, because we dark skin people. Anyways managers should be fair not just side there employees if they are treating customers unjustly. The worst person was the female manager. The most employees where helpful except the tool manger.

I hate to be that person that writes a bad review, but when you feel like someone was treated completely unfairly you do what you need to do to bring the issue to a company’s attention so that it doesn’t continue to happen to other people. Some incidences are just a little too extreme to not speak up about.

My husband and my mother in law were treated really horribly today at this location. They were basically told off about something they asked for, something that every other location in the city seemed to have a different answer for when they inquired. Even if this happens to be the only location in the entire city with separate rules from every other store (which is highly unlikely), they still could’ve been talked to respectfully, like how all respectful customers deserve to be spoken to. There’s no reason - EVER, to threaten a customer or to speak to them like they are your worst enemy when this is the only encounter you’ve ever had with them and all they did was ask a question. Threats are not tolerated from a customer to an employee so I don’t see why it should be tolerated the other way around. Which leads us to believe that there was an ulterior motive for them to be treated so harshly over a simple question. The blonde lady who is shorter and middle aged perhaps could use a refresher in customer service and a reminder of how to talk to people of all ethnicities and in all different circumstances, because I’m pretty sure Home Depot doesn’t want their great reputation being ruined by prejudice or miserable employees.

One suggestion would be to make sure that all locations could abide by the same policies so that one location doesn’t seem like they are blatantly unwilling or lying to their customers when all the rest of the Home Depot stores were more than willing to do what was asked of them.

I went into Home Depot not knowing where to find the things I needed, one of the associates Craig was very helpful and guided me for everything I needed. Will definitely be going back!

It is my preferred store to go to I like it very much, as to why only 3 stars is due to the noticeable avoidance of the staff now to engage the patrons customers in regards to any possible question or help you might need in regards to a product. Not just my experience but I witnessed 4 times already were customers were looking for an expert but no where to be found and the ones that saw them just continue walking, a few of us that knew the product helped each other. One my last visit had to ask a random person that was looking at the same product that I was interested on purchasing and she was able to help me and compare other products. I like you home depot but you need to improve fast and addressed what ever internal staffing issues you are having. Your competitor across the street on 130th is doing much better at it.

Love this Home Depot! I always walk in clueless but there's always someone knowledgable eager to help! I always get what I need even though I didn't know what it is that I needed when I walked in!

I went there to get special light bulbs, agent helped me to find the appropriated aisle and location.

Very difficult to get warranty (or post warranty) work done from this location. We purchased shutters for all of our windows in our home years ago, and the levers have all become brittle, and broken over time. We have tried to get parts, or service to repair these, but all we get is a run-around from the store, and get redirected from department to department.

We were able to get a few of these these fixed under warranty a few years back, but our contact there has left. At that time it took more than 6 months to have someone to come out to fix these shutters. It's very frustrating, as these shutters were quite expensive, and no one at the store level can offer any suggestions, or expertise on how to get them fixed, or to help us find parts for them, so we can fix on our own.

Was shopping for a new stove as ours was broken. Was helped by a fellow in appliances that wasn't high pressure and gave me the facts. Not so much for other stores in the area. Thanks home depot!

Ordered specialty plywood online. Picked up curbside once in stock. Friendly, efficient service. Highly recommend. Curbside is easy to use as they provide a link in email to notify store personnel you've arrived.

Tried their online pickup system for getting some salt for the water softener. Worked like a charm, rolled up and hit the button on the email and they came out with the 6 bags of salt in about 5 minutes. Fellow was nice and loaded it into the trunk for me which was much appreciated. Great service.

Have a couple of experiences with online ordering. The first, I ordered some firewood covers. I was given a delivery date. Well.that came and went and then a couple months went by. I called and they told me they couldn't get the required product and would refund me. Had I not called.hell I'm sure they would have just kept it.
Second.ordered a Rigid impact. "Will deliver between Oct 21-23. " I get a notification this AM, "Order is delayed. New delivery date is Oct 27. "
Had I known this initially I would NOT have ordered this.
Online ordering is apparently a work in progress. Let some other unsuspecting sap be the guinea pig.

USELESS! Went to this store to get chicken wire roll of 2 feet by 25 feet, 41 in stock according to the website.none in stock! Seriously!

No change is a good thing sometimes, I used to work for the company, still is my preferred store for building materials. Not 5 star worthy though.

I went there to get a sanding pad for a Mastercraft oscillating tool, which luckily came with an adapter for Dremel attachments (see second picture). I say luckily because what a found at the store (see second picture) was a different model from the one advertised online (see the first picture). When I asked for assistance to find the item I had seen online the guy that came to "help" me find it stuck to telling me that that was the right item according with the store's SKUs numbers and when I tried to tell him about the discrepancy between the manufacturer's model numbers he just kept telling me that that was the right item according to the store numbers. So I just decided to get the one they had available and try the adapter I had at home, luckily the adapter worked perfectly and I was able to use the attachment without any problems.

Update: it seems like they have corrected this mistake, at the time of writing this review, they no longer have online the picture of the item in question here. The picture of this item (first picture) that I post in this review I got from the Amazon Canada website, it's exactly the same item model number and the same price, so I decided to use it instead.

Caution, Homedepot don't "rekey" new locks!

For the low rating: waste of time, energy and at the end, I requested refund. Disappointed with my experience - I had never seen it before or expected. It isn't the same Homedepot anymore.

I really like this location - the only thing that is strange, is when you have an exchange they refund your previous item to your debit/credit card and then you are charged for your new item. Why do you give money back when you are just going to take it again? LOL. Wouldn't it be easier to do one transaction for the customer (doing an exchange) instead of refunding then charging the customer?

This Home Depot is amazing! We looked everywhere for portable propane and found it here! Can’t express enough for my gratefulness for a store that cares what the general public needs! Thank you with tears!

It is a good place for industrial purchases, but unfortunately it has few staff to help in choosing the type and application of equipment and even some goods that do not have a price tag, especially in the sale of wood.

Great staff. Got paint and left in a hurry. Forgot my wallet on the shopping cart. They held on to it. Great honesty

Staff are very helpful and nice! Easy to find what I needed for my house. Clean and organized. I like that they still have hand sanitizer stations. Big parking lot! Excellent customer service over all.

I had to buy some paint and I went to 2 locations - Lowe's and Home depot. Lowe's customer service at the paint department was excellent and friendly. The customer service at HD in the paint department, however, was not so helpful nor friendly. I had to buy items from 4 different departments and each worker from those departments at HD were helpful and friendly. It was just in the paint department that I encountered a slight problem.

I spent over a half hour phoning them. And every department they have. And no one would even answer the phone. Not very grateful during a pandemic for your business

Everyone are so courteous and helpful. Joanna & Riches in garden centre were friendly and helpful. So as the hardware section, Akemi at the cashier was also very nice and resourceful. She asked a yonge gentleman on the helper staff to give us a hand with lifting some of the heady items we purchased, unfortunately I didn't get his name but we made our purchase on May 20. Kevin in lumber area was so knowledgeable, helpful and always there to help. He gave us a great outline of all the necessary items to build a deck and even answered all the questions we had regarding installation. Hope he gets recognition for such a great employee he is.

Went over for customer service to ask if I can get the receipt for my purchase about 5 months ago.
And we bought our merchandise with my hubby’s card so needed to get the card number and all different info for Rachael who dealt with me.
It took a while for her to wait for me to give her all the informations but she patiently waited and figured out all i needed!
She is super nice and so helpful!

Out of all the different construction stores. Bahaha 3 of them. Home depot has the best prices. Even with contractors pricing at rona, home depot stl beat all else.

Good luck getting a hold of them on the phone. No matter how long you wait, no one will answer your call to customer service or any other departments.
Then you go and see around 6 of them standing around chatting with each other at customer service and still have to wait for someone to notice you standing there waiting for help.
Then they’ll proceed to tell you the wrong section to look in for what you came there for.
Incredibly frustrating and has happened multiple times.

Great place. Very helpful and knowable staff. Took the time to listen to what I wanted and offered better solutions to my needs. End of the day they saved me money.

The guy in electrical was very helpful ans we discussed the issues of not carrying a wide array of doorbell transformers for today's connected home.

Had very good service. We were looking for an item but couldn't find it. We easily found a worker who quickly found us what we were looking for, as well pointed us in right direction for another item that was on our list.

The staff are friendly & know where all the products are in the store. I would highly recommend them for any of your hardware & painting needs. As well good sale prices on their products.

Best place to rent tools and equipment.also wonderful customer service throughout the store George in electrical is amazing in customer service, kindness and knowledge!

Had a great experience at customer service. Shelby was super helpful and focused on making shopping here an enjoyable experience.

Used to shop here because I knew the store and the prices were always solid. Tried to use the warranty on a life time warranty item. They told me to go see the manufacturer and they wouldn't do anything. Customer service was completely uncooperative.
I guess Brain Baulmer has it right with shopping at Lowe's.

I don't know what has happened to home Depot but the stores in Canada look worn, and tired and unkempt particularly compared to Lowe's and just try to find anyone that knows anything, it is like shopping at the Bay all of a sudden. Also they used to have good deals but have gone to the insanely priced everyday strategy that Canadian Tire employs and the only deals are sales where stuff is some crazy amount off to get it to a realistic price.
