We had a gentleman with a great sense of humor help us find exactly what we were looking for. It was on sale, right before Christmas, and other stores were terrible busy and out of stock. We'll look here first next time.

Spent a half hour in HD, 10 minutes in the plumbing area looking for the proper pieces I needed, 10 minutes looking for an associate, and another 10 waiting for the plumbing associate that never did show up. Very likely the last time I will darken their doors.

Home depot is just a fun place. I know the 1st Saturday of every month they did crafts for kids. Not sure if that do that here in Alberta but here's hoping

Waited to leave this review to process it and think it over.

This review is for Neil I assume is a kitchen "designer"

My client a Red Deer restaurant owner asked me to get them some more table top for their restaurant and believed they had previously purchased the tops from home Depot. When I got to home Depot the butcher block countertops stated they had a Live Edge, so I called the client and asked if this is what they had they said that they did not have Live Edge on theirs so I found Neil to ask if I could open a countertop to see if it had Live Edge all around. Neil stated that it did have a square Edge on it and I pointed out the Live Edge was not Square. Again I asked if I could open the package to see if it had Square edges on one side or Live Edge all around. Neil said they don't open packages and they can't sell them as displays (I was going to pay full price if it was the right product). As I'm still on the phone with the client trying to find an answer about this product before we spend $600 on it Neil gets irritated and starts ripping open the package. Showing obvious irritation I was on the phone while talking to him but It was with the client that was purchasing the product, he then asks where my cart is and he can to just load them up.at this time I was unsure of what was really happening and why he was so irritated. I told him I didn't want his help anymore and it was just the client on the phone that I was with trying to find out about your product.

I happily left went to Lowe's in red deer and they didn't have the product in stock so I actually drove all the way to Calgary that same day to Lowe's in cross iron Mills for the right product.

You work in a customer service industry if you're having a bad day take a mental health day and stay home, you don't know what the people are going through you have to deal with so treat everyone with respect.

Oh my goodness gracious so much staff and no one knows where anything is nor can anyone move faster than a snails pace.painful place to go if you don't know where something is at.was on my way from work to grab some thing on my break. I literally had to beg someone to help me.

Jus like every big box store, there's never an associate around when u need one and they are sometimes weirdly out of stock of that one thing I desperately need.
Despite all that, the staff I do find are helpful and the stock that I can purchase, can been easily returned when I ended up buying the wrong thing.

I went to this store to find some paper window shades the website said they had lots so I go to where they should be and can't find them so I start to look around for someone who works here when I do spot some one they notice I am walking towards them they do a 180 and do a fast walk in the other direction now I would thing okay they are helping someone else and missed the lane they needed to go down if this didn't happen 2 more times.

The floor staff seem to avoid helping customers as much as possible.

Now the customer service staff on the other hand instead of calling someone up to the front to take me to where the items I wanted were she took me her self of course the item was not where it should be but still for her to take me to the area and not just call someone up is impressive

My friend was ordering new kitchen cabinets. I was impressed with the service, attention to details, vast selection of choices. The young woman serving us put every detail into their computer program and was able to give us a fairly decent representation of what all the components would look like together.

I wanted to return two doors that I hadn't even picked up yet and was told I could not return them online or over the phone. I drove to the store with my receipt and waited for 30 minutes while the girl played with her computer. I was then told one of the doors was already returned and I would not receive my money for ten business days. It took THREE staff members to "help" me. No apology for being slow. Waste of my time I will never purchase anything from this place again.

I love going to home depot, but the wait time for the building desk on the phone is terrible. I can never get through after being on hold for over 15 minutes every time I call so I just hang up

This location of Home Depot has the best staff I’ve ever had in a large chain store outlet. The red deer store is unique as it has a fantastic cadre of staff who focus mainly on the customer service. They also have a great deal of knowledge about the various products that they carry. Their selection is very good and the store is very well organized and put together! Keep up the great work!

Love Home Depot. They have such a huge variety of goods. The staff are friendly and helpful. They could use a few more staff as you have to go look for them.

I like the young kids at work in the lumber department they're easy to talk to anyone that works in the store is pretty easy to talk to it's a good place to shop at when you need certain things

Majority of the employees are typical employees of any large corporation.but there’s always one or two who have some real knowledge on specific thin gas there passionate about. This Home Depot I’ve found one older gentleman as well as a lady in the paint section. Both have a lot of knowledge to share.

I do really appreciate her customer skill & help me to find great products and offer great deals & her customer service was awesome. The man in charge of the commercial pickups outside was i credibly rude for no reason, which was a shame after we had such great service from a young man in the seasonal section

Walked in to greeter texting and didnt even look up. Couldnt find anyone to help me load bricks. I even walked all the way to flooring and still couldn't find help. I gave up and found a yellow ladder to reach off the pallet on the second rack.

Online order wasn't even shipped for a week after placing order, then delivery date got moved up a week from original date. Still waiting.

Rude employees, yelled at me for a solid 5 minutes about how returns are different from exchanges. After the 5 minutes she clicks a few things says they don't have another sink and here is my refund. I walked back to the shelf found 4 more. WILL NEVER SHOP HERE AGAIN

I go in here all the time. They almost always have what I need. The staff is somewhat helpful depending who you ask but they're all pleasant. They honor mask exemptions which is a huge positive for me.

Update: I had the displeasure of renting a 1 man auger from Rob. Nothing was disclosed as far as cleaning upon return or a $25 charge. But he happily joked about it and took the piece to the back. He came back and I asked if he was joking and he said no I will be charged $25 - so I said well give it back and I'll clean it. Again, none of this was disclosed when I picked it up and wouldn't have been a problem if it was communicated correctly. Some places clean rented tools and I know this from experience. The whole situation could've been handled a lot better. I will be renting tools elsewhere.

Price increases are very evident comparatively from last year.
However, I really do love the customer service in this store. I give it 5 stars for great service.

Typical home depot. Large store with lots of parking. We were expecting clearly marked entry and exit doors with the new Covid restrictions in place. Not so. One door was not marked at all. One door was marked exit with the 3rd door marked as both entry and exit. Very confusing.

Help hard to find. Waited over half an hour while had to ask a third then fourth worker to help. Even though they have a fancy radio. Still didn't get what we came for & left. Be prepared for spending lots of time here waiting for assistance. Same as last visit here, had to wait and wait for help.

Couldn't find help, went to customer service to ask for assistance. Lady pointed to worker standing at desk and said he can help you. His response, sorry I'm not in right now you can leave a message.my response, this is the exact reason I'm going to Lowes. What a disgrace.

I swear they take a course on how to avoid customers. If it's your area you should be there to help the customer. If I gotta walk 5 aisle down to talk to someone about something I'll just stay on the north end and go to Rona.

Really nice staff that come and check on you to make sure you finding everything ok- older gentleman named Gary welcomed us then checked in with us during our shopping great customer service.

I always get what I need. Sometimes it takes longer than I'd like to get a question answered or cuts done, but in understand there's only so many staff.

Store was a bit cluttered. Out door Xmas planters need some love. When visiting with staff I don't appreciate management hanging around. Just saying. RESPECT. RESPECT

Very helpful and pleasant staff. We needed some advice and the first customer service rep.discussed the issue with a second rep.who flagged down a third rep.whose department was the one that I needed and voila.problem solved. Much appreciated!

Super easy to find things with people that are very helpful and always willing to help you find whatever it is your looking for, haven't had a hard time getting help here for a very long time.
