Decent selection, but let down by sometimes unenthusiastic staff who seem to sometimes actively avoid customers looking for assistance.

I have had the worst customer service experience of my life with Home Depot. It's frankly hard for me to even believe just how bad.

I purchased custom blinds from them.
They sent me the wrong blinds. This was an error with either Home Depot or the Vendor. The blinds shipped do not match the receipt. Home Depot support has stated repeatedly that they cannot offer a refund on custom orders.

I have spoken to over 20 Home Depot representatives over the last month, including several escalation specialists. I finally received an email from (supposedly) their head office, promising a refund over a week ago. No refund is pending on my VISA.

I will be disputing the charges with VISA and never doing business with Home Depot again. I warn everyone else to expect no form of helpful customer service if dealing with Home Depot.

Update: : I did eventually receive the promised refund. Funnily enough less than 24 hours after threatening to dispute the charge with VISA. Updating to 2-stars, since while they did eventually resolve the issue it remains the most stressful customer service interaction I have had to date.

I am very disappointed in the encounter that I had today. Is was in the blinds section looking to purchase blinds for our newly built home. I went searching for someone and the lady that came to assist was very rude and totally dismissive. She assumed we didn’t have money to spend on custom cuts. When I was explaining what I need her response was “ok” is a condescending tone. This made me put down the blinds that I was willing to purchase and walk out as I was left very uncomfortable

Most of the employees were friendly except for the lady that was called to assist us in the decor section. When she arrived at the aisle, she told us they were very busy today and when I told her that I needed some blinds cut, her reply was "obviously". Now I'm not a customer service expert but I do believe there were other responses she could have used. Do better Home Depot.

Exceptional customer service from staff member Neiko who definitely went above and beyond with his level of care and assistance in my purchase. Took me throughout the store helping me locate everything I needed and initiated the contact from the beginning. Very happy to return to this location!

Poorest service ever. We ordered a stove to be delivered June 9, still haven’t seen it and apparently the store doesn’t know anything. Took off countless hrs from work and delivery never showed. Ordered a fridge they brought the wrong one, cancelled the order and days later the fridge showed up (that was cancelled). Was told to be in the store to have ourMastercard refunded, drove 40 miles in to find that we didn’t need to do that either. Still unresolved.

Drove from 2 hours out of town to buy a BBQ that they had multiple in stock but 2 or 3 sales people couldn’t find even one of the BBQ after making my family wait for 30 minutes and said come back another day. When I called to talk to the manager on Monday she said I should have talked to her and made it sound like it was my fault.

Trevor, the team in the loading bay and guest services were so fantastic when I had quite a few things to pick up over the May long weekend. It was very busy but everyone was very friendly & provided exceptional service.

I love this location, but it can get expensive because their home decor is too beautiful to pass by without purchasing. They have a great selection of clothing, home decor, housewares, small appliances, building and renovation supplies. Always orderly and the staff is extremely kind and helpful. One of my favourite stores in Lethbridge.

Just a shout out to the amazing staff working today! I feel like I live at home depot because. RENOS! Every time I have returned something it is seamless! So quick, so simple and great customer service. Today my child spilt a paint can all over the floor and they just smiled and said "Oh don't worry, we will just get a spill kit and clean it up! " They were so happy and carefree about cleaning up the spilt paint. AND THEN when I went to pay for spilt paint they wouldn't let me! They said it was an accident and not to worry about it. I tried to pay for it 3 times and the beautiful soul of a cashier kept politely saying "No". I seriously almost cried happy tears! They then got me a cart and made sure the new paint can was in a bag, nicely tied up. They asked me if they could help me out to my car even! Just so impressed with the sweet souls that work at the Lethbridge Mayor Magrath drive Home depot! Thank you for making my day!

I actually just finished giving the Lowe's across the street a 2 star review. Ironic that this store yet again gets 5 stars from me. The staff here are friendly, they know their stuff, they make sure you find what you need. Also what makes this store better, is the hastle free return. If something didn't work out, I don't want to have a fight on my hands to get my money back. Who has time for this anymore? Apparently Lowe's does. They don't seem to care about happy customers or good reviews. Which is cool. I saved my stars for this review. I know this is a big box stores and there is a huge shop local movement right now. The way I see it, the people who work here are my neighbours, my customers and the people I bump into at the grocery store. In my mind that's local. I appreciate the work they are putting in to keep us safe during this pandemic. The store is always clean and organized. The staff constantly approach you to make sure you know where to find what you are looking for. Stay away from the Lowe's across the street. Unless you prefer zero human interaction, poor return procedures and rude management. If that's your thing, stay away from Home Depot and shop at Lowe's.

Went in for 1 thing not related to Halloween and got a great deal on some more Halloween decor for our yard. Deb the manager was super nice and told us she would discount even more.

Great service and friendly staff, easy returns. All employees wear masks. Nice and clean store. Friendly staff lots of good deals. Store is always clean and smells nice. Great variety of hardware, home decor and home utility products. Parking is easy and pretty accessible.

This was my first visit to this store. It was a welcoming environment and the staff were friendly. Will definitely be back.

Staff are super helpful. Easy to find what I am looking for. Very spacious store. Love buying their plants during the summer. ALWAYS buy their Easter lilies and pretty soon it's time to buy some beautiful poinsettia's if they will be available.

I did get lumber from Home Depot. Very happy with customer service. Especially with Mr Gunderson who helped me all the way. Thank you very much.

Home Depot struggles to keep things in stock and does not order soon enough. Next shipment date for the items I need is in 2 weeks. Do better home depot. Just Do better.

Don't waste your time at this store, very hard to get someone on the phone and if you get to talk to someone they don't know anything you asked for and on top of that never ever rent something from there rentels, they will charge you a bunch of extra money, you better off buying your own tool or trailer what ever you where going to rent because you'll end up paying for it anyways

The staff are very knowledgeable in many different areas helping with so many different DIY projects. The prices are usually fair and they a great payment program to spread larger project over 18 equal payments.

When you can't find hand sanitizer anywhere in the city and you go online and home depot Lethbridge says they have 24 bottles so you head there immediately to find out from them that the staff at home depot buy all the sanitizer before anyone in the public can. Not impressed

Almost always get good customer service. The only downside is finding someone sometimes. Prices are decent and the product is top notch.

They beat Eecol Electric and on the parts they were expensive on they discount to Eecol's price. Very friendliest staff ever! Nice and warm in the store. They had everything i needed for my networking needs! It was really nice to see the staff having a kids field trip from one of the local schools. So cool store.

Alot of knowledgeable staff eager to assist. Such a huge variety of things from tools to appliances and kitchen cabinets. Fou d some furniture oil that i havent been able to find in any other stores. Prices are good. Love this store

Very busy place needs more staff watching ur every move I know you think everyone is trying to rob you but do you have to make it so obvious that you're following a" valued" customer mean 8 inches of space would be great

I love the store I am regular here and will continue to be as a service provided by both the normal attendance and the pro desk is phenomenal. Any questions are always asked with nothing but informative suggestions and solutions to any problem you can come up with. Also like to give a shout out to Lane as he is an awesome example of a customer service representative.

Don't do anything in the rental area.they dont give you all the information you need and dont tell you the cost of things and they do not ask you how long you need their product for.and charge you an arm and a leg and on to of it, then they will turn around and call you a lier on top of ignorant attitude and dont bother asking for management either cause they will treat you exactly the same way.unfortunately they just lost out on multiple thousands of dollars on my renovations. 5 bedroom, 4 level split all being redone.
