Got my trim and screws, in and out in 15min. Normally don't look around, end up buying stuff that I don't need

Would rather drive 30 minutes extra and go to the one on Strathcona than coming to this place. Had to wait for one hour to wait for an employee to help us get a tool. On top of that, the cashier asked us how long the moulding is. We told her it is 45 inches. She rolled her eyes and said: well, I need the foot. Well, just do the calculation then. You get paid to figure that stuff out. What a joke.

Very frequent shopper as I truly love doing my own work around the house. Went this morning to pick up some drywall. Store very quiet as I worked to load 6 sheets of drywall on too a flatbed cart. A little heavy yea as they are taped two together but super awkward to move with just one person and a cart that is rolling around. I had no less then 3 employees watch or walk by with no offer of assistance. It would have taken 3 minutes and all of them with nothing more pressing I am sure. When outside and loading into the truck, granted a little easier, but again, one employee stacking wood and one looking for carts to take back of which there was none because it was so early, but not an offer to help. Whatever happened to customer service? Simple things like offering a hand. I was at Costco the other day and saw and elderly couple come of of the store and roll their cart up to their van with 14 bags of softener salt. No Costco employee around to help either. You should not have to ask for help, it should just be common sense and service to offer help. Oh yes! Of course I walked over and loaded all of their salt into their van and then put the cart away for them, because that is the right thing to do. Seriously disappointed! I should give credit to one young Lady at the front desk who is always awesome and always very helpful. If I get her name I will post that with 5 stars.

Garden centre deserves five stars because of the customer service. The reason I gave it for Stars is because it can be hard to find stuff inside when you need help.

Went in looking for a smoke detector replacement. Ran into 2 associates in the paint section. Directed to aisle 5 and the associate would send someone to help me. Help never came. No associates to be seen in the proximity of aisle 5. I finally picked a detector - fingers crossed. Hope it will work. Went to pay for my purchase. No cashiers. Just self checkouts. And the two associates supervising self checkouts. Zero help and they expect you to work for free too. Associates are hard to actually get assistance from but you can spot them in pods of 2 or 3 conversing and socializing with no cares in the world - on a Saturday around noon in nooks around the store. It's nice to know that Home Depot Windermere believes in paying associates to do nothing and having customers work for free. Interesting new business model. I would not recommend them. Unless you know what you are looking for and enjoy working for free to do their jobs for them, or, are a contractor that they do hire cashiers for, skip this location. Yet another in the new trend of businesses that seem to hire people for show and not to help when you need it.

We purchased vinyl flooring for our condo unit from this location. We also purchased underlay from them, at the time of the flooring purchase, as it is required for our building. We had a contractor install the flooring/underlay and now the floor is lifting at the joints all over. When we went in to discuss this they informed us that the flooring we used cannot be used with underlay. All they are willing to do is offer us a store credit in the amount we paid for the underlay. All of the flooring needs to be replaced as the joints are peel and stick but they won't take responsibility for supplying incompatible items. We now need to buy new flooring and plan to replace carpets and baseboards but we certainly won't be back to Home Depot ever again.

Staff are friendly and eager to help.

I rented a trailer when I took it back two Home Depot young men helped me and told me I was good to go. I went in to tell man in rental centre and he told me I had to go back out and rebook the trailer up. He was rude and disrespectful. Then I went in to buy stain and when I went to use it it would not mix and blend when I stirred it. The last incident I bought epoxy it would not harden I mixed it as instructed but it would not harden when I took it back I was refused my money back or store credit. I will never shop there again.

We bought 6 blackout cellular window blinds. Approx $700 spent. We needed them trimmed as the size we needed was not a manufactured size. The staff member we had cut 2 of them wrong and those ended up in the garbage. The ends were all very jagged. When hubby asked about that the staff was like oh the end cap covers that! OR you could cut them properly to start with!? ! We are home to install them only to discover HE CUT THEM ALL WRONG! Like you have one job. He even brought out his measuring tape to check where he cut? ! They were all out. Not impressed at all.

This review is only for getting through to the proper department by phone Windermere Home Depot. I was waiting 25 minutes, being pushed to various departments. Even customer service was unhelpful to page the correct sales person.
I drove to the store as I live nearby and the person concerned said he was never paged to answer the phone.

Please install a system to inform salespeople that a customer who has bought an item is on hold.

I had to get some paint I bought there retinted. I bought the original paint code for a house I was working on fie a friend. He didn't tell me he'd repainted 3 years ago and didn't know the new color. Edwardo retinted my lighter paint to what he thought it should be and it was perfect. He saved me $60.00, since I didn't have to buy more paint.

Hit or miss. Some staff couldn't be bothered to help but some were quite helpful.

We went to store to purchase over the range microwave and and induction range. Try to ask some questions from the sales person on the specs of the appliances, little to no knowledge and in middle he left us to talk to his friend which becomes a 15 min wait, eventually we left but fully disappointed at their service.

I came here to find landscaping rocks. The location had some but not much to choose from. Thinking that this a home depot in Windermere I was expecting more variety. Otherwise the garden center is good. For landscaping materials, the old Strathcona location is best; I found the marble chips I wanted! Unlikely to come to this location as Windermere is out of my way!

I got price match for the garage opener Chamberlain. Very good price happened to be on sale and in stock. Customer service is very helpful and friendly.

"Can be disorganized with aisles messy. Help can be hit and miss. Not a very well run location. " -This was my review three years ago.

Some things have improved since then, the aisles are not as messy and the inventory accuracy has improved on the website. However, the staff (and Managers) are still not very knowledgeable nor willing to compromise, when it comes to price negotiation and customer satisfaction. I was buying a dishwasher and was easily able to get a lower price at the Southgate Home Depot location whereas this location would NOT entertain any discussion on price (with an arrogant attitude I might add). I was told that the appliance manager "can not" authorize lower prices. Overall, with my various experiences at this Home Depot, I still think it continues to be not very well run with confusion at management levels.

Shout out to Rob and Damian who spent extra time helping me and my father while we were working on a problem with the kitchen faucet. We really appreciated their help!

The employees here were extremely helpful and friendly when helping me select items for my basement development and facilitating deliveries for larger items like the vanity and appliances as I do not have access to a pickup truck. Also, this locations garden centre is by far the best in the Windermere area!

Horrible customer service. I still around for 10 minutes waiting for two guys to finish their conversation. And when I asked where sawhorses were they just pointed and continue their conversation as if I was bothering them. Once I got to the sawhorses nothing was priced.
When I went back and approached the gentleman they said you should’ve asked me for prices. Is there anything else I can do for you Mr. Home Depot guy perhaps get you a latte how about a foot massage? Lows here I come! A little bit further drive but they have exceptional customer service in South Common!

I will intentionally go here, over Canadian tire due to the fact that I am ALWAYS asked if I need help.it's nice having an abundance of staff around and approaching to help out. Always have good stock too.

Highly recommended with the service and staff at Home Depot Windermere. Abraham and Nivedita at Customer Service helped us with our returns and purchased. They are very helpful and friendly! Two thumbs up to the both of you! We will surely come back at this store!

Wanted to give 5 stars to Nivedita for her exceptional customer service skills today for me. And saved me from a very expensive gift card fraud. I did all the precautions but something seemed fishy about the seller (buyer beware). She super quickly went above and beyond her duties and rapidly provided me a new gift card and transferred the funds onto it so I could take my time shopping for the shower renos.

Thank you again for your exceptional service skills and saving my money. This gesture goes a long way

Went to home depot to return some unused items. The lady was very helpful and understanding, even though I had several items that I did not have a bill for. I wish more big box stores were like this.

Ordered a tube of caulk online for in-store pick up at Windermere. Before I proceeded to customer service to pick up the item I decided to picked up a few more items for my current project. I must have passed 10 associates In different areas who were all just chatting. I’m completely fine with this but not when there are customers needing help.

I finally found the items I was looking for and headed to customer service to pick up my order. After a moment one of the multiple associates standing around, asked what they could help me with. I told them I was picking up an order and I was immediately deferred to someone else. I continually felt I was inconveniencing the staff. The associate that did end up helping me with my online order was friendly and allowed me to purchase the items I had grabbed at the customer service counter.

When I arrived home I went to use the caulk I ordered, took the cap off and it was already cut. I flipped the item over and 1/3rd of the caulk had been used… Needless to say I’m disappointed.

Lots of workers walking around, asking if you need help, most don't have a clue. Wish they new how to order items not in stock

Anxiously waiting for the garden area to be open again. I feel relaxed whenever I come, a good spot to fing that specific baby plant i need.

I have visited this place quite a while and it has very helpful staff. I used to like Home Depot, but not sure if I continue to shop here. Here is why:

My wife bought dishwasher, dryer, and washer in December but they delivered dryer and washer about a month later than they promised and we still haven't received the dishwasher yet (March).

In this process, we have been frustrated and underwhelmed at the lack of a proper process to keep customers updated about the delivery or the installation. We were told to call here and there to find out the delivery and promised many times to be updated. However, each effort ended up with one call and there has been no follow-up. We ended up being informed that the dishwasher is missing with a speculation that it was delivered to another house for free, which is very hard to believe. We have felt that Home Depos is not honest with us or/and the company is trying hard not to be responsible and not to sort things out (or working hard to offer poor services). To make it worse, we are told to do this one day and do another thing next day, and it seems managers are making new rules and fresh excuse to give worse experience to customers. For example, we were informed that our appliance is missing (for a few weeks at least) and asked to come in and talk to a manager about the follow-up. However, we were told today that Home Depot made a new rule yesterday and they have to do one more step. I cannot help wondering why the step could not be done earlier since this piece has been missing for a few weeks instead of saying "please wait" one more time. We all know what is the consequence of poor customer service and irresponsible management.

We ordered a new fridge and dishwasher back in November. We are now passed mid February and have still not received our appliances. Our delivery date kept being pushed. We were finally told that they are in Edmonton but they keep postponing the delivery date again. First it was Wednesday, then today. And now we’re we’re told Best case tomorrow and worst case Wednesday. They seem to think we’re home all day, every day and don’t have jobs to go to and need to book time off ahead of time! This is by far the WORST customer service I have ever experienced. They’re lack or organizational skills shows a complete disregard for their customers.

I applied for a Home Depot card and got $100 gift. I decided to buy a washer and I waited a long time to get it delivered and they delayed the delivery 3 times so I decided to cancel the order and I’ve been told that I have lost the 100$ gift card and I tried to talk to the manager and she didn’t even attempt to talk to me about the situation and this is isn’t fair. They have an unprofessional customer service and a lazy manager.

Bayo is an outstanding employee. He did a great job dealing with other customers that had more complicated requests/transactions, while still providing an A+ experience for myself.

Poor selection of supplies. Staff doesn't know where anything is. Products aren't shelved where the computer systems says it should be.

Used curbside for the first time. Quick, efficient service and happy employees who know what they are doing

HD is my preferred hardware vendor. I like the values of Lowe’s more but HD has a better set-up.

Staff are very helpful. I can usually find someone to ask questions. Self checkout is well set up and don't have to wait for too long

Was at the store today to pick up a breaker. Checked on Line and it said there was 4 in stock, got there and there was nothing. I asked how this could be as the breakers are kept in a locked cage, they were not sure. I explained that people drive to the store based on the online info and I was told you can not rely on our web page you must phone. Why would you have a web page if you are not going to maintain it. On the way out some one told me to have a good and I replied that I am not having a good day because of Home Depot and they just laughed. It would seam that this store is not keeping up with the inventory as other stores seem to be.

Bought a fan on July 16 from this place. You can see from the pictures attached of what I encounter as soon as I take out the fan from the box.
This is disgusting! This is just not acceptable at all! You pay $60 to buy a product thats covered with dust and hair!
Obviously I will be going back to return this but wanted to show this to future customers to be aware of this type of issues. This is just unbelievable.

Rented a stump grinder that not working well, brought it back to fix and rented again the next day, same thing, and had to wait 30 mins to dispute the contract because they were short handed, only one man working, wasted 2 days of my life. Never again.

Rhonda was super helpful with our purchase experience today at The Home Depot Windermere location. Friendly, values customers time and money, showed us where our items were located and helped in choosing them. Thank you Rhonda.

I usually went to this location as it is closer to my home. The people here were helpful and friendly. But I found some products are listed at a higher price than south common location, deck lumber for example.

The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable on their respective area. It's not like other stores that if they see a customer they turn away or pretend not to see you.

Cashier was extremely rude to some friends of mine, when she couldn't find her credit card in her purse, made it sound like they were trying to steal. She found her card in about 2 minutes, and paid for her merchandise. Was just uncalled for, they weren't leaving the store without paying. Just uncalled for.

We had to buy paint for our apartment, and didn’t really know what we needed exactly. The older gentleman in the paint section (I think his name was Barry) was SO knowledgeable, informed us on which paints to buy, and made sure we had all the supplies we needed. He was also just extremely nice and you could tell he was enthusiastic to help us and loved his job. He gave us the kind of excellent customer service that’ll make us go out of our way to this location, give the man a raise.

South Common Home Depot for my annuals, especially the Canna Lilies!
Scored big time this year, purchased 4 of these beauties, 2 yellow which have soft orange colored freckles and 2 of the burnt orange one's with bronze in the leaves.
I pop in regularly as their always bringing in various perennials and flower's

Gavin is great at what he does. He was able to give us good advice and was able to drill some holes for us (as we don’t own a drill) and didn’t even charge us. I Definitely recommend talking to him if you need someone to help you find solutions to any home improvement issues.

I usually give 5 Star to you guys but SORRY you're getting one this time coz your cashier at the Plant Section was kind of RUDE.no customer service and got an attitude. She's Caucasian and just RUDE, I was gonna just return my merchandise and walk out that day but I just tried to be nice as much as I can. With this pandemic we're dealing with.people can't even be nice!

Seems to always have what we need so far. Haven't ever had to wait to enter, even with health restrictions. Polite and friendly staff.

This is the closest home depot to my place so usually visit here, this time I visited to the garden center to buy some plants. I was expecting more variety but then I think I will try again after few days, although I did buy some vegetables fruits and flower saplings. They do have good stuff for garden decor, so yes, you can try those

Not only did I not wear a mask, but this lovely worker with red hair helped me find what I needed and I'm so grateful for her and respecting my charter of rights! Thank you for making my shopping experience amazing and unstressed and not feeling like I was suffocating

You must understand that Home Depot covers a wide range of supplies from gardening to construction. In some areas, I would give almost 5 stars but in some departments, I would give maybe 2 stars.

In terms of gardening, there isn't the caliber of a nursery, and the quality of most plants aren't great. For gardening, I recommend other Home Depots such as the one in South Common or just a nursery. Gardening department is about 1 star.

In terms of construction, it's easy to access and has materials to build or repair any basic things. For a quick trip, I highly recommend Home Depot. Quality of the materials itself is a solid 4.

Lastly, anything to do with interior (tiles, lights, etc.) Is my absolute go to. Quality and option is there and it's probably the strong point in terms of what you can buy at home Depot.

Oh, one more thing, the service is 4.5.the workers are very kind but the thing that holds me back from giving a 5 is that the workers are only familiar in their section of the building. If you ask, the cashier where bricks are, they'll probably bring you to the dumpster. Don't worry most of them don't do this, but many do.

This will apparently be a broken record of a review as ive seen the same thing posted about this place. I cannot believe the lack of knowledge and customer service here. Power tripping cashiers pretending to act like airport security. Incredibly rude!

We order some Bali Brand window treatment from HomeDepot. Then we saw the exactly same window blinds from Costco, the cost of Window Treatment from HomeDepot is 35% more then Costco. It is such a rip off

Walked in a busy Home Depot in Windermere for a Brasso, metal polish. I spotted a staff for help cos I didn’t want to walk around aimlessly. Luckily I ran into Connie, she is so knowledgeable and pointed me to the right direction within a minute. I got what I came for and did self checkout with no problem.

I prefer their quality and prices over other stores.
I also like customer service and when staff will come asking me if I need help finding something or even by giving me an estimates for the material needed based on my small projects

This store is not that busy, what I like. Enough knowledgable staff If you need asistance or advice. Great experience today buying the washing machine.

Everything is good here except for cell service signal! When your trying to navigate or follow up on your phone for projects you have walk outside other then that everything is great here.

Friendly and helpful staff. Unfortunately, they only carry a van, at this location, for transporting big items. We needed a truck for a water heater since you can't lay it down.

Genuinely always great service when I go there. Though, some of their floor staff can occassionally get distracted by each other and forget to finish serving the customer first.

Lack of awareness, if there was another store in close proximity I'd go there. Getting tired of watching checkout and contractor staff have personal conversations and walking in front of customers without acknowledging or pausing to allow customer to walk in front.customer experience standards need to be higher.

Want to interact with un trained employees this is the place to go.

Then they will send you to another location to interact with more untrained people.

Big hardware store with some good prices. The downside is that there is minimal service. Very few staffs around to help if you need help making decisions.

Typical home improvement store. Main problem is its hard to get cell service in the store so you can't access online shopping lists or price check items else where

Had a hard time buying a shed and having it installed. Nobody at 2 stores including managers knew how to order a shed, have it delivered and built which is a service they advertise and charge for. Took over 2 months to finally get everything set up. Other then this one experience everything is usually really good at home depot.

I'm so fortunate to have Home Depot within 10 minutes away. They have great stock and excellent service.

I was in the flooring department trying to decide which kind of flooring to get. Rafique discussed the different options with me and pointed out that I would have to use underlay under some of them, extra cost and extra work. I really appreciate his honesty. He gave me samples to take home. Told me about the sale starting the next day. I am grateful to him for saving me money on this purchase. I went in the next day he recognized me took may order after figuring out how many boxes I would need and order the nosing for the stairs. He walked me to the cashier and found a staff member to load up my car. All this 10mins before his shift ended. Not many people are as courteous or caring. Thanks some much for making my experience great!

Endlessly on hold, no matter what department, even customer service. Tool rentals just picks up and put you on hold, over and over. I shop here all the time and I know they are not that busy. Over 20 minutes on hold, I gave up. Website says to visit tool rentals to rent online, no such page.no wonder everyone is using Lowe's here now.

Do not use Home Depot flooring installation services. Poorly done project. Offers no assistance to resolve complaint.

Arrived today to rent an auger which you think would be a relatively easy process, however it was not. Firstly, I needed a shovel and asked an attendant where I could find one. The worker stared at me like he didn’t even know what a shovel was and did not help what so ever in locating one. Once I located the shovel I went to the rental area. I spoke to one staff member about which auger I needed for a fence I am building. He seemed like this was a huge inconvenience for him and like it was almost work to talk to me. I went to pay and a staff member named “Gavin” was now helping me. He was tremendously hard to hear with the noise of the rental area along with the music playing.

When I went to pay I used my debit card. When the transaction went through he stared at me and said “I said visa. ” He shook his head, rolled his eyes and muttered to himself that he had to do the wholllle process all over again. Went he went over to the other till he was still complaining about what had just happened to his co workers like it was a major inconvenience. He eventually left, maybe because it was too much for him.

Then the staff member who originally helped me with the auger took over. They needed a manager to come and refund the payment for whatever reason which took some time. Once that was done he took another customer and now a third staff member rang my items through the process.

I have never left a review before but the service was quite bad and inconsistent. Maybe if the first staff member just did the whole process with me all of this could have been avoided.

I needed some paint for touch ups. Very professional and friendly help I received. Made shopping way easier. Ty at paints was very helpful and gave me also some tips. I come regularly to this store and always found help when needed. Even they could help me really they were directing me to some other place or something else what could also work.

Not enough staff; the staff that is here doesn’t know where anything is. Very frustrating. Wandered the store for at least 5 aisles until I was able to find someone.

I went to this Home Depot today and got help from a nice young man in the store. He helped to find the screens that go in the fan hood which is a pain in the neck to find. He measured them out for me.
Then he made some keys for the front door of the house.
The young man speaks Spanish and we had a nice talk about his job; I was trying to get tips for how younger boy could get a job at this branch. He told me to keep trying with younger boy.
Such a nice person.
I phoned the manager to tell him that most of the folks in his store are well equipped to deal with the public although I did not mention a lackluster employee in plants who had no interest in showing me stuff the other day.
This store is a good place. Not a toxic workplace. Helpful for lost and frazzled customers. You should go there.

Good place to shop, always in stock for their regular items. I bought 30 bags of concrete one late afternoon and asked for help, did not get any. The kid staff I asked just watched me load up from a distance. Terrible.

Spent 30 mins looking for lightbulbs that wouldn't interfere with our garage door opener, asked to get someone sent over to help no one ever came. Multiple workers walked by but never asked if we needed help with anything. The one dark haired lady at the front center register asked if we found everything ok, told her we had asked for help but no one ever came. She was willing to get the manager for us but my husband was already too impatient and we just wanted to pay for our items and leave. She graciously gave us 15$ off our purchase and was very friendly in helping us to get checked out. I've never felt ignored while shopping at home depot before.

Tried getting cash back for $100 but the till didn’t have enough cash, the associate assisting me attempted to call the manager Dustin multiple times. The associate had even mentioned how he ended the call on her. She then proceeded to call all the managers and wasn’t until 10-15 minutes later that someone showed up. The management doesn’t seem to take their jobs seriously, I expected more of Home Depot considering how big of a company it is. I left very frustrated.

Great selection of products and prices reasonable. But a number (75%) of the staff don't have product knowledge to properly help customers. Then you talk to the 4th staff member and they know exactly where things are and have recomendations on what would be a good solution.

They almost always have what I need, their staff are always helpful. Their store is an impenetrable box for cell service so be sure to connect to their unintuitively named wi-fi (att-something).

I was looking for driveway sealant and quickly realized that all Home Depots do NOT have the same layout. I was sent to the far corner of the store where I asked a young man for help. Abdallah took me straight to the right spot to find the product I needed, put it in my cart and wished me a good day and said he was happy to have the opportunity to help me. He was fabulous!
