Went to go pick strawberries and on the walk back we had gotten lost and walked in a “off limits area” no sign indicating as such and a old man that works there drove to us in a golf cart and started saying to me “you don’t know how to follow signs? ” and “you get lost easily or what” super condescending and very easily could have left it as “this is a off limits area” but decided to tear into us for no reason. For a place that grows tiny strawberries and sells them $5 per pound he should have a lot more manners. The girls working are nice and helpful
The strawberries was good but there wasnt clear instruction for how you want to pay in cash or debit. Waiting half of hour under the hot sun isnt fun until.
My daughter Grandson were out there today picking Berries.they took them out to the field to pick Berries left them out there said they be back In a half hour but never showed she had to walk back with a 18month child caring the fruit and her belongs. Then they went to play at the park and a older child decided it would be fun and kicked my Grandson. I don't recommend anyone to go there. Unless they have supervision.
Good place for strawberry and vegetable picking. Their price are good. Not much of structures and the portable toilet is very dirty and smells disgusting.hope they will maintain it clean, even a little.
Really fun experience but this place could get really busy. It brought back a lot of childhood memories of picking in the fields. The strawberries were bursting with flavour. Usually having store bought, they simply don’t compare to eating local!
The Jungle Farm is close farm fruits and vegetables picking in Calgary area. Located at innisfil. I rate 5stars. My kids told me that the best day ever picking strawberry and Saskatoon berry. All the staff guides is very helpful.
If I could rate my experience a 10/10 I would, staff are very friendly and helpful, and the fruits and vegetables are always so delicious. Picked strawberries the first day they were available, and they are lovely.
One of the best place for fruits and vegetables picking plus kids playing place and not of fun. Free parking lot and handicap parking. Handicap access in shop. Public restrooms and you can book your fruit to pick up in boxes. Very friendly customer service. And good souvenir available too outdoor sitting. 2 minutes drive to highway.call them and follow them on their facebook page so you wont miss any opportunity.
I have had gone to the horticulture several times in the preceding years, with mixed feelings. It's a nice relaxing place with a beautiful natural environment. Yesterday (16 Aug 2020), I was there with another couple. One of the staff welcomed us and gave baskets to collect strawberries etc. Up to there, everything was okay - the pros side. Now, the cons: => Nobody informed us about the entry fee. => Veg & fruits are charged exorbitantly. We collected a modest amount of strawberries, plus some veg. The couple we invited to go with us also collected a minimal foodstuff. The cost at a grocery store for the total purchase wouldn't be more than thirty-five to forty dollars. They charged my friend $75 and me? $71!
This is our second time visiting TJF. On the day we went they ran out of strawberries, it happens. Somehow the staff seemed non interested in their customers. We waited 10 minutes for someone to come into the show room to purchase something. They were out more interested in a huge load of blackberries. Could just be the time of day we went, about 5pm? But just kinda felt pushed through otherwise.
I dont know why I waited so long to review this wonderful farm. The staff are best bar none and the service is exceptional. I always get my cucumber pickles and cabbage here to make pickles and Kraut. This year making carmelized onions as well. Best place to pick up quality local produce.
