The Kanata Inns - Whitecourt Hotel

Hands down the best hotel In whitecourt I have stayed at them all. Great service all around and the absolute best continental breakfast you’ll find in town. Staff are very friendly and rooms are comfy and very clean.

One of the best breakfasts I've ever had at a hotel. They have a skillet scramble kind of thing, which is really good as well as real sausage, rather than the pre formed stuff served at most hotels. The bathroom floor wasn't cleaned well, if at all. There was some sticky stuff on the floor, coffee maybe.
I always carry some wipes with me, so no big deal.
I've started doing a clean sock score, ranging from 0-10, with 0 being the best. I don't think everyone wears their shoes all day and night in the hotels, so it's good info to include. Floors were quite clean here, so I'll give it a 2.
There are many plugs for your devices and it's easy to plug into the tv using HDMI if you like.
There is a gas station and c store in the same parking lot.

I always enjoy staying at this hotel. The staff are all super friendly and helpful. The breakfast is amazing and the fresh muffins and cookies are always delightful.

Definitely a great Hotel to stay at business or family I had a normal king room and I was impressed with the cleanliness and size of the room. Also had a great hot breakfast

The Kanata whitecourt is Always an amazing place to stay! From the first interaction with front desk all the way to checking out. The staff are so friendly and helpful, the rooms and hotel are very clean. Great breakfast, with lots of options. They have fresh baked muffins & cookies daily for guests through out the day (the peanut butter ones are my fave!)

We travel a lot for work, whitecourt has been our second home for the passed few months & we really enjoy staying here. They offer a stay over special which is super helpful so we don’t have to pack up all our stuff when we head home on the weekends. Which is amazing!

Decent breakfast included, dog fee only 15 bucks. Rooms were clean but now with the dropped Temps it is a little chilly in the main rooms and halls. Comfy bed too.

Rates are great! Service is awesome! Very clean. And their people are amazing. That's why we always come back.

Asya, the receptionist, was very friendly. Our room was very clean. Easily accessed hotel from the main road through Whitecourt. Laundry services were free. Bed was comfortable.

We've been staying here for a few years.easy access from highway, reasonably priced, fresh baked goods on arrival to departure and descent breakfast. Rooms are nice and clean.

Was picking up gift cards and found it to be a very clean place and girls at front desk were very kind and friendly

We went to Kanata for Christmas and the service was exceptional. The rooms were very clean and our cats loved their stay too

Friendly and efficient staff, clean and beautiful hotel, and excellent location. We stayed 2 nights this time and broke up the drive in and out of Edmonton for medical appts. Our little dog loves it here as well.

Opened one of the drawers and there was just a folded up piece of paper towel with a suspicious droplet of some kind of liquid. Everything else seems fine though.

Highly recommend this hotel. Outstanding attention and care at the front desk. Professional and courteous service. Hotel is clean. Room is immaculate, tasteful and has added-touches such as glass glasses and legit coffee mugs, no plastics. Higher end toiletries are a bonus. The bed is incredibly comfortable. Love that the room doors don't slam shut. Slow hinge closure. Keeps things more quiet along hallway. Will stay again. Well done Kanata, Whitecourt.

1 Ice machine was broken (there was another), otherwise great water pressure, great room ambiance, very clean. Good breakfast, comparable in my opinion of a 300 night in a 5 star Banff hot springs, in little ol whitecourt.

I always try smaller chain of hotels than the usual Chain Hotels. The moment I entered the hotel and my room I could feel this is distinct in a good way. I love the clean fresh room and their “green” approach of not having any plastic coffee cups instead the room had ceramic coffee mugs. I am going to stay at Kanata whenever and wherever possible. I highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel was so nice for our long drive through Canada. They let us check-in really late in the night. The rooms were very clean and the staff was very friendly. While we were there, we left a bag of chargers, and when we called the next day the woman at the front desk went up to the room and throughly searched it. Couldn't ask for better service!

We were enroute to another destination when our new truck broke down on a holiday weekend. Our vehicle was towed to the dealership as it was still under warranty, but we had to wait till after the holiday for it to be cared for. Everyone at the Kanata Inn was so kind and helpful throughout our ordeal. The facilities were immaculate, and everything was absolutely "top drawer". They helped turn a difficult situation into a happy "accident". Thank you!

We booked here last minute on a trip to Jasper and were totally impressed with this hotel. Very clean rooms, friendly staff, fantastic rate, and pet friendly. We will without question be booking at this, and other, Kanata Inns in the future.

Awesome customer service before, during, and on check out - clean, quiet, safe. I was able to deal with checking out via text - very convenient!
The travel centre across the parking lot was super handy in the morning, too.

What a wonderful place and staff! Had an amazing stay! Highly recommend them. They brought me tea so I didnt have to go shopping in the weather and it snowed overnight and then they gave me a brush and scraper as mine was buried! Room was super clean and very nice if I could, I'd give them 10 stars!

Our stay at the Kanata was very welcoming and felt just like home! We had requested some towels and toiletry items and the housekeeper was delightful! I believe her name was Tammy. We really look forward to staying with you guys again

Right off Highway 43 this hotel has super friendly staff, dog friendly and a super nice hot breakfast with all the fixings! The rooms are spacious & nice decor. Will definitely be back! Seems like a great spot for snow mobilers, there was a rally over the long weekend. There is a fitness room (did not check it out) no pool.

The hotel staff are friendly and go out of there way to make sure your stay at the Kanata is a great one

We came to Whitecourt for a snowmobile vacation because it is the snowmobile capital of Alberta. We vacationed with 2 other couples who also stayed at this hotel. The staff were friendly, the rooms were nice and were quiet as well. A nice touch was the contact from the hotel prior to our arrival. There was ample parking for trucks with snowmobile trailers attached. The included hot breakfast was very nice with a good variety of foods to choose from. There is a gas station next door and a good restaurant just across the street. I would recommend this hotel for a great stay in Whitecourt.

I am very impressed by this hotel. The staff are super friendly and the rooms are spacious & very clean with terrific decor. The hot breakfast has a great selection! It is dog friendly with lots of places to go for a walk. Can use your AMA for a discount too! Highly recommended!

The staff at this hotel is so amazing specially their evening front desk lady Shanay. I have gotten to see her both times I have stayed:) really went above and beyond for me. The room was very clean and comfy. Amenities were great. It was a nice little weekend get away for me!

Stayed here for work a few times. Front desk is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are huge and the place is very well kept. Close to Mr Mikes across the street and Fuel Station. Easily accessible back to the main road.

Saturday Feb 22nd our hockey team took a bus up to Whitecourt and we stayed at the Kanata Inn. Sunday morning i stopped at the front desk and inquired how far the subway was from the motel, Jacob checked it as 1.5 kms, i replied well its not that far of a walk and my daughter needed her pre-game meal.
Jacob then went and talked to Tammy, and Tammy mentioned that she had a similar situation on pre-game meals with her Daughter for dance.
Next thing i knew Tammy offered to go get the sub and returned with it with enough time for my daughter to munch it down prior to the game. We won the game, i'm not saying that it was directly due to this but she did assist on the game winning goal.
I would just like to say - Nice customer service Tammy and Jacob, that is going beyond normal- Kudos.

Very nice and clean room. Staff were all very friendly and the breakfast was good. The hotel has a nice feel to it and is in a good location for business travel. The fitness centre could use some work but at least they have one I suppose. Will be back.

Used Kanata first time last week and had a wonderful stay. Fresh baked cookies and muffins today. Still hot from the oven. Hot breakfast in the morning and it was good. Have lots of room for semi drivers to be able to park when staying in hotel over night. Beds are nice and room is clean.
Only thing I would like is disposable cups and glasses in my room. I do not use glass cups in rooms.

Allergy or migraine sufferers be ware! These rooms are sprayed heavily with air freshener. The hallways and lobby smell normal then you go to your room and all you can smell is air freshener. I can only guess because they’re trying mask a nasty odour (pet or smoke)
The bedding was very comfy and the room nice and dark.
I don’t understand why we were placed right next to a family with multiple very disruptive children. The hotel was quite empty. I wish hotels would use more discretion in this manner. Especially when there is lots of empty rooms to work with. We were waken up many times due to loud noise and banging. I totally understand traveling with children as I do so myself. But come on! When a hotel is empty please space the occupants out!

It was ok, but a little shabby. Room was crowded and chairs were not working right - desk chair would not stay elevated.

Really nice place to stay reasonably priced very comfortable and was quiet. Staff was very polite and professional. Also great breakfast. I will definitely stay there again.

Fantastic facility, clean rooms. Appreciate how it’s so accessible next to the highway out of town. Everything I needed for a night’s stay - clean gas station and Mr. Mikes all in the same area.

The place was great and the young gentleman (recesptionist) with slicked hair was a nice guy and let me borrow his charger for the night

They gave me a free water bottle and a flash light for staying there. Heavy truck parking could be better though.

Omg! You have to stay here if you are in Whitecourt. They are really nice, beds are great, and all day refreshments for guests to help themselves too. Breakfast was bacon and eggs and all the necessary breakfast stuff and it was all included. I absolutely will be staying here again if I can!
