The Keg Steakhouse + Bar - Granville Island

The Keg is known for it's steaks. The staff are always attentive and friendly. Great atmosphere and family friendly.

Was OK food though servers were pretty slow and hard to find parking close by calamari and steak were almost the only amazing food, everything else was pretty average.

Had a very unpleasant experience here. I was not treated with any respect by the one staff members. We didn't even have our entrees due to the rudeness we encountered. Now don't get me wrong, I've enjoyed going to the keg for years. This encounter left a really bad taste in my mouth. We all have bad days, but it was absolutely not called for. The manager did try to rectify the situation, so I am grateful for that.

Awesome location nestled into Granville Island. Went in for a late dinner on New Year's Eve, for such a busy day food still tasted amazing! Did not feel rushed at all as we were approaching midnight. We both ordered the blackened chicken, cooked to perfection and was accompanied with some vegetables. Beets were cooked beautifully.

We brought our own champagne which we haven't done at a restaurant before. At first we were a bit worried because it had been sitting out for a while instead of being chilled. We waited. The waitress then kindly refrigerated it for us and was attentive to serving us our drinks before ringing in the new year. All in all a good experience overall!

Booked a table for 7: 45pm on Christmas Eve. Disappointed by prime ribs sold out and insufficient service.

I finally chose filet mignon and Sirloin Oscar. Not bad.

Went here Christmas Eve looking for a nice dinner. Kelly M was our server and she was incredible. We had plans after dinner and Kelly checked up on us frequently and ensured we made our plans on time. She was very perceptive (knew when we were sat/when we needed to leave, got an extra side of the peppercorn sauce to go). Food was amazing but the service really made the whole meal.

Above average food at this price point. Sirloin and Oscar is surprisingly good at this price.

At 8pm Christmas Eve, Prime Rib and Escargot were sold out which they're our favourite so we're very disappointed. Almost wanted to leave but on that day, the only alternative would be having instant noodles at home.

Vibe is traditional steakhouse setup. Nothing special and nothing bad. Service was just so so and maybe they're too busy on Christmas Eve.

Very busy during Christmas season. Yet, hospitality never disappoint you. A little mistakes serving food but the manager came by to explain and apologise. We order lot of food, prime rib steak and lobster were particularly outstanding. Food was great, so as service. It's just a little loud sitting right by the kitchen.

I love coming from Richmond to this location because the service and food is always superior.

Few things that disappointed me about this visit.

Came here to celebrate our Anniversary and Robert, our server was phenomenal! He was attentive, friendly, patient and just such a nice guy! The food was amazing as always- everything was cooked perfectly!

Its a good steakhouse beautifully cooked stake with good flavour should eat it with red wine or beer would recommend

Convenient stop for a quick lunch if visiting Granville Island. Friendly and fast service plus satisfactory food.

My family has frequented the Keg a few times, but most recently on 26/08/2023 and 27/08/2023 with large groups (7 and 11 people respectively) including 2 young children. I had the Keg Burger and split the 18 oz Prime Rib with my brother. Both were delicious and followed by their classic Billy Miner Pie—truly scrumptious! The service was incredible as well—we were served by Timo and Brendan who were extremely professional and helpful. The latter was great with children and made sure everyone was content and well fed. Brendan’s relaxed demeanour was excellent as he put everyone at ease admits the pandemonium of dealing with small children. We’ll definitely be back at the Keg!
