Kris was so amazing! We will come back over and over again thanks to him! He made us have an incredible evening and we will make sure to tell our family and friend what a fabulous place the last straw is. Kris, you’re the best and deserve a raise!

Exactly what you look for in a neighborhood pub. Love the food, great atmosphere with tons of friendly regulars, and the staff is great.

Try the pizza, giant yorkie roast beef, perogy wraps, or the burgers! Other items are great too, but those are my go to meals.

We’ve been going there for years and love it. Unbelievable patio in the summer as well.

I was just in there for the first time. I had the loaded beef dip and Lemon drop Moscow Mule, and OMG it all was delish. Service was great too!

Awesome local tavern - the bar is really cool and the patio is almost perfect (wish we could have the evening sun on it!).
Lots of choice of beer on tap.
You can even do a « ski-shot »!

We had 7 orders of wings, different kinds, not on wing night so paid full price and they were so dry and overcooked, they were actually unedible.

This pub has been in the neighbourhood for years and is always top notch. The food is some of the better pub food whixh is reflected in their prices. It is also nice that they have such a large patio. My only drawback is that it can be a bit loud inside. Overall it is a great local spot that doesnt disappoint.

My favourite bar to go to. Great neighbourhood place, bartender Chris makes it feel like home. Even knows when you get a new haircut see me here often

Service was wonderful and prompt. The food was delicious as usual. Atmosphere was what youbwould expect from a neibourhiod pub.

Ordered off Uber eats last night and have to say this is the worst pub food I’ve had in a while. Nachos were cold and stale chips, bang bang shrimp was more like blah blah. And that buffalo chip wrap was soggy and no flavour. The chicken tasted chewy and like artificial meat. So gross, will not be ordering again from here. There wasn’t one redeeming part of our meal

This place has great food and a down to earth friendly staff! Chris, the bartender, set the atmosphere with welcoming, high energy, personality. Even the patrons seemed to be having a great time at the bar. Definitely worth a visit!

The owner and staff are quite rude and unaccomodating here. I suggest the owner takes some kind of sensitivity training or HR business course. I think it could be beneficial if they are open to it.

I never visited this Pub, I talked to an employee, it was a great conversation, while I was shoveling the Malls Sidewalks.

My husband and I love this pub. We get take out all the time from TLS and it’s one of our fave patio’s to go to in the warmer months. I am outright addicted to their Traditional Club sandwich (which I order without bacon -sorry, not a bacon fan) and I find myself ordering it once a week! Look at that pic! How can I not? Also love their onion rings, poutine, the truffle fries and the mini perogy pizza (yep I order with no bacon too!) and recently discovered their “Double Up” pizza which is fantastic (I do add mushrooms and green pepper) and husband loves their wings, dry ribs, hamburgers… there’s really not much on the menu we don’t like. Highly recommend.

They make the best wings in Calgary and the service and management go above and beyond. We go at least once a week. How about you? All the food is delicious.

Amazing service amazing food bang bang shrimp straw tacos is out of this world shout out server alicea for recommending our food and drinks, it made our date night so memorable.

There was a ladybug in our salad. I emailed them right away and asked if it was possible to recieved a partial refund for the salad. Unfortunately, the did not respond.

The lady who served us last Thursday, Aug 11 was not nice. She asked us if we wanted to wrap the food on our table and we said no. Then she took it away without asking if we still want to eat it or if we are leaving or staying.

Wasn’t expecting too much going in here. Neighborhood pubs are always hit or miss. At the best, I was hoping to have a good experience. I went in for lunch and there weren’t many customers. A bad sign.
The menus are regular pieces of paper off the printer, not even card stock. Hmmm.

Server is smiling, very welcoming and nice though. Had good knowledge of the menu, and the things she enjoys.
I ordered the California chicken sandwich with Caesar salad.
I was shocked…. It was absolutely outstanding! It was so so good. Not only did I have a good experience but I was also shocked and impressed.
So, my summary of this place? Don’t judge a book by its cover, its really great.
Go in and try it out during a quieter time to get the best experience.

Nice spot. Food is good. Drinks are stiff/come in smaller glasses. Nice tvs and friendly staff.

Always such an amazing time at the Last Straw. Food and service is amazing. Chris always takes such great care of us. This past Friday he especially took initiative when the womens restroom was out of service. He handled the issue flawlessly and made sure service stayed on top!

Decent service. Good selection of beers on tap. Food specials even on the weekends. I had the fish and chips which was crispy and well done. Good fries and gravy. The pub in general is well designed and clean. Very popular with the locals.
The menus looked good beyond the pizzas. I’ll be back for sure!

Stopped in for a quick drink. Ended up staying much longer. Kristen and Chris are so great, wonderful customer service and really great atmosphere!

Admittedly I haven't dined in at Last Straw in a while, but if you're looking for a joint to stop by and have a drink and some delicious food or order and enjoy from home - this is the place. The pizza at the Last Straw is phenomenal. In my opinion it's hands down some of the best bar pizza I've had and definitely deserves a try. That being said, that doesn't take away from a host of other delicious options to choose from like their nachos, Thai chili chicken, platters and burgers.

Love these guys, playing by the rules and caring for their customers and staff! Go visit them they deserve your business!

I often go to this restaurant because the food is good and I like the atmosphere and it is my go to place when I have visitors in town (family and business) however I will not be going back after my experience tonight. It was busy because it was wing night however if they are too busy to serve you they need to post a sign at the door indicating that they may not be able to serve you. My drink order was taken and served and I waited for over 30 minutes before I was asked if I wanted another beer. By that time I just wanted to pay the bill and get out. Calgary has many good restaurant options and I will be bringing my business elsewhere!

Last night a group of us went to The Last Straw for Halloween. We had a blast! Our server Cynthia always made sure we had a cold drink in our hand and brought our food out hot from the kitchen as it was ready. We ordered a few food items (nachos, perogies rolls and pizza) throughout the night and they were all delicious. Chris, the bartender was super friendly and was dressed up behind the bar, participating in Halloween. Overall we all had a great night, the service was prompt and very friendly. We will definitely be back again.

Megan was an awesome waitress. She was pleasant, fast and my glass was never empty and she brought me refill. She was friendly abd always cared about her customers. I would definately go back.

The only pub in the only mall in Tuscany. We were there after golf on a Tuesday afternoon so it wasn't busy. Cavernous and dark and quiet, probably more lively on a Saturday night. Good selection of craft beer. The waitress was warm and welcoming, treated us like friends. I wish we had a pub like this in our neighborhood.
UPDATE yesterday September 22, went for a beer after golf. Hostess carefully checked id and vax credentials. Only a few tables occupied at 4 PM. Server says they've had no problems with Covid regulations. This is a great place!

Been there many times but find the food and service has gone downhill. They did a reno few years back that brought it from the 1970s to the 1980s. Not going back.

Good drink specials and awesome pizza. Spicy Hawaiian was my favorite.

Make sure you check the seats in the booths. Some of them are rock hard and uncomfortable if your planning to hang out for a while. Service was a bit slow the night we went and it wasn't super busy.

Food is excellent, service is good, I am extremely upset about their decision to remove the pool tables. Would have been 5 stars if they had their tables.

I like this pub and will continue to support it. However, the menu needs a big refresh and the food quality is poor. How much effort does it take to use real jalapenos instead of pickled, for example? The food here is better than nothing after a few beers, but that's a pretty low bar. The Straw is the only restaurant in the whole community, so I guess it doesn't feel the need to up their game. To me the food is just, well.sad. Patrons aren't demanding five star dining, but this place could do so, so much better.

Lots of TV's, the drink prices are fair, and the bartender Mitch has got a lot of good conversation, I'll be back.

Great place in n Tuscany area of Calgary. Service was superb and suggestion of a new local beer was great.

Loved who kept poking their face from the back with their mask on their chin. Weather a cook or an owner, they didn’t follow their own signs outside

Great prices. Usually great food and service. Last time we went for wings are wings were re-warmed and served to us. Obvious because they came out 2 minutes after ordering them. One was fresh the other two clearly were not. Mentioned to our waitress she didn't seem to care. Good atmosphere. Clean.
Will keep going back.

Simmerdown! I am still here! Lol Now that we are home, can honestly say that it was good. Busy! That is good to see for our neighborhood pub. Wife had pear flat bread pizza thingy, says it was good and I had fish and chips And she said they were good also! Lol. Definitly worth it.

The food is great here, but the service really depends on who you get. I seem to be unlucky enough to always get Nadine. You can spot her a mile away with the unusually large fake eyelashes. Every time I sit at her table, I know I will see her only 5 times: To greet us and take a drink order, bring drinks, take our food order, bring our food, bring the bill and stand there tapping her toe while we use the debit machine. If you want more than one drink you will have to ask someone else. I've sat there for 20 minutes with an empty glass in front of me and then had to flag someone else down to get another drink. Everyone has a bad day, but she is consistently so bad that we have stopped being regulars. I'm sorry Last Straw, but you need to have better standards.

They were able to accommodate six of us last night on the patio. Wings and food were excellent. Our server was awesome as well. Highly recommend this place to anyone driving through Tuscany or in NW Calgary.

Alison was an absolutely excellent server, it was our first time visiting tonight and she rattled off the specials and offered me some great beers to try (I ended up with a Saskatoon berry from Cold Garden and a Hefeweizen from Last Best). Awesome food too, I had a nice spicy quesadilla and my husband loved their beef dip.

Ordered from skip the dishes. Quesadilla was hacked into pieces, not cut in wedges. The tortilla was so wet is was like raw dough. The only flavour came from possibly half a jar of pickled peppers. The only reason I ordered from here is that it is the only pub/restaurant in Tuscany. I periodically try food from here in hopes of improvement in the food. Will not make this mistake again.

Best nachos in town in my opinion. Good staff, good location. A favourite for my group and I to hang out.

Ordered there from skip the dishes. Asked for no tomatoes in my wrap. STD dude even confirmed the no tomatoes. Then I get it and it is full of tomatoes. Call STD to get a refund and a new order. They refund but now the place is off the app. I think they had one too many complaints and were automatically removed. I ended up taking a bite of just the chicken in the wrap, it was gross. Threw it out and made myself food. Super disappointing experience. Wont be using them again.

Advice to management: Have your expo do a better job checking orders.

Came in for a drink and supper. The drink was good food was less than good. Everyone was enjoying themselves.

The service sucks! Especially when you're in a big group! Don't try and have a big function there because the staff will cut you off even after 1 drink because they think your drunk! Even if you are not doing anything wrong & walking & talking normally! Once your cut off you won't even be served water or food! And if anyone in your party trys to give the person cut off water or anything else they will cut you off too!
Even on a after noon when it's not busy during the week the service is very slow!
I used to eat here quite often however after the last time I will not return even if it's close to my house!

Have only ordered take-out, so can only comment on food quality and packaging. Perogie wraps were one of the best appetizers I've had in some time, and the beef dip was good as well. Really enjoyed the lager chips and the dill dip. However, the buffalo chicken wrap I ordered was one of the worst I've ever seen, a soggy pile of pulled chicken, hot sauce, watery tomatoes, and wilted lettuce. Everything was packaged well in high quality take out containers. I intend to order again, just stay away from the buffalo wrap.
