Good food, cozy place. The server was a bit distracted, didn't bother asking if I wanted anything at all. I had to sort of chase her to ask for food lol. Was a bit strange. Probably just not a good day. Nice place though.
The service was very bad as our waitress never check in on us after food came and had yo walk up front to get someone's attention to pay, the calamari was a vary small portion and not worth the money.
Step into a warmly inviting restaurant where the dining experience is nothing short of delightful. Indulge in the culinary delights of the bison rib and cowboy steak – a true highlight. For an optimal taste experience, opt for a rare plus doneness. The cost-effectiveness of these choices is exceptional. While the service from the waiter on that particular day seemed a tad hurried, it didn't overshadow an otherwise flawless dining experience.
We stopped in for lunch on a Sunday. The atmosphere in the main part of the restaurant was lovely! The servers were friendly and quick. We ordered the crab dip (5+), wings, and fish and chips (all very yummy and well presented!).
The washroom, however, left a lot to be desired. I can look past the dated decor and the very narrow stalls. However, the baby changing station in the larger stall was disgusting! Dried feces and mystery stains. If I had seen the bathroom first, I would not have stayed to eat.
Note: I do not think there was a washroom that would be considered accessible to someone with a mobility device.
Un endroit correct au cœur de la ville de Banff. Rien d’extraordinaire, mais le service est sympathique. Assez cher pour la qualité, mais comme on est au milieu de la ville touristique de Banff, rien de surprenant…
Absolutely delicious! Came here for my birthday dinner and have zero regrets. Amazing service, atmosphere, drinks, and food! We ordered the fior loaf, bison spring roll, salt spring mussels, maple jalapeños chicken wings, bison burger, bison short ribs, giant elk meatball, bison tenderloin, surf and turf, maple crepe brûlée, hot chocolate soufflé, toffee pudding, maple old fashion, red wine, and elderflower gin and tonic. Everything was soooo good, and I wish I could’ve eaten here again! The meat were well cooked, juicy, and tender. The seafood were well-seasoned and not overly cooked. The portion sizes were also reasonably priced! I highly recommend coming eat at this place if you are looking for a nice, elegant meal. I also suggest making reservations to ensure you have a table. It was a really nice experience for my birthday dinner. We enjoyed it very much!
I had lunch here and when I came back to look for the bathroom they told me to go somewhere else. I told them I had lunch here and they said how would I know if you didn’t tell me
The food tastes okay, but the attitude towards the public in such a high-priced restaurant is really disappointing
Best beef steak and tenderloin we have ever had! Coming from a native Albertan, that's saying a lot. Excellent waiter who offered great suggestions, too.
We enjoyed this special treat to celebrate a special day. The staff was exceptional from start to finish. The food was delicious and presented perfectly. Prices were a bit high.leaning towards excessive
We booked the Banff Ave Room for our wedding reception and was so pleased with our experience. My husband and I loved the food and recieved many compliments from our guests on the venue choice. Many returned the next morning to check out the brunch menu! I had the beef tenderloins and it was amazing! I am still dreaming of it!
The service was amazing! Shout out to Sam, AKA Samuel, for making sure our guests had an amazing time.
We will definitely be back for our next visit to Banff.
Lemon Garlic Chicken Caesar salad, big portion, yummy! Bacon cheeseburger with fries. Both very good. Right on main drag in town. Nice atmosphere. Servers were attentive and very friendly. Washrooms up steps, only negative.
Reserved a table here to celebrate our anniversary and while our meals were excellent, we found ourselves back out on the street less than an hour after the time of our reservation - we felt very rushed. I wasn’t even able to order a glass of wine to accompany my dinner because our mains arrived five minutes after our starter. Really just felt like they were churning tables out as quickly as possible in order to fill them up again. Definitely not the relaxing, romantic dinner in the mountains we were looking for. Won’t be back.
What a lovely place. Please try the indigenous menu. The chef has researched his history and created lovely dishes which honour that. I had the salmon starter- so tasty. Service was friendly. Everything was clean and fresh. Lovely decor.
The experience I had here was exceptional to say the least.
I had the 8oz Alberta Prime Baseball sirloin steak cooked medium-rare with Peppercorn sauce and fries and it was fantastic all around. Glasses of Budweiser beer with a nice quiet ambience inside the restaurant made for a very memorable time here and I would definitely like to come again.
The service was kind and attentive with respect. Awesome!
Get over here folks because you won't be disappointed!
Visited during brunch and dinner. Cozy restaurant. Seating offered downstairs and upstairs. Washrooms are upstairs. Elevator available. Recommend the avocado toast, farmer’s breakfast, smoked Canadian bacon eggs Benedict, and banana toast for brunch. For dinner, try elk and pork meatball and stuffed barbecue chicken
