The Mash Windermere

Probably some of the worst service I've had in a long time. I've been to the Whyte Ave location a couple times and it was pretty good, but I was massively turned off by the awful service at the Windermere location.

No one greeted us when we first walked in through the door and we had to approach the counter to ask for a table which is so weird.

Our server was very dismissive and was acting as if we were forcing her to serve us. When taking our order for the first time, I'm not sure if she was even listening to us because 5 minutes later, she came back with a notepad and asked us to order again. She seemed confused and didn't seem to know what was available on the menu. When we asked for the bill, it took a long time because she was at the counter gossiping and giggling with the other 2 front of house staff there.

The management here needs to train their staff better. The food is fine, but the service ruins it.

The Mash has the best pizza I have ever had - it is sad that their customer service and delivery sucks. After receiving a coupon code for free delivery we placed an order on Saturday, at the time of our order there was no ETA but it was early so we were not too worried. After waiting one whole hour I contacted the restaurant for an update and was told our pizza was ready (this was between 4pm and 4: 30pm) but the driver wasn't there yet, and they couldn't provide an ETA as they use Door Dash. Shortly after this call I received an update that my pizza would be delivered after 5pm.that means the pizza would be sitting for approx 45 minutes before I got it. As I said, Mash has great pizza, but it is pricy and no one wants to eat 45 minute old pizza that costs as much as theirs does. I called back and was told when the pizza arrives, if it isn't up to my standards to call back. The 10" pizza was cold upon arrival but the 14" was still hot - at this point we didn't bother calling back because we'd given up.

So - we waited well over an hour for the delivery of 45 minute old pizza that cost over $60 (one 10" and one 14"). I reached out via an email contact on their website as well as Instagram. I was told someone would contact me but it has now been three business days with no follow up. Super not cool Mash.

Ordered online for delivery, they called and said they didn’t have drivers so I did pick up but they never refunded the delivery fee, cool beans it’s all yours I guess. Pizza is pretty meh and was soggy as anything, was probably sitting for a while.

Pizza is actually really good. Table tops could be cleaner - small divots that hold crumbs. Other than that, service was nice, friendly, and quick. Well done

I tried Mash Windermere the first time the other day with a friend and we were pleasantly surprised with our overall experience. The food was delicious, drinks were yummy and the service was amazing. Definitely recommend it to anyone.

The dill pickle pizza is a must try! Great food and beer, and our server was a delight. Great vibes and decor. 100% we will be back.

First time eating from here and I wasn’t disappointed! The pizzas I ordered were amazing. I’ll definitely be eating here again trying the whole menu!

Love this local spot! Pizza is excellent & the 4 cheese with honey pairs beautifully with the farmers' daughter beer, which is light and citrusy. Ashley, our sever was knowledgeable and really made our visit feel special. Would definitely recommend for a chill sunshine filled space!

Unique pizza place and a must go. They have a specifically different application on cool pizza combos in a quaint environment. Its the little details that make something really cool like the mis-matched dishes used to serve the food. The pizza is awesome and you absolutely have to try the pickle pizza it just works so well for taste and texture - not sure how!

Brought my mom here on Saturday March 18 for lunch. Food looks great in pics. We entered. The music was very loud. We couldn’t even hear eachother talk. Before we even ordered I could tell my mom was not comfortable with the loud music. This is a restaurant. Not a bar. I asked my mom if she wanted to leave and she agreed. Too bad. This review is based on the ambience. Not the food. A word to the owners. Turn down the music. You’re not a nightclub.

Loooove the quality of pizza. Also adore they have vegan cheese for us lactose intolerant people. Highly recommend.
