The Next Page

I love the bookstore Pages in Kensington and was looking forward to visiting their sister store, The Next Page, in Inglewood. The staff is very hit and miss. There is one woman in particular who is incredibly rude and dismissive so much that I will not be shopping here again and will stick to the Kensington book shop, Pages. Unfortunate because The Next Page is such a cute little shop with a great selection and I love shopping local but the attitude of some of the staff is brutal.wow.

Charming store packed with books along the Kensington Ave promenade. I usually bee line to the upstairs for sections on history, politics, biographies, art and tarot cards. I purchase online too and their inventory is accurate and updated often.

Such a cute bookstore and I LOVE that the basement is all used books! Such a great little spot.

Great selection of books! The staff is very sweet and the deliveries work very smoothly. They helped me surprise my long distance boyfriend with a book for his birthday. Thanks again!

We will NEVER come here again! We are from out of town and happened to stumble across this independent bookstore on a Saturday late afternoon.my wife went in and wouldnt you know it, it was almost 5pm and the store was closing. The young lady on duty let her know she could look around for 2 mins as they were closing. My wife asked what time they were open the next day and was told by the same young lady that she didnt need to tell her as it is posted on the door. My wife will buy books randomly and we appreciate that it was closing but were very rudely interacted with. We will find another independent to go do shopping with while we are in Calgary.there is always Chapters as well.too bad as we always try to shop local!

I love this bookshop! So cozy, with friendly staff, and a great used book selection. The only thing I would ask is that they use actual signs to easily indicate the sections. The ones they have are not obvious and took awhile to locate.

This is such a wicked place and I'm so happy that it's here! The baristas and other staff are hilarious and have a super fun and spunky attitude, the coffee is delicious (pictured) and even has a pay-what-you can option, and the place is decorated with vintage typewriters (also pictured)! The selection of books is totally awesome and I love coming here. They also display and sell cards and visual art that are hand made by local artists (also pictured). Thanks so much, folks!

This was an amazing experience! The staff were so nice, and I loved the little movie theater they had in the basement. Definitely would come again!

A must visit spot in Inglewood if you're a page turner. Always leave with a book I'm excited about.

Such a cool vibe the second you walk in, the vaulted ceilings & book shelves combo in the main upstairs is so incredibly cool, and I'm always a fan of a good used books basement

Not a friendly place for people with disabilities. I phoned this store and I asked if they have a washroom for customers. They don't. Having a washroom for customers is a basic necessity for businesses. How am I supposed to browse books and explore different genres for more than an hour if the store does not have a washroom for paying customers? Shelf Life Books is much better. They have two washrooms. I am driving from far away from the NW of the city and for me to not have access to a washroom means I will have a bad experience at the store. The Next Page's book collection is good, but it does not accommodate people who need a restroom after a long drive. I thought encouraging the customers to browse your book collection for a longer time was a good way to entice them to buy more products. Shelf Life Books gets this basic business know-how, The Next Page does not.

I stumbled upon this place while just walking around and I will definitely be back! Great book store up top, and used books in the basement!

Floor to ceiling books with an equally grand ladder, what's more to ask? Decor aside, the staff are the best people to sell books.

Calgary really needed a magical bookshop like this. You can tell that whoever is curating the selections is very intelligent and compassionate. It's absolutely impossible for me to leave there empty handed. The coffee is also really wonderful!

This is the raddest book store in Calgary! You are missing out if you don't go here for a coffee and buy some books. Great big selection of new titles and a used section downstairs. Go here!

Beautiful bookstore in such a great location! There's plenty of good finds, helpful staff, and a sweet old-bookstore environment. Will definitely go here again when I find myself in Inglewood.

This store layout and display is beautiful, not only are they selling books, but a full artisan experience. It’s worth just visiting and checking out the full length shelving stocked with books, décor, and ambiance.

This place is fantastic. The building is beautiful - you can just see the history! Too bad the staff didn't know anything about it when I asked. And the books! So many unique and unusual choices - things I have never heard of and things I have not seen in chain stores. I considered a maze book, though I ended up selecting a book that explains complicated concepts in basic language (funny to boot).

The basement is filled with paperbacks and used books, so it was lovely to browse. I walked away with a Calvin and Hobbes in great condition.

Lovely book store in the heart of Inglewood. They have a used book section downstairs and a little coffee are to grab a drink on the go. The staff is super friendly and they will help you get books if they don't have them in store. Love visiting and browsing their selection!

Definitely my favourite bookstore in the city! Lots of focus on diversity and inclusion, in their recommended books. The used section in the basement is amazing with tons to look through and most of the books still being in very good condition! Also I made a friend while looking through the used books today.

Excellent store. I find the books arrangement a little hard to understand but then again I always manage to find something I wouldn't have normally looked for. Don't shop Indigo, shop The Next page!

Awesome ambiance. It adds to the experience when you're drinking one of their equally fulfilling lattes (mine had oat milk not dairy milk). But the best and most important part of this whole trip there was for the books, and what a great collection of new and used books they have. The Next Page just nails it from cover to cover.

I ordered some books for Christmas gifts and got a personalized response. The order arrived quickly. I opted to pick up at the store and the staff were friendly and helpful. It cost a few dollars more for the special order but it was well worth it to support a local business.
