The Palace Theatre stands as one of the premiere larger venues in the city for good reason. Although the drinks can get pricey, it's well worth it for the experience of seeing your favorite live act here.
Look, I'm sure the rest of the staff is great, but it only takes one bad apple to spoil the bunch. One member of the security staff was completely unprofessional and rude. He belittled everyone he scanned in line and his comments were very loud and abrasive. I've had TSA agents nicer than this guy. He has no business dealing with the general public.
Never coming back here for a show just so I hopefully never run into this guy again.
A great venue. It does get super hot and muggy inside if the place is at full capacity. Also, washrooms can get really crowded because they're at the bottom of a staircase.
There was the biggest concert of most popular Nepalese band from Nepal “NAPATHYA” I enjoyed a lot. But the problem their guard of The palace Theatre. They didn’t give the access of minor alcoholic person. This is my first experienced ever my life to prohibited to access to the concert hall to the minor alcoholic person without to make any trouble. In my experienced I had been worked world largest night club Sanctuary nightclub Atlantis The Palm Jumeirah Dubai UAE. It’s the Arab country. But for the customers they think customers are the God. In my experienced in The Palace Theatre they thought customers are nothings. This is very very worst customer services. Please don’t make any program in this Hall.
First time ever at the palace. Went to see steel Panthers. Loved the layout and enough staff to make the night smooth. Great place will be returning for other shows now that I know.
Nice inside, security and screening are efficient.
The venue far oversells capacity and the top level is at an awkward angle making it hard to see for all but the first row or two. We got a booth that looked great until hundreds of people who couldn’t see anywhere else started crowding. We tried moving but it’s the same everywhere.
Get there early, get a good view where people can’t stand in front of you, or prepare to listen only.
Amazing live venue. Both floors are very cool. Lots of seating as well as a large standing area in front of the stage. Sound quality was excellent. Bars are quick and efficient. Staff is friendly. So many great vantage points to watch bands from, I’m excited to come back here again.
It's pretty good. Multiple walk ways to get where you want. ATM inside too. Friendly staff One lady said she liked my shoes that had the twins from the shining on them. Sound was great in there.
I'm a regular concert attendee, but this was my first time at The Palace Theatre. The kindness of the staff, the merch sellers and the security team was outstanding. I was able to chat with the theatre manager and he is truly committed to making this a great venue where attendees will have a fantastic concert experience while feeling valued and safe. I only experienced professionalism from every member of the security team and I would happily return the next time I am in Calgary.
It’s my favourite venue for a concert or party because it’s the most spacious and has multi levels, a good size dance floor, a nice stage and multiple bars. Went there for the rewind party in the pics.
Went here for the grandson concert on 07/29/23.it was my first time at this venue and oh my gosh it was amazing.there was no such thing as a bad view of the stage and all the staff were so friendly! One of the bar backs even walked me to the washroom because i couldn’t find it. 10/10
Sowed up to see a concert the other night only to find out it was cancelled. Zero notification from the website and the doors were just closed. There was nothing on them stating what had happened either. And I wasn't alone. There were dozens of other people that has showed up too. I've seen other shows here and they were pretty good but what a poor display of ownership this particular time. It costs a lot to make your way downtown and plan not to drive only to be turned away at the door
