Great food and coffee, the customer service is great; specially some of the staff speaks Spanish, therefore that opens the possibilities for the community approaching.

Ita got a nice vibe and the food is good! Workers are friendly, it was a bit busy when we went but overall very nice!

7.50$ for half a sandwich. Im not impressed. No warning that its only half. The bill was 30$ for 2 halves of a breakfast sandwich (1 sandwich) and two coffees. Wont be coming back, I cant afford nonsense.

Best sausage rolls anywhere around. Very cheerful and hardworking staff. My only complaint is the location. I do not like downtown Lethbridge.

A nice establishment. I had the chicken bacon wrap and iced mocha. Food and drink was good.

Cute little spot. They give you a little ginger cookie that's penny sized. I was a fan of that

Cute intimate cafe with vegan and gluten free options. Prices are about on par with Starbucks for much higher quality offerings.

Stopped in for some baked goods and a flat white which were very good Hannah was super friendly and the staff is always welcoming.

What a great place! My boyfriend & I are in Lethbridge on holidays, and wanted lunch. Great service, delicious tuna melt, pleasant, progressive, friendly, safe atmosphere.
Truly a gem in downtown Lethbridge! It's on our list of great places to eat here! You should go!

Lot's of vegan options. The staff is incredible. Some days I walk in and just nod at the chef and my sandwich is ready before I pay or order anything. Top-notch service.

I have been coming here from another city since I was 8, my father insists the hockey bus stops for the next 15 years, then I spent university cramming and de stressing here, now I share it with my daughter. Coffee always fresh and delightful pastries, fresh and local. Staff bubbly friendly and make you feel like you’ve become part of an epic tv series. Then they do something to remind you why this coffee shop feels like a piece of home in an eat Alberta guide book from way back when and still true. Pasta salad and lemon aid a must!

I waited 25 minutes for an Americano. When I finally received it, it tasted like water. I'm not even sure she added espresso to it. I couldn't be bothered to complain because I had already been there for way longer than I had intended.

On the second visit.emboldened by the first ordered of the grill cheese and ham sandwiches with pickle with a fancy name.hold the dill sauce please. Got two slices of bread and a bit of yellow cheddar.no ham and no pickle. I guess I must have either been unclear of unheard. I will have to be cautious next time. (and the coffee was not drinkable this time)

Fastest service I’ve ever had hand down. I ordered the lunch special sandwich with pasta salad… fantastic! Will be a new favourite spot for my family for sure! Wonderful!

I love this place. The staff are incredibly kind and welcoming-not to mention that they are quite thorough in their covid safe protocols. They routinely sanitize their debits machines between each customer-use and also make sure to provide clean table numbers. I appreciate their concern for our well-being. Thanks to all the Penny staff for providing excellent service!

Just went to pick up my phone order and I believe, the owner, would not serve be because I had no mask. I have a medical exemption, but it is against the law (privacy act) to ask anyone for any personal medical information. They have officially lost another downtown business patronage.

Rude & arrogant workers. Have completely ineffective Covid policies requiring every individual to share spoons and touch the same pen, paper and clipboard. I understand the need for contact tracing but other amazing establishments such as Brown's have the waitress fill out the required information to limit transmission. When questioned about policies staff was rude and degrading. I wanted to support local businesses in this time but obviously we were not welcome. We will not be back and will be letting our friends know about the way we were treated.

Excellent food and drink selection. The staff is always very friendly and accommodating. They do a great job of being COVID safe, including providing clean pens and cutlery and sanitizing after every customer. I recommend this establishment to all my friends and family.

The young lady at the front till getting mad at the customer in front of me for not wanting to touch the same spoons and paper as the rest of the customers was a nice touch on my experience.its not the customers fault if you have an unsafe covid policy and take it out on customers for asking questions.

You can’t go wrong at Penny’s. The staff are wonderful, the coffee great and all the in house delicious food is seriously yummy. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Great food options and atmosphere. Very friendly staff as well. Only feedback is found the pasta salad a bit too al dente at the time- had nice flavour but could just be my perception, as I seen lots of good reviews for it.

I've been away from Lethridge for a while but am very glad Penny is still going strong. Really good coffee and excellent service.

Some of the best drinks, baked goods, and lunches in town! Always something new and delicious to try with many gluten free and vegan options!

Great pastries and loved the local artist prints on display. Good hangout for professionals and students more than families though.

I don’t think there are enough words to describe how amazing The Penny is. Everything you could ever want in a coffee house this place has it. The pasta salad is to die for. Amazing BLTs, and other sandwiches. Not sure what is better, the food or the employees ️ The London fog is my absolute favourite drink to get, but the sweetened iced tea is also amazing. You are missing out if you have never been!

Nice friendly service! They had someone training while I ordered and I couldn’t be happier with the service I received and the coaching I witnessed of the new staff! Great place for a great drink!

So good. The latte was amazing. The breakfast quesadilla was very good. And oh look.strawberry peach crumble, that tastes better than it looks. 5 stars!

The Penny is one of my favourite spots in Lethbridge. They have amazing menu items, terrific drinks, a welcoming atmosphere and the most friendly and thoughtful staff. I love all of their variations of London fogs- my favourite being the Lethbridge mist. Lethbridge is lucky to have the Penny. It is truly the heart of downtown Lethbridge.

A few of my earliest memories are from The Penny. My Mom used to order a cinnamon bun for me to munch on while she and her girlfriends would gab away over coffee. I was barely tall enough to see over the edge of the table, but thankfully my arms could reach the plate. Having a whole cinnamon bun to myself at just 4 years old was the greatest gift I could imagine. I would stare up at the world map and peer shamelessly at George Costanza's Timeless Art of Seduction hanging on the wall. What can I say, The Penny Coffee House holds a place in my heart and I'm grateful it's still open to this day. 5 Stars.

Amazing pasta salad best you will ever find. Chai is nice and spicy. Lattes are great and amazing latte art and a lot of different milk choices.

There werent many restaurants opened on family day but luckily Penny coffee house was! I enjoyed a delicious Americano and half sized salad and California blt. They were very well done. In total it came out to be about 18 dollars which is reasonable for a breakfast.

A regular java-ing hole for me & many others. The penny has a classic, homey coffee shop atmosphere & friendly service. Its a Lethbridge classic.

Wish there was better wifi, the drinks I find overpriced for what you get but the food is muy delicioso! Make sure you try the vegan treats like the pretzels and the pasta salad!

Props to the penny for being one of the only cafes with any decent vegan food options. I am allergic to egg and dairy and this is the only cafe I will go to if I plan on eating, the vegan quesadilla is beautiful and I thank you for it. ️

I’ve know about this place for a few years, but since I’m not a coffee drinker I don’t think about stopping in. That doesn’t matter this place has a good selection of hot and cold beverages. I had a green tea and shared a granola, raisin, oatmeal, square and good thing there was 2 of us.

Atmosphere is excellent, staff friendly and helpful, Bread for sandwiches is made in house so the smell when you walk it makes your mouth water.

Went back the next day and tried a couple more of the fresh baked food and again was not disappointed.

Try this place and warm up this winter.
