Staff at the salon itself was very friendly and nice.however a little unhappy with the haircut as it was not what I asked for. Also was called to reschedule twice. Once was at 7: 00 am and then when I got there later that day they told us we may not be able to get in which was frustrating.

This was our pups first time boarded and as nervous as I was for how she would react, the staff were friendly and sweet with her at drop off and quickly put my worries at ease. I loved the daily reports and photos, comforting to know she was happy. Would highly recommend to friends and will book her here again in the future. Thank you Petropolitan for taking such great care of our sweet girl!

Our French bulldog dog Bandit absolutely loves going to the Petropolitan! He goes to the daycare and the hotel for overnight stays on a regular basis. He is always so happy when we drop him off because he can’t wait to play with his friends. We love getting the report cards and pictures during his hotel visits. The staff are always so friendly and answer all my (millions of) questions in a respectful and timely manner. They are also great at accommodating for his medical needs and high energy level. Lastly, I can tell how much they adore him and take good care of him which is such a relief! As an added perk, we always send him to their spa at the end of his hotel stays so that he comes home fresh and clean.

We have a rescue that is reactive to other dogs and they always take wonderful care of him. We’ve been putting him up here for the past 5 years and have had a great experience every time.

Our kitty stayed at the Petropolitan while we were on vacation. They did a great job and accommodated our kitty’s asthma medication, which we really appreciated!

Our little guy loved the Petropolitan! Our frenchie Phil is on a raw food diet and the Petropolitan was able to accommodate seamlessly. They also sent a ‘report card’ so we can see how he’s doing when we’re gone!

The Petropolitan always takes such good care of my dog, she always comes home tired and happy! I love the first day report cards and that they post on their IG story so you can watch along throughout the day.

I had stop taking my dog here. We began using Petropolitan in May 2021 and initially I was very pleased. My 2 year old collie Wick loved it and the staff were always super professional and friendly, making us feel like part of a family. A year later however I began to get confusing, vague, non-specific “reports” about Wick “acting out” on occasion after I would pick him up from a stay. But the reports never disclosed anything I thought would be concerning for someone in Petropolitan’s business - they mostly said Wick seemed “fixated” or tried to herd the other dogs in his cohort. There was no mention of aggression. I was at a loss because that behaviour is normal for a collie.

After a few months the owner called me to suggest I use her side gig dog walking business. From what I could tell it was the same price for less time away and more risk to the dog in the event it ran away at an off leash park. I couldn’t see the appeal. I said I would think about it but became distracted with a personal medical issue that affected my ability to speak. After a few weeks I took Wick in for a day of day care and when I was checking him out I was told he was “removed” from group play early that day because of his behaviour and charged more because of this. The person working at reception that I was dealing with would not provide me with specifics because they “weren’t in the room” with the dogs when Wick was acting out but this person did volunteer that the owner had tried to discuss the issue with me and I hadn’t gotten back to her. When I told the person at reception I had been dealing with a serious medical issue they said nothing; they simply waited for my receipt to print before handing it to. I counted three steamboats and then left. The whole encounter with this person was cold to the point of being comical, and the process leading up to it confusing and Kafkaesque. I never went back.

Wick is very happy at SODOG now and there have been no complaints or “reports”. It makes me wonder if the staff at Petropolitan were even attempting to engage with the dogs at the end.

My puppy is very shy and after just 3 days at The Pet, she’s more confident and outgoing. I feel much more relaxed leaving her there while I’m at work, knowing she’s being well looked after and having fun. She’s a bit sad today to be working from home with me instead of playing with other pups her own size. Highly recommend!

Hannah was so lovely. She groomed by pup really well and was so sweet to send me a very detailed update on how he’s done. Definitely coming back.

Best doggie daycare in Calgary, my pup gets so excited as soon as we make it into downtown (she knows exactly where we’re going!)

They take such good care of her every time she goes, and they send her home exhausted each time. You can tell the staff love the animals as if they were their own.

Highly recommend this amazing place, I have tried out 2 other daycares in Calgary, and they can’t compete to this gem.

It was an excellent facility with topnotch care from Marina. Our dog looked and smelled fantastic! Expert care. Our dog trusted the groomer. I would highly recommend this service.

Such a great experience start to finish. Hannah was great with Nala, made sure she wasn’t to stressed with the blow dryer and kept her reactivity at bay with the other dogs She came out looking even more beautiful than I left her. We will be back for more regular grooming a for sure! Also super convenient being close to the core.

First time taking my labradoodle here for grooming, and they did an amazing job! They didn't shave her all the way down, like some places would claiming that she was "matted". They understood that she had tighter curls and were able to get her down to a nice coat size for the winter. They explained that she didn't enjoy getting her paws trimmed but managed to work with her to get it cleaned up. She has been knicked by other groomers in the past, and so now she is a bit hesitant when it comes to her paws. I believe after a couple regular visits, she will be more comfortable. Their grooming space is very open, with floor to ceiling glass, which allows you to watch them groom if you wanted to. This has got to be one of the best places we have taken her to get groomed, and look forward to future visits.

We absolutely LOVE the PetroPolitan! Everyone is absolutely amazing to our little man (especially Nicole for playtime and Devan for always hooking our schedule)! From walks during the day, breaks if he needs them, and a report at the end of his visit. We’ve been clients since 2020 and wouldn’t dream of taking him anywhere else! Thanks for being wonderful!

Took my 1-year old Labradoodle in for a grooming appointment. Paige and team did a great job with his haircut and they were super pleasant to deal with. Will definitely go back again. Will probably try the daycare too based on this experience.

First groomer since I’ve had my dog that’s delivered consistent service and quality. We’ve been exceptionally pleased every time we’ve taken our dog in for a groom. Highly recommend!

We loved taking our little guy here! They were so friendly, and so helpful in getting him to feel comfortable while we were away for the day! Loved the report card too, such a nice touch! Highly recommend!

We dropped our fur baby off for a night, and despite being a very anxious puppy, they took such good care of him, and checked in with me to keep me posted on how he was doing. They knew he would be anxious but made sure he felt secure and comfortable, and was well taken care of. When I went to go pick him up, they said they’d be happy to have him back anytime. I was extremely happy with the service and will most definitely be back!

The staff at the Petropolitan is really caring and supportive with Buster when I left him there for a week. The staff informed me concerns about Buster on a on going basis. Never once did I felt insecure about my decision leaving him in their care.

My dogs had a great time. They had the luxury suit for the weekend. It was a last minute thing, I’m glad they were able to accommodate in a short notice. I was very sketchy and skeptical about the pet hotel at first, as I wasn’t sure about it. I talked to the staff and as well as reading all of the reviews, and I made a decision to give it a try. Im glad I did. It’s a little more expensive than I expected, but it was worth it. Thanks again for the good service

Petropolitan is one of the best Dog Care places in town. "George" loves spending time there, and sometimes I have the impression that he would like to stay there for good
Seriously though, decent pricing and very accommodating staff. Checking in and out is a breeze.

Both our cat and dog seem to really enjoy their time at The Pet, be it for boarding (for both) or daycare (just for the dog). The staff at The Pet are incredibly responsive to emails and messages, and seem to genuinely care about our pets! We’ve also really enjoyed The Pet’s grooming services.

Our dog Archie comes here for occasional daycare and for any overnight stays we need and he loves it so much! He makes new friends and is always a tired doggy when he comes home! We love the Petropolitan, and will use them for all of our boarding needs!

My cat just stayed at the Petropolitan for 10 days and I am very happy with my experience. The Petropolitan staff were very friendly and responsive and professional when I first reached out online. I also liked that I could explore their facility digitally via Instagram. I felt like they took great care of my cat, and they even provided photo updates upon request. I would definitely recommend them to a friend, and will be bringing my cat back in the future.

I have been taking my 7month old Siberian Husky x Great Pyrenees called Bear here since he was 3 months. We started at the Pet with getting a “puppy primer” groom, which is a complimentary service that helps your puppy get used to grooming. Bear did not enjoy it, but the Pet provided me with excellent feedback to help manage this behaviour! Bear now loves his grooms and behaves very well!

We did have one mix-up with his last groom where they did end up cutting my dogs butt hair without me asking, however, Bre addressed and handled the situation with professionalism (and lots of care!) as it was a miscommunication and we were able to get Bear back in the following week to fix the things that were missed in his groom.

Bear loves it here for daycare and has made many new friends! He is still intact (until Aug 24) and they are still able to accommodate him! We have had no incidents from daycare and it is an amazing place for socialization!
The team at the Pet has been very kind and very understanding of the helicopter parents like myself! They have a text-line that you can check in on your pet with! The photos I’ve received at daycare are usually better than the ones I can get at home!

My little fur baby has been frequenting The Petropolitan for about 9 months now and absolutely loves it there. I never have to worry because I know he’s being taken care of by an amazing team of caring, compassionate and professional team of staff. We made a major move across the country and he needed some socialization and way to decompress from all the changes in his life and The Pet has been the most perfect and consistent safe space for his crazy energy. My dog Mars loves other dogs but not the biggest fan of humans sometimes. But he is always excited to go to the Pet because of the awesome team that works there. He has been going since we got him and I believe it has helped tremendously with his fear of people and leash walking skills. Even though he is a big dog who is a bit fearful of people they always manage to groom him without any complaints, though I'm sure its not easy. Love the service and will keep going back as long as they will take us.

We boarded our two pups, Brutus and Lo at the Petropolitan for 8 nights. Our dogs are full of energy and a handful to say the least however the Petropolitan was amazing and they loved their stay so much! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for boarding!

I am so glad I found the Petropolitan for my dog Zoey. She would go every day if she could. The staff is so wonderful I love how they have updates of the dogs, activities and field trips. Just the best place.

Our puppy Mable just loves going to the pet:) she's been to doggy daycare twice and absolutely loves it! She gets excited when we get there and so excited when we pick her up. I know she's getting such great care and attention when we drop her there for the day. We will most definitely be going again and hopefully be booking a weekend in June for boarding. My pup absolutely loves the Petropolitan. He was super anxious in the beginning but he has become a new dog! I love watching him play with other dogs on their Instagram story. They are super responsive when I schedule him for day care late notice because of my job. Plus it’s very beautiful inside! I would recommend this place to anyone!

Brought my dog here for the first time today, Dora was very friendly and honest about everything, she also did an amazing job. My dog was very matted but was left looking so cute. I'm so happy with the service at The Petropolitan. 100% recommend to anyone looking for a friendly and affordable salon for their pet.

Thank you for looking after my cat, Nico, during the times when I had to be away. He misses you - upon returning home, he made sad noises and went from room to room as if looking for something or someone. I am grateful and relieved that The Petropolitan is there to care for him. Thank you to the staff and workers who fed him, cuddled him, scooped his litter, etc. It's always scary to leave a beloved pet in someone else's hands, but I trust The Petropolitan wholeheartedly.

So happy to have found The Pet. Our pup Nakoda had a very bad experience at another day care which really affected her confidence and trust of humans. Knowing what she has been through, since day 1 the staff at the Pet have been so sweet and encouraging with her. Her confidence is really growing and she is getting much better with humans which makes us so happy. I have also noticed a great change in her behaviour. She is a lot more patient and an overall better behaved dog. I love what they do and we have never looked back. Furthermore, the staff are always professional yet friendly, the premises are spotless and the hours are fantastic.

Amazing place to send your animals, this was my dogs first time there and never being socially interactive with dogs omg she did amazing and loved every minute of being there, I will definitely be bringing my dog back to this establishment in the future

My 4 month old puppy loves his time at the Petropolitan! I feel good because I know he is socializing with other dogs and learning how to play and interact with a variety of dogs in a safe space. Great staff and service 100% of the time. The best part is that he always comes home ready for a nap!:)

I cannot say enough how amazing the Petropolitan is. They have changed the life of my pup forever - and I cannot thank them enough! Hailey the owner helped me (with open arms) last minute when I needed safe and caring boarding during last year’s thanksgiving weekend. We haven’t looked back since! From the fun parties, to the best grooming Fletcher has ever had, the supervised daycare, to devoted and caring staff (Bre, Jordan, Kaitlyn - you all rock!). You need to take your dogs here!

My home recently was affected by a fire and my 2 cats needed a place to go while we figured everything out. The Petropolitan was very professional and gave a great quality of service for my pets who needed somewhere temporary to go.

My pup loves it here! The staff are awesome, they remembered him from the first day, he has an awesome time, and I know he’s happy and safe here. So convenient, and love that you can add daycare to a spa appointment for grooming. We are in love with the Pet!

This has been the first and only daycare for Jasper and he loves to go to his “school “ he cannot hear that word because he gets so excited, he knows the way there and start walking around the car when we are approaching, barely letting me put his leash on to get him down. This means the world to me, this tells me how much care and fun he gets from all the girls at The Petropolitan, this is a huge relief for me, to know that he is safe, being taken care of and is having fun!

The Pet has the best, most welcoming staff. It’s hard to find good service anymore, but The Pet has it all figured out. They always remember my girl by name and are always thrilled to see her. She has a blast while she’s there and is pooped when she gets home! Win-Win!

We’ve been taking our Shih-tzu Forrest here for grooming since they opened and wouldn’t trust anyone else with our little guy. He always gets a perfect cut, as they keep a detailed file on our preferences but this also allows us to make small adjustments as necessary. The staff are super friendly and attentive to our pet’s needs as well as our own.

I started bringing our rescue pup Bart here for some confidence building. He has been going weekly and the progress he has made has been nothing short of amazing! We have gone from me carrying him in, to him pushing through the gate to get inside. Bart always finishes his day happily exhausted and I couldn’t ask for more. All the staff have been wonderful and always greet me at the end of the day with comments on the day. Definitely recommend!

We love The Pet! Not only is it super cute, but the location could not be more convenient for those who work downtown. I love dropping Tilly off "at the spa" and she has the best time at daycare. The communication could not be better - they are always quick to reply to my emails and so very accommodating. We usually book Tilly a bath/ear clean/nail trim along with a full day of daycare. We always pick up a squeaky clean and incredibly tired pup from a big day of fun.

We have been taking Penny to petropolitan once a week for about 8 weeks now. Our dog is a timid rescue so we thought it would be great to get her some socialization.

I only have positive things to say about petropolitan and all of the staff. Everyone there is incredibly kind and are just great with the dogs (and their owners for that matter).

At first our pooch was a bit nervous to go and now she comes home sooo excited!

My dog came back to me with a film on her fur and smelling like urine. She was supposed to be groomed when she stayed and that didn't happen after to was told it was something they could do. Also they didn't confirm with me what package I wanted for my dog and just charged me silver package when there was no confirmation. I had to ask for updates about my dog. Horrible experience

My dog Brad was very shy when we first got him, and taking him to daycare here made him so much more confident. I also noticed he walks better with me since they take them for pack walks. I highly recommend bringing your dog here, especially as a puppy for socialization. Everyone here is sweet, and I always know he is in good hands when i drop him off.

Took my puppy there for daycare, came back exhausted and happy, enjoyed how they show what they are up to on thier Instagram.

Have taken him for grooming there as well and haven't had any problems, will definitely come back for any pup needs.
