First visit to Sylvan Lake. Popped in for some Xmas gifts. None of the staff wearing masks. Never seen that before during the pandemic. Chose not to shop here.

A group of 5 of us stopped in on the Friday of September long weekend as we were camping at Jarvis Bay. This shop has fantastic products. We bought a bunch of meat, some Sylvan Star cheese, jerky and steak bites. We haven't tried everything yet, but the jerky and steak bites were fantastic. The jerky had just the right amount of chewyness and was well seasoned. The service was helpful and polite. I'd highly recommended stopping in.

I just thought I'd post about my lovely shopping experience at Ranchgate Meats in Sylvan Lake. They were friendly and educated, they have created an information board for people at the front of their store for people so they understand the law and also people with disabilities (seen and unseen) around mask and exemptions. I can tell they are supporting of their staff that have health challenges and are creating a supportive environment. I'm happy to recommend and support this store because of the time they've taken time to be educated on safety and laws for their customers and staff but also because they have great product. They sell Yak which is sooo good! Thank you for making my experience positive and healthy!

Completely love this place. Everything you go in you see something else the stock that you want to put in your belly. For a stand alone butcher shop their prices are quite reasonable considering the premium quality you get

Staff is super friendly especially Dreef. Knowledgeable staff and tasty meet products. Garlic ring sausage is my favorite.
