The Rimrock Resort Hotel

It's a lovely place, very beautiful mountain views from the windows. The one thing that should have been prepared for guests, at least durig winter, is shoe cleaning facility due to salt residuals on shoe surfaces.

Spectacular views. A small group of us went for the Wednesday night pasta buffet in Primrose. Service was excellent as was the food.

Full disclosure, we paid a lot for an amazing room. We were in room 700. It has a wall of big windows and a huge balcony that looks over an incredible view of the mountains and river. It made this experience a step above exceptional. As did the service. We read an article and have heard staff discuss the fact that the Rimrock will start a major renovation very soon. It could take up to two years. The rooms and hotel are dated and look a little rough here and there but the service, food, experience and view have been so good it didn't matter.

Second time staying here and again had a wonderful experience. The hotel is beautiful and the level of customer service extraordinary. We had just crossed the border from the US and the Canadian side had us do take-home COVID tests, which the hotel staff were so helpful in getting dropped off with FedEx. We really appreciated the help. Can’t wait to stay here next time we’re in Banff.

My partner and I stayed here for our anniversary and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The hotel has a nice charm to it. The mountain view was stunning and well worth it. Cozy robes and fabulous room service. Service was awesome everywhere in the hotel.

Beautiful venue- the banquet and housekeeping team are lovely and generous!
I recommend the banquet venue for events almost more than the hotel itself.
I found the check in process chaotic, however it was busy at that time. I noted that there were many multi-lingual staff at the front desk- great for tourists!
I found the sheets quite pilled but still a decent sleep; decent pillows!
The room views are astounding from almost every floor. The hotel is built into the mountain so the main floor is actually the 7th- if you have the budget and want the experience of waking up to a mountain, try this hotel!
The valet/luggage check in team are super efficient and friendly! I'd recommend the valet option for the additional cost and convenience (solely because they really are organized and efficient!).
The venue is located close to many great hiking trails, and you can relax in the hot tub after!

I gave for 4 stars because the Rim Rock advertises an experience, but it feels like a normal pleasant hotel stay.they are a convenient and higher end stay because of location.

Had the charcuterie board and some drinks at Larkspur Lounge, food was delicious and service was great!

Such a great experience. Amazing service and the room was perfect. We also got a nice plate of treats on the house for our anniversary.

Fantastic experience. Unparalleled views, terrific room and the staff couldn't be more helpful. Breakfast in the Primrose is not to be missed. We will definitely be back!

We spent a week traveling from Lake Louise to Jasper and then Banff. We stayed at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, then the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, and then came to the Rimrock. It was absolutely on par with those other terrific hotels and way less expensive. What a fantastic Banff hotel: away from the crowds, unbelievable view from our balcony (we stayed in a Grandview Suite and it was worth every penny) and terrific food and service. We were able to hike up Sulfur Mountain right from the hotel. Terrific valet service and overall great hotel. I would definitely stay here again the next time we come to Banff. This is totally a hidden gem

We were here for a very lovely dinner at Eden. The hotel is amazing with great views the experience was top notch the whole time we were there.

From start to finish this hotel is a 5 star.
Location: right at the base of the skytram, Sulphur trailhead and the Banff hot springs. Just a 10 minute bus ride away from Banff townsite. As well, we were provided with complementary bus passes for our weekend stay
Price: worth it for the accessibility to some of Banff's best attractions
Aestetic: the exterior of the Rimrock was nice but when you get inside you'll he blown away by the beautiful cozy lobby. Live piano during dinner was a nice touch to make it a perfect weekend for us.

Nice facility and grounds. Pool maintenance needs more attention as the turbidity was quite high (couldn’t see the main drains or our feet) and the combined chlorine smell was intense.

We booked last minute our room. Quick customer service but first day they said they have hadroom available just for 1 day, when we asked them second day to stayed in same room then they said yes you can stay in same room. Don't understand their strategy. Rooms are neat and clean, close to gandola ride. Happy to stayed there.

This place is one of our favourite getaways. Very well train staff that really care and develop relationships with recurring guests like us. Stay away from the classic Grandview and ensure you request a modern room.

It was standered room same as cbest western or comfort inn. No breakfast
Paid $560 per night for 2 queen bed.
Next day we moved to Rocky Mountain Resort $260 per night which is well deserved if you compare The Rim Rock.

Loved this hotel! It is walking distance to the gondola ride. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Beautiful views from every room.

Staff was super friendly and accommodating. The views are beautiful and everything is still close by:) the spa, pool, and gym are all very clean, professional, and comfortable. Helps that I had a great date for the whole trip but he's not included
